Beautiful day at the market. So happy that your family had a great day at the market. Collard greens look amazing, I love collards. Everything looks beautiful, I wish I lived closer so I could come to the market.
Beautiful purple Cauliflower, we grew 8 plants this year and got a nice harvest from each one. The Yellow cauliflower wasn't as nice looking but still was very tasty. This was our best year for brassicas in Pennsylvania's spring.
@@BroyansFarm You're welcome. I've been watching your videos for many months and I always will. When you say at the end of your videos, "It may not be much. It's honest work." I say, "It is much and it's harder work." The reason why is because other farmers use vehicles and machinery for everything. All of you at Broyans Farm mostly do everything by hand. The only thing I can think of when you all don't is when you all do planting with one of you driving the tractor with two of you sitting in that trailer with the metal wheel piercing holes in the plastic and placing water in the hole while the two of you at the back take it in turns placing a small plant. The rest from what I remember is all back-breaking hard work done by hand. This is why I say it is much. This counts a lot greater for you all compared to the other farmers. Even though their work is hard, it's easier for them compared to how you lot at your farm do your work.
Always good to come back with a lot less than you started with. I'm not sure if you are aware or not but you can get a chest strap for your go pro and not have to hold it while you work. Maybe something to look into. Thanks for the video.
Welcome back Sir .. farmer market looks super awesome, and I really love the farmers market, congratulations your channel is growing up, keep it up Sir .. loved the beautiful bonded you guys have .. and may God bless you all over there as always .. TQSM Sir for sharing another spectacular beautiful shooting filming footage .. take care stay safe my friend .. Merci beaucoup
Another GREAT video my friend - my question may be stupid but how come you guys are not useing the steel multi shelf wheelers to put the boxes on, seems like you are just using the pallets. Great Cauliflower guys and those beets and string beans. I always enjoy it when you drive around and show the Farm - grass and all.
Never a stupid question! But we are using pallets because the carts are more work at the moment. Using them we have to strap them in as much as pushing them onto the truck, we will use them once we have more produce but for right now the pallets work a lot easier for us. Thank you for watching 😃
Where do you get your berry boxes from? Who is the supplier? I can't find a wholesaler to save my life and I can't keep paying for a 10 pack on Amazon.
Hey Logan everything is looking great! The market looks abundant. For the mites we use neem oil and water solution and spray the plants, works real fast and will not harm the tomato plants.
@@BroyansFarm I'm in NYC, at farmers markets, its 3 or 4 heads for $5, fresh picked. Most of the pricing I see is actually higher than what is being charged at farmers markets in NY.
Looks like a hectic day at market but as a vendor that’s a good thing. Everything looked so nice. The high tunnels are definitely the way to go with tomatoes. Do you ever see you using them for any other vegetables in the future? Can’t wait till the next video. As always my regards to everyone there and God bless you all.
Should be harvesting tomatoes from greenhouse in January and February, not the end of July. Should be picking field grown tomatoes now. Greenhouse tomatoes command best prices in winter. The Veggie Boys don't pick tomatoes in their greenhouses, they start plants in them. With what it costs to purchase and maintain a greenhouse, I'd certainly want to get the best profit margins on whatever is grown in it, at the correct time of year.
We have discussed multiple plants we could try growing in our high tunnels but tomatoes work the best as of right now. Maybe in the future if we put up more than We will put other stuff in them. God bless John & Thank you for watching 😃
