For a scaled-down replica of a famous toy, it seems inappropriate for Hasbro to go so cheap. Those knees needed pins! Also, surely there should have been a better way to hide the hands in jet mode. I want to like this toy, especially since this is the closest we might get to a core class G1 Galvatron.
I like how this functionally copies all of the original bot gimmick, but the G2like electonic-pack tank. Would have gone slightly further and made the sword a separate piece with a 3mm peg (and do the only thing the cartoon did that the toy dint, actually handling the sword like a sword). the wings should have been slightly longer, or just a bit less angled the leg being a bunch of transformation hinges made functional is a staple of the franchise, but I always find funny in re-made figures and the CQ is really going madening at this point, especially in america it seems, after the whole problem with nacelle being factory-side as the most noticeable, but really, what is going on with hasbro controls?
I hope this gets enough traction to get us a leader class of this character Because they use a friction hinge for the knees, a horrible decision, if you dont have the arms plugged in fully they will inevitably pop off trying to force them over the arms which was sticking out too far. Id say that arm had bad qc on the ball joint...which sucks but happens. And idk possibly bad qc for the arm plugs? Or you just didnt get them sat in right. Fixable issues but man energon just doesnt get any love lmao.
Personally I’m not a fan of Core class figures that are for characters who should be larger. I’m quite happy with Tasmania Kid who is just the right size next to Leo Prime but I’ll be happily skipping out on this guy. If they make a larger Energon Megatron/Galvatron somewhere along the way I’ll be ecstatic to pick one up.
Mine is one the way right now.... Hooo boy! I can't wait to get this piece of crap. What's worse is I have no doubt we'll be getting a core class Galvatron from this mold that will equally suck.

I’m ok with you not liking this guy because it’s your copy of the figure I’m hoping that I don’t get the same issues because I’m excited for this guy for so long when they reveal it
I have a bad feeling this guy's flaws will make hasbro think it's not good to make more energon toys. Cause the toys were far and away better than that show, and it ain't fair to em to get thrown out cause of a bad show.
Was anticipating the pop off syndrome by downscaling a leader class into core. The original transformation design doesn't give much clearance to rework it into the miniature figure. All in all a great mold of Energon Megatron and hopefully popular in sales to give us a proper Energon leader class with full articulation.
3:06 You can peg the blasters on the shoulders via the side pegs so they face forward.

Why settle for leader? If it was Commander Class, it should be great.

He's angry because he's the same size as Micromasters now. AND Megs has that War for Cybertron Micromaster leg-popping action. Sheeesh!
Dude, I have some Micromasters from the Siege & Earthrise lines and all of them are more durable than this core class figure.

9:54 the Klingon Bird of Prey from TNG is an amazing design for sure. Way cooler than the D7 or K’tinga class.

I trust that Hasbro plans to make this character in a voyager or leader class in the future.

I just got him...to my suprise his joints seem pretty tight and I haven't had issues with him....might of just been a bad figure?

I think everyone was in agreement that Energon was a bad show but liked this design... it's really a shame the core figure sucks

I kind of don't understand Megatron's size change from Energon. If the Energon Optimus Prime figure will be the same size or will it be a Voyager.
Energon is not very well liked so they're testing the waters with this one.
