    Great video. Filled in the gaps for me. Thanks! Self-taught today - worked out Method 1 through trial and error. Wish I had watched this first thing this morning because Method 2 would have saved me a few hours! Still trying to work out why my Action Button for sending email works in Acrobat DC on my laptop but not on when my testers open it on their machines using Acrobat reader or a browser. . .

    Thank you for your excellent tutorial! When talking about radio buttons you forgot a very important segment of the issue - how to clear a radio button already clicked by mistake without clearing all the form. For instance, in a list of careers, you would have many options but of a sudden, you selected Teacher instead of Truck Driver. How do you delete the mark on the Teacher button just by clicking Teacher again?

    • @DAHCKRAM
      @DAHCKRAM  3 года назад

      Radio buttons are NOT checkboxes as only one choice can be made in a series and you are forced to select only ONE item. So you cannot make a mistake as you only have one choice and the dot will move to that. If you need to toggle a list of items then you would use checkboxes and not radio buttons. 😃😜😎

    24:00 In programming, numbering in the code almost always start with zero. In the beginning, it's not that intuitive, but if you want to do more with querying your data, etc., you will find that it's a good habit to get into. Plus other fields such as finance and engineering often use zero to denote an initial state.
    If you're mostly flying solo, or rarely need to consider situations where an item could be zero or negative, then do whatever works best for you.

      Yes that is correct I am also a programmer and an IT guy... Even hard drives in computers Drive 0 is the first one... Sometimes a more logical approach is best... Thanks for the input and here is a joke for you... Counting binary numbers
      is as easy as 01 10 11 😎😃

    How do you clear a radio button? Please make a video showing that please 🙏🏼

    • @DAHCKRAM
      @DAHCKRAM  3 года назад

      There would be no reason to clear a radio button... they are not checkboxes. They are meant to force only one choice. If you need to toggle items on and off then you would use a checkbox... You can easily reset or clear a form though as shown at the end of this video... 30:27 😀😎😜

    How to edit the radio button properties for existing radio buttons

    • @DAHCKRAM

      While editing the form you just right click on the item you want to change and hit properties...

    When I select the group of radio buttons to rename the group, then select properties, the Name is grayed out. I am unable to name them all at once, just individually. Any ideas as to why?

    • @DAHCKRAM
      @DAHCKRAM  4 года назад

      The name field is not use on radio buttons... only the group name is used so you would change the group name only. If you select multiple radio button groups and change the group name to the same thing then it will put all of the selected radio buttons in the same group which would more than likely not be what you want to do. Each group should have a different name and logically should be changed individually... 😃😎

    Duplicate across pages ---> when you have multiple pages of the same multiple choice options needing radio buttons.

    • @frankn254
      @frankn254 2 года назад +1

      I'm sitting here waiting for it to process. There's like 15 rows of questions 0-10, I did the first page and now I'm duplicating across pages and it is taking a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. But I don't want have to rename groups for 12 pages.

      @DAHCKRAM  2 года назад

      @@frankn254 Yeah... like I said in the video that function seems to be completely useless. I really don't see its purpose since you can just copy and paste them just as easy.

    • @achillesTWOk
      @achillesTWOk 3 года назад +3

      Nobody forced you to watch the video. Or maybe they did? Maybe you are being held hostage and they are torturing you by making you watch videos about stuff that you already know how to do? And if you are going to be negative, at least spell your insults properly: "Useless" is the word you were trying to spell. What a Troll.

    • @zapatatata4965
      @zapatatata4965 3 года назад

      @@achillesTWOk I didn't spell anything, it was just your imagination working. Useless because they say nothing about javascripts. Put buttons and name them, everyone can. To explain how they work and how they can work is already a university. You don't have it. Anyone can make a movie in which there is nothing. And I'm no troll, I just want to know more than you do. The knowledge we have under the F1 key.
