When you have a site that good you really need to respect it!! Such an awesome site! My wife wonders why I spend so much time wandering around the next day and I don't want to hit an unspent tube with the mower!! Man those brocades go REALLY far I didn't know such big pieces went so far too!!
Exactly! I would never want to leave this beautiful site in disarray that may cause the owners to not let me return next year. Leave no trace. Lol right, they really do like to travel.
Sadly low funds so no show for the 4th this year. I'm always the only cleaner which sucks so I'm not to mad for a no show. Love your channel let's go New Years!!
For regular people the best way really is to start shopping and/or saving months ahead of time. Give yourself a couple months and a budget that makes sense for the timeline you set then it makes things easier. Even if it's only 20 bucks a month, by next year you can do a good show.
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm also glad you recognize the budget priorities and are not spending the money you shouldn't! Cheers to no cleanup this year lol and let's go New Years!
I need that machine to help pickup lol and you probably built that road through out the years with all those cement plugs 😅 and yes taking off the wrap on shells does help keep the mess down I do that, most wraps slide rite off.
Haha, that sweeper was a game-changer! Going to request that from my friends every year now. Right? Gotta help upkeep the road (which by the way is all on private land)
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics definitely do request that machine and that's one big road, lots of land and hope you got some rest after all the work you put in this year, vacation even better lol
I always pull the plastic tops and wrappers from shells. Always cut the tops off of all my cakes. Being solo clean up most of the time, it makes it much easier to do the prep work. That yard sweeper sure does come in handy. What a time saver.
I'm going to follow suit and do the same with my canister shells next year. I don't see a bunch of those tops laying around, which means they are probably blown into tiny bits (which makes me want to avoid that lol).
It's a tremendous I'm out of work. Like my girlfriend said the last time I did one. She thinks people should actually come out and lend a hand to clean up and it would make it a lot easier. But I guess we just enjoy it so we do it LOL. Again great video 👍👍💥💥
Right? I don't mind cleaning up my own mess at all, and I'm lucky that I had three people helping me pick up too. Next year, there will be volunteer sign-up sheets! lol
Incredible! Rocket sticks used to piss me off, lol. Specially on roofs and lanai cages. Chalk it up to the cost of giving people a world Class Free fireworks display. 😁😉
I light my finale part of a long string of firecrackers in a wheelbarrow these days. Better reverberation and much easier cleanup. Try it out sometime. A wheelbarrow on site has many uses for a pyro
Thanks for showing this part of fireworks. I spent all day on the 5th cleaning up my field, those plastic shells from the Saturn missile batteries are banned from my setups from now on haha
Clean up !!!! an unfortunate byproduct of being a pyro that everyone pyro should do. I know I did a great job this year in minimizing the clean up and I still was in the lake picking up debris 4 days later. Thanks for showing the final step to your show this year.
My pleasure! You're correct; it's the inevitable byproduct of our passion. I also like to show this so that hopefully others clean up their messes too lol.
Interesting! My howling cakes definitely caught fire and I did have some of those pro-use only cakes catch fire but I couldn't tell if it was the Nishiki's or the Go-Getters
Cleanup is always the fun part of the whole show, I could see that the brush was over shooting the trash, it shot a 12 pack of Miller Light into the golf cart. Lol!
Too bad about that finale. Went to a local show with a big finale misfire. Wichita Wind Surge 4th show missing the entire final sweep and salute barrage. Think they had to handlight it. Each of the 3 stations fired sequentially with a good 10s delay well after everyone thought the show was over.
Yikes! That always sucks, but things happen. I noticed the left position didn't fire live, but it didn't take away from the finale enough to matter, just would have made it better! lol
Had multiple flare ups after my show. The entire neighborhood was bombed in smoke for a good half hour. BTW that lawn sweeper is ancient. lol. I've got one that is mostly covered and gets 95 percent of the garbage. Had 5 cakes out of my 350 that didn't go off. The rain got em unfortunately. And 7 shells out of 600 didn't catch. Wish I had video but we were racing and fighting the rain so didn't have time to set up my camera. Kinda bummed but the show was still great!!
I feel you on racing against the rain man! Sounds like an epic show! Lol yeah, that lawn sweeper doesn't get used often I'm told. We tied it at a more extreme angle and it worked way better for catching stuff and I have already started looking at a covered one to buy lol
Yeah, i pulled a string of 8000 firecrackers up into the top of a tree with a string one time. Never again. Covered about an acre with shredded red paper. I cut the wrappers off shells and tops off cakes. And I leave the firecrackers at the store now. Too much mess to deal with.
Great video man. What effects is the plastic a product of? I mean in general, not for just what you showed. I'd rather not use ones with plastic. And there has to be a reason, so why use plastic casings? Keep up the great videos.
Thank you! Pretty much anything that whistles or hums has plastic in it. In my show I had a ton of howling cakes in the finale and that is where all that plastic came from. Also, the top of canister shells generally has a plastic cap. A lot of people will remove those caps before loading into their racks. There are also some devices that have a plastic disc/cap with holes in them. I can't say for sure where those came from.
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics for me this year it was still on the ground but once everything went up over the trees and broke it all fell towards the audience.
Cleanup? What a that? Audience has no clue about both setup time and cleanup time! If they only knew what it really takes to put on a show from start to finish....
The hand toss of the plugs into the driveway 😂
I thought that was pretty damn funny myself
Gotta keep you guys entertained whenever I can!
That was hilarious. 😂 Loved it, along with... TOP. lol

I cut the wrappers of the cans for the first time this year and ut made a big difference on clean up

Right? On top of roofs is the worst if you don't have an easy way to get up there.
Great show great clean up vid
Thanks man!

That's a great idea for sound and clean up! I know some people that do that with 5-gallon buckets and firecrackers for the same reason.
Thanks for showing this part of fireworks. I spent all day on the 5th cleaning up my field, those plastic shells from the Saturn missile batteries are banned from my setups from now on haha
I don't blame you! I thought the same thing after cleaning them up. I still have a case with 8 more though.. lol
Yes, its always "fun" cleaning up our 'after show' isn't it? Oh well, its gotta be done. Its the responsible thing to do!
Right! The day after cleanup is always peaceful for me. The night of the show, ewww lol

Well Joel, my 4th of July show went off without a hitch except for one artillery shell that flower potted. Works by me 😁👍💥
I'm glad to hear that and hopefully that flower pot wasn't super damaging!
Definitely worth cutting the wrappers off the shells!
I'm glad to hear that! I will be converting to this method next year
I had SO76 go getters this year as well and most caught fire.
Interesting! My howling cakes definitely caught fire and I did have some of those pro-use only cakes catch fire but I couldn't tell if it was the Nishiki's or the Go-Getters
I used hundreds of those whistling salute cakes this year, and boy, you're right they made a huge mess
I bet that was amazing in person! And messy lol
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics yes absolutely insane brother
This year for some reason we had more casings that fell behind the shoot area. Ain’t gravity wonderful??
It's a blessing and a curse lol
Cleanup is always the fun part of the whole show, I could see that the brush was over shooting the trash, it shot a 12 pack of Miller Light into the golf cart. Lol!
We ended up tying the catcher upright, so it caught waaaay more. I didn't even get one of those Miller lights either. RIP lol
