    Nice. I have a low mileage 5.0. 15k miles. I did order the full 5" exhaust delete with a proven ezlynk. I do have a S&B cold air intake. Plan on deleting and adding intercooler pipes. Already have all the parts. Question us. Do you think 15k is too low to do this? It's a farm truck that's why the miles are low

      5.0 - Low mileage shouldn’t be an issue to add mods. You should be good!

    I bought a 2017 XD Texas edition a couple months ago with 32K miles on it. Has a mild lift with 33X12.50 on a 20 in wheel. Beautiful truck and so far I love it. BUT, I see alot of reviews though that give me the feeling its a time bomb waiting to go off. In particular with the crank, turbo and CP4.2 pump. Is there a mod available for the cp4 that will add some kind of filter between the CP4 and the fuel rail to eliminate any shavings entering the fuel system if the pump should fail? I intend on keeping the motor stock but am having some serious regrets about buying this truck after learning some of this stuff like Nissan discontinuing servicing these engines and internal engine parts availability. Also are there after market turbos that will work should the factory turbo fail? Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !!

      Checkout this article, there are some bypass kits out there - just not sure if there is one specifically for the XD. www.motorbiscuit.com/bypass-fix-for-massive-diesel-engine-cp4-fuel-pump-failures/

    • @ElaBellll
      @ElaBellll 11 месяцев назад +1

      There is already a 2 stage filter system sufficient to keep all the grime out of the pump. The cp4.2 pump from my understanding mainly suffers from low sulfur diesel. Personally I run the cummins approved fuel additive to ensure its getting lubrication.

    ok- I just purchased a titan with the 5.0 in it... it has 130k miles on it. it already has the DEF deleted, and I am currently working with a local diesel shop to get the egr cooler out and delete it as well..... I am in the North Ga mountains, where there is no emission requirements. I would LOVE to have you send me a list of specific items you spoke about so see if I can get these local guys to install them for me. not sure how to reach out to you other than this forum... please advise.

    Mine had 147k and has had no real issues. I bought it deleted, but no ezlink came with it. I imagine thats what it was deleted with. The EGR is still installed, but straight pipe all the way back from there. Recently if i really get into it, itll max out the boost at well over 30 PSI but once its right around 3300-3500rpm is just loses all boost, down shifts slowly and i have to wait maybe 3 seconds to get throttle back. I read it might be the turbo actuator, but it could be the throttle body or something too. Has anyone ever had this happen?

    • @jusmaxjust
      @jusmaxjust 11 месяцев назад

      Just love XDs and we have no real community like Chevy, dodge, or Ford guys, plus CFT makes shit parts I've heard so we really don't get a choice. If I had the time I'd R&D everything myself with turbo swaps and modifying the coding for everything.

    • @8020Media
      @8020Media  11 месяцев назад +1

      Max - There are plenty of reliable XD's out there, especially when modified properly. The problem your may be experiencing sounds like a boost leak of some sort. Here are some things to look into: wastegate, boost control solenoid/valve, intercooler/charge pipes, and throttle body.

    • @jusmaxjust
      @jusmaxjust 11 месяцев назад +1

      @8020Media okay I will look into that, it drops all boost at the top end like it could be the waste gate opening because it can't hold the boost, but when you mentioned the 4 stages of the turbo whichever one is for WOT is more than likely my issue, it let's too much boost escape instead of blocking it off properly.
