Great tips. One of my favorite things to do with synths is hit the synth bus with a mid/side EQ. Dip the mids/low mids in just the middle channel a bit. This gives the sides a perceived lift in volume and frees up some real estate in your mid-range.
Hell yeah I would like to learn a lot more about production involving synths. I'm good with the programming/developing sounds, I'm very interested in production recommendations, especially compression advice.
I laughed because this so true for me.. Hahaha!!! Always got to cut up to 60hz or I cut the kick and have the synth and bass mixed below the kick depending upon the key and song of course
You really should ask Howard Benson to make a video about his process of using synths in a track. I know that he doubles guitar parts with synths etc. But I like to know the details of his workflow and his philosophy on that.
How do mix synths? Also, drums, bass, guitar, and vocals? ¯\(°_o)/¯ Srs tho, I really struggle to get synths and heavy guitars to sit well together. One of them always sounds weak and they don't gel into a cohesive whole. 😔
Depending on DAW - may not even be a plugin. Studio One, for example, has the tools like what he uses within its editing panes. However, if you want more in-depth - look at Samplers. Your DAW probably has one already, and they usually allow you to manipulate the hell out of any sound you put in. They also allow you (usually) to create midi instruments with the samples you put in 😁
@@philippreicher I don’t know off-hand, but I’d be shocked if there wasn’t! If you google/RUclips: native sampler logic - you should be able to find out pretty quick!
0:15 lmao what is this example? ive never had that happen, ever. Sounds like clipping with more distortion stacked on top just to make it sound horrible. I mean you really have to mess up bad for that to happen
Yes please! Teach us about envelopes! I am tired of mailing them and not getting anything back
@@GtrSynSoloLessons ahh silly me...
Off topic but your username is based. Appreciate it🇺🇦
I would love a video on this
You need to push them, not mail them.
Throw them out the window and use eMail instead. The tech revolution is here brother

would love to see more tutorials about synths in general 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Sidechaining can be great for synths, the most important thing is the context (arrangement is key)
Yes, we want a synth sound tutorial!
Wonderful tips! Who did the sound design for the little clips used?
FINALLY A GOOD VIDEO ABOUT THIS TOPIC

What kind of plugin is this at 0:59 where you can create samples out of audio files and shift the notes?

It's almost like they used a super exaggerated example to make a point 🙃
@@vladv5126 lmfao yeah must have missed the point since everything in this video is generic advice for beginners
