i put 5g off and i live in a country (the netherlands) who has 5g, i did this because i feel like the battery is more important. i literally dont feel any difference in speed when using 4g or 5g. The only con on this is when you get a phone call the internet goes off. :S
Sony xperia 5 ii is the best phone i've ever owned! The only reason I would switch to a newer one would be the wireless charging, E-sim option and brighter screen backlit performance in outdoor light.
I bought the sony xperia 5ii in 2021 with a huge discount for 630 euro. Best buy i ever did. What an amazing phone. Although not perfect. I always charge it till 80% abd only charge it till 100% when i know i need the juice. I always have it at 60fps cause i really care more about battery life then useless 120fps (only used 120 fps on pokemon go pvp). I use rhe gaming app in google maps set to all setting low to save a bit batrery when using gps. Photos are in general amazing eith the standard photo app. For best night video i use the 30fps 1080 p and can even put the exposure slider to max brightness. I always use the headphone jack while riding my motorbike. What i would like to see better : 1. Burst mode in the normal photo app to make only 1 photo with rhe physical shutter button (now i use rhe on acreen button for that)(would like it to have like half a second delay on the ohysicsl shutter button before it turns to burst shots) 2. Make continuous video while awitching lenses even to the selfie camera (these videos would be nice for social media) 3. An exempt button/toggle in the batrery saving mode for gps/google maps (so you can have the best batrery life but still use google maps and gps while puttin the aceeen ofr and on, rhe searching of gps everytime you out the screen on again slurps more battery, best way to use gps for a long period of time would he with earplugs. So on sound :( ) For the rest minor rhings but not that important. Its ab amazing phone which i intent to use for at least 1 more year 😎
For the last point you can add those apps to the game enhancer and set the setting to performance. I do the reverse, it's always on 120 and for some apps I put it on 60.

А сейчас хочу купить новый Sony Xperia 5 mark 5, но мы не богатые, и поэтому моя жена против, говорит лучше побереги деньги на ремонт в квартире)) эх, жаль, но я хотел бы перейти на новый Sony Xperia 5 mark 5)) но пока что хожу дальше со своим старым mark 2.

I'm not sure that phone has reach their limit according to moore's law : the GPU in the 8gen3 is 424% more powerful than the GPU in the 865 When 8gen2 was only 315% more powerful. Big leaps are still being made, it's just that it's kinda hard to find a use case where the 865 or even 855 isn't enough. So I agree with you, this phone is still a good buy, the only catch are updates : Imo you would need to flash a rom to have the latest android, but then you lose the camera apps Is there A13 on this ? There might be, but it could also be the last officially supported version, so there's that I love that phone's form factor and hand feel too (had a broken one I tried to repair once)
A phone is deffinitly not broken when you aint got no updates anymore. You should just be way more careful with which apps you downlaod (which you should always in my opinion anyway). Search reviews. Etc etc. Dont just download weird apps. Only the standard main stream apps.
@@namelesssnitchy don't even have to be careful, worst that can happen is the app doesn't open. But if roms exist then use them to update your phone it's not hard... That sony has some I know.

Hey man, I'm sorry for your screen issue, I've read it in reddit that some people have similar problem and the only fix is to replace the screen. The camera of Xperia 5 V is notably better than 5 ii, the most important thing for me is how the basic mode improved in the new version compared to 5 ii, including the new bokeh mode. Maybe I do a review to compare them soon.

@@khaifmd3412i would use 60fps so it will run less warm. This might protect the phone a bit against such problems. I have an 5ii for about 3 years now. Bought it in 2021. I always used 60fps. I really dont care about 120fps. Only when gaming pvp i would use sometimes the 120fps.

Yep. Fair warning, the vibration motor sucks, especially if you're coming from a phone with a pretty good one. There isn't any means to control the vibration intensity either.
Thanks for honest review, well done, I just thinking about buying this phone maybe on ebay or elsewhere, I already have a Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact which I like the most, but memory is small and need more RAM and ROM. You have mentioned some problem with finger touch senzor, which is a problem with used phones. I ask could we just turn on/off phone without that touch control, I also have touch finger senzor button on my XZ1 Compact, but I never used it. Also the phone is bigger - taller than, a lot versus my compact 4,6 inch screen, I believe I could be used to bigger size in these times there is no small compact phones to buy. I am fun of Sony phones and there is 3,5 earphone connector built, thanks for reply

Don't take sony 5 ii , i just had a bad experience, the display got green line , it's not a single line , there were hundreds of line that the phone can't be used any more, it is just with this model, other Sony phone are excellent, other than this , phone is very smooth and I do like the formfactor
Everything was so great until the first green line appeared. More lines started to appear even when the was power off. Now it's unusable. If only it was an IPS display.

Battery dont last

the prblm for on xperia 5 series is the screen..1 or 2 years of usage the green line will appear like mine
I never had that issue
What Region did you buy the Sony? I heard that the U.S has more problems than Chinese and other regions

Hey, yes the phone works without the fingerprint scanner, you need to simply unlock it using a pin code.

@@vatroslavmikula go for Xperia 5 iv if you can afford it due to software support. Xperia 5 III has worse thermal issues compared to Xperia 5 II.

I sold it already, but I saw my freinds having the green line issue.

Xperia is unique and the aspect ratio is different. OnePlus is more mainstream and has longer software support. Both are great brands.
