- My existing screen door was flimsy and falling apart, so I built a new one using scrap and reclaimed lumber with an integrated pet door.

Looks awesome! The ASMR is top notch, too.
thanks!

Thank you, I appreciate it!
I too like to make things while blasting Coheed! Great project, about to build a screen door myself.
💪🏽 Thanks, good luck!
woo Coheed!
🤘
came to pay this as well!
I loled when you ripped the door off. 💪
Nice work, clean edit. Good to see you, hope all is well.
@@reforzar haha, thanks. I actually didn't mean to do that, i was genuinely surprised! Hope you are well too!
best video I ever saw!
~9 minutes of high quality woodworking ASMR.
Thanks!
I can so relate to the first 35 seconds.
I wish i knew someone who could do this!
Great video, exactly what I want to do for my screen porch and my dog. I appreciate seeing all the steps on time lapse so I don't have to guess how you did it. A couple questions though.....were 2 hinges enough since I'm guessing the new door was heavier than the original? And also - would you use a hand plane and shave down the bottom outer corner of the door so it doesn't stick on the floor (like it does around 8:07) when you open it, or is that a bad idea because it will let bugs in when it's closed? With talent like this I'm surprised you only have 1k subscribers!
Thank you!! Two hinges seem to be enough for me. While the door is heavier than the old one, it is still mostly screen so it's not that heavy overall. I actually did cut down some on the bottom after the video, but I'm actually planning on moving the door to the outside so it swings out instead of in and then I won't have to worry about it. You can also add a flexible door sweep to close the gap and keep any bugs out.
Love this!
Wow great video, you make woodworking and building look fun. But I think we are all left with the same question. Has Maggie ever gained the confidence to use the doggie door?
Thanks! Yes, she has! I had to leave the plastic flap off for a few days so she could get used to just going through the door. Then I added it back and she slowly started using it.
great build! i assume you used regular PT; what did you bring the final thickness down to after planing?
Thanks! I'm not too sure, but I think it was probably somewhere around 1-1/4". I don't live there anymore, or I would go measure it. The wood I used was some scrap and old studs from a wall I took down.
Nice video about to do the same got 3dogs to that with thanks gdlooks.
Thanks and good luck!
I want to teach myself how to do this. I have a couple of hammers and a bunch of nails. That's about it. I really dont want to ask for help but it seems like that's a guarantee. I'm clearly gonna need it. Xoxo Miss Needaman 😏🤞
