I wanted to like them so bad but I really just couldn’t find myself paying extra just to get something that I had already payed for to get to me. I was not lucky in the USA and I just didn’t get any of my kickstarter things and that’s just not how you do business in my opinion. Im glad to hear that you were able to get your box and show the product!
To play AQ I'd recommend using BGG AQ forums BLG official Dr Bandage visual guide (its pinned), the core Priest (Sedrin?) + 1 ally vs the recommended starting Quest + Villain + threat.
I was fortunate enough to receive my copy along with Altar Quest (which I love by the way and still awaiting your review...*ahem*. I also have a further copy backed, hopefully arriving at some point in the future with FS2 and Lasting Tales (which I supported the creation of). Some real nice miniatures, will be using with community supported content for Altar Quest.
In Australia we were lucky to have them shipped a couple of years ago. I must say that issues aside, these minis have been great. There are the classic creatures that I use multiple times a week for Gloomhaven and D&D. So hope that series 2 eventually arrives for an extended range. This campaign is certainly the classic example of a great product mismanaged.
Alex has been dangling that altarquest carrot for what feels like years! 😂 i thought altarquest was just ok. The game itself is like their others but just more decks of cards to try and remember to upkeep. Brook city I still like more but enjoyed their encounters for AQ because it felt more Street mastery.
Wow, congratulations on taking the task of making a video regarding a hated kickstarter. Shows bravery. I understand you want to give the other side of the argument regarding companies like CMON and BLC but there are more issues about BLC here. Everybody has left the company. All the creative talent. The Sadler bros, James Hewitt, Sophie Williams, Scott McFay and Justin Lucas. The only person working there is Alex Lim. Despite claiming others are there, the only person responding on any platform for the last 6 months at this date is Alex. The issue is he came in under an alias and none of the above designers warned, made public or mentioned him being there to run this and other campaigns. The issue with Alex is he is a proven liar and fraudster. He may just be incompetent but he has denied many facts just in this campaign. Also he has other campaigns where the money disappeared and nobody got anything such as fairytale from 2016, Attack wagon games, artistic justice games, Dragon Tides and Boruto, on top of the FS1 and 2 minitures campaigns. This campaign was only saved by QML who are logistics and had the minitures there. Other issues such as cancelling the pledges of those who asked for refunds and use of fake account names to promote and praise his performance are very concerning. These minitures are fine but all a product of the time before Alex came to the company. A warning off of any work from Alex Lim or Black List Games while it is the property of him should be given.
This video lacked your usual appreciation for what you were showing. It felt like you were going through the motions. In this instance, you may have been better served to just talk about the BLG and then point to a friend's coverage of the minis. The minis are top notch for the dollar. The company is very problematic. It makes a difficult situation, but nobody should make the mistake of thinking these minis are not worth the cost.
"They are to some extent making good on some of the things". There's a ringing endorsement if I ever heard on :)

Strange, you skipped over the female stone giant despite her being right there next to the dragon.

I'm still waiting for my pledge of series 1&2. I'm remaining hopeful. How much are you selling it for? If you still have it.
Same 😢
