To be fair, most romance books are the "same" when you truly think about it 😅 hence why I mainly read them as pallet cleansers or when I don’t want to use any brain power.
mistborn is incredible. there's a lot of mystery and the plot of the first book is so fun!! i'm gonna start the third book soon. the magic system is kind of confusing at first but there's a glossary in the back to help you keep it straight
Yes, it is going into Winter here in Australia but in saying that, you still get warm days where you live so you COULD add a Summer-y book to your TBR and then wait for day where it is 25 degrees (which often happens) and go sit in a sunny area and i bet that you would finish most of the book in that warm day. 😍
Your tbr cart looks sooo good, so many good choices!!! 🤩And I love your prompt 'buy a book that you never heard anyone talk about', gonna add that to my tbr jar just for the excuse to buy a book 😄
I read the final empire and I really loved it. I am trudging along on the second book in the series and it’s been gripping, there are so many mysteries intertwined to captivate you. I love your videos! You are so uplifting, warm, and inspiring💗💗
I am so excited.June is my birthday is my bithday and seeing what you read that month.Gives me motivation . And I have been in and out of a reading slump for months
The princess of souls is the second book in the to kill a kingdom interconnected stand alone series. Also gilded wolves and defy the night are amazing! You would like both of them based on your tastes.
I hope you give Fragile Sanctuary a try. Just read it a few days ago and I thought it was so good. I went into it blind and I definitely think that’s the way to go.
My June TBR is currently: ‘When the Moon Hatched’ by Sarah A. Parker ‘Masters of Death’ by Olivie Blake ‘A Novel Love Story’ by Ashley Posten ‘Business Casual’ by B.K Borison ‘Leather & Lark’ by Brynne Weaver ‘The Mist Thief’ by LJ Andrews
Your TBR sounds so good, I love fantasy books! My tbr is going to be Daisy Haites, Magnolia Parks long way home, The Stolen heir, The familiar, The great gatsby and the Atlas complex. I also need to finish some of the books I started in may which are Tales of the Celestial kingdom and House of sky and breath by S.J.Maas. Have a nice reading month!
This is inspiring me to read Final Empire as well, and have borrowed Only a Monster on Libby to read on my Kobo. So happy I can read library books on my Kobo in Australia.
June TBR✨: Namesake, Lady Midnight, The Prisoner’s Throne, To Kill a Kingdom 📚 CR: Twisted by Emily McIntire and Peter Pan in preparation for Magnolia Parks🫣
I can definitely relate with wanting to read more fantasy than romances. I love both genres but if I read like three romances in a row than I read lots of fantasies.
On my June TBR : three French fiction books (I am from Belgium so I read mostly in French - Celle que je suis by Claire Norton, Nos plus belles années by Clara Hérault and Porcelaine sous les ruines by Ava Vivalda), the second book in the Once upon a broken heart trilogy and Iron flame by Rebecca Yarros ☺️
I’m a primarily horror, mystery and fantasy gal- so fall/winter I tend to read horror and mystery and summer I get in my fantasy mood. I’m thrown off by everyone who doesn’t want to read fantasy in summer. I’m in the US- so we’re at least in the same book moods right now. Can’t wait to see your thoughts!
i just read the mistborn trilogy last month and loved it!!! I hybrid read it with the audiobook and my physical copy and I hightly recommend that. it helped me understand the world so much more!!
I’ve been intimidated by Mistborn as well. But I’m currently reading book 5 in the Red Rising Saga and feel like since I’m able to keep up with the complexity of this book (at least mostly) then Mistborn should be fine. Maybe I’ll pick up The Final Empire in June too…
Hi! I love your tbr jar videos! I read every month too! The last book I completed was titled Forbidden by Kimberley Griffiths Little. It's about a girl betrothed to someone she doesn't love and the setting is in the dessert.
I am so excited to hear your thoughts on the Princess of Souls bc I haven't seen any booktuber or bookstagrammer talking about it and I really liked it 💚👍🏼
I read the Trial of the sun queen when it was indy published so I dont know if it got an edit. but when I read it, it was a mess. the grammar, spelling mistakes. The switch between 1st and 3rd person. And I won't spoil but you can soooo easily guess the ending. I would love to see what you will think but I thought it was 2 star.
June TBR The Twelve by Justin Cronin (need to finish) The Demon Awakens by R.A. Salvatore You like it Darker by Stephen King (need to finish) Check and Mate by Ali Hazelwood (need to finish) The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern Or The Last of the Moon Girls by Barbara Davis Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë (possible reread) The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende Yumi and the Nightmare Painter by Brandon Sanderson Or The Frugal Wizard’s Handbook for Surviving Medieval England by Brandon Sanderson (need to finish) Isola volume 1 by Brenden Fletcher The Starlight Stables Gang by Esme Higgins (need to finish) Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson

Let me know without spoiling how you liked Snowglobe because I really want to read it. Also the final empire series is amazing! I gave the first book five starts. I hope you like it!
My June TBR includes 6 books overall 🥰 1. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. 2. Castle in the Clouds by Kerstin Gier. (I just realised that Weir and Gier are almost the same! 👀😂) 3. With Malice by Eileen Cook. 4. A Man Called Ove by Fredrick Backman. (I hope to read the book first, before the movie adaptation 💕) 5. Once Upon a River by Diane Setterfield. 6. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. (This is one of my boyfriend's favourites, and the premise sounds incredible to me 🤩 definitely have some high expectations for this book!)
@@RachelCatherine Ah, thank you, Rachel 🥹🥰💕 My TBR count is inspired by your recent TBR count 😆 Personally, I'm pretty sure that I can get behind six books in a month, so it's a great amount 😃 I'm a little slow to reading new and hyped up books, so reading older or unheard of books are my forte ☺️ but that doesn't stop me from watching you! Your book tastes are immaculate 🤗🤌🏻✨
Mistborn is great! I need to read the other books but really enjoyed the first one. Some books I’m hoping to read in June include The Tainted Cup, Words of Radiance, Seven Days in June, Piranesi, and Only If You’re Lucky! 😊
It's funny, when you said Katie read Skyward I thought you were talking about me 🤣. I mean I am a booktuber too and I just read that in the past year...so.
About 'This Summer WIll Be Different' -- I LOVED both of Fortune's previous releases but I recognize how some of the content might not have been to everyone's taste and why it was considered problematic or something. This one though, it's fun and realistic but without the problematic things. It's also beautifully written like her previous two. I think there's a chance you'll enjoy it a lot. :)
Omg idk if you already listened to The water is fine by Chloe Ament but the song is inspired by to kill a kingdom. (i recommend you the Crimson version it's sooo good) And she also wrote songs inspired by ACOTAR :)
I would love to do this, but I'm such a mood reader 😅 maybe i could pick 5 and just loosely follow it as my tbr. I have so many books I need to read and these videos give me even more that i want lol, amazing video as always! ❤
Rach, I just finished Second Chance Summer by Morgan Mastpn and it has been one of my all time favorite books I’ve ever read. I hope you can look into it. I could not stop reading it

Omg hi Haley I luv your vids 😊
As a fellow Aussie girlie, I feel like Autumn/Winter makes me want fantasy SO much more than romances
So true!! Makes it so cozy 🩵
Definitely! It was so hot so recently I don’t have the summer vibe envy yet
To be fair, most romance books are the "same" when you truly think about it 😅 hence why I mainly read them as pallet cleansers or when I don’t want to use any brain power.
omg princess of souls sounds SO GOOD 🤭
I miss when you used to put your final TBR back in the cart, something about that scratched an itch. I love these videos 💗

Right?! I’m excited!
mistborn is incredible. there's a lot of mystery and the plot of the first book is so fun!! i'm gonna start the third book soon. the magic system is kind of confusing at first but there's a glossary in the back to help you keep it straight
I’m so nervous but also so excited!! 🥳
I second this! I’m about half way through the third book and it’s so good!
That is very true, maybe that’ll be my plan 🥰

PLEASE READ DEFY THE NIGHT! It is one of my favourite books of all time, and is the first of a recently completed series :)

Elantris is great. The Reckoners trilogy was my first Sanderson (starts with Steelheart) and I loved his take on villains and superheroes!
Being in New Zealand with winter. Watching all the other booktube being in summer sucks
