these two women described long covid very well. i hope that the people who posted nasty and ignorant comments develop a more empathetic view of the large amount of people suffering from this awful disease. we don’t need your negativity on top of feeling physically awful.

This virus destroyed my body too. Went from being a normal happy chubby and strong guy, to a skinny anhedonic lethargic shadow of my former self. I have so much anger for our government who played this off as if it was not a risk. In many ways, the man I was before died, I am picking up the pieces and doing my best to continue moving forward, but like the one girl in the video said, “I just feel like I got a bad hand”. Exactly.

Stop telling people it's not real and stop shaming them. Having this is devastating!!

i hope you have good support from friends and family. i know how hard it is to be with someone who doesn’t understand illness and shames you, etc. being sick is not your fault, nor is it your wish. i wish you the best in getting well again and in deciding what to do with your relationship.

As someone that has long covid, Time does not heal. Doctors need to focus on this more. This is not in our heads and many feel helpless due to the mounting medical costs for the tests to find out why. I'm constantly fighting with my doctors to do more. I was "vaccinated" but it was not until a year later I caught covid and spent a month to get to a point that i can somewhat work full time. This is well past the effective time frame of the vaccine. For all that say long covid is not real, Walk a day in my shoes and then you will see that it is real.

I don't even bother with doctors anymore. I have been learning about brain training from people who've had chronic fatigue and long covid. There's a lot of people who have claimed to overcome it this way and with other methods. I'm looking into it but unfortunately I still have my doubts.

Three and a half years now, bad as ever. GP and Long Covid Clinic both say they cannot help and the other should help. Haven't seen anyone from the Long Covid Clinic in person ever and routinely have to tell them that I am still waiting for help when they automatically move my Long Covid into the 'Past' column again. There is no help at all.

There is around 5-10% chance of getting long COVID with every infection. So 10 - 20 infections everyone will have it. Most people are up to about 4-5 minimum in 4 years. So if we are generous and say it will take 8 - 16 years for 100% of people suffering from it in some form.

Why haven't they mentioned whether or not these athletes have had the jab?
Journalists please give us the full picture.
    EDiT
I just rewatched it - they caught Covid
    1st lady - July 12th 2021
2nd lady - March 2020. Felt ok April 2021. Started training Sept 2022 back on GB programme and then rapidly downhill from there.
In June 2021 all adults 18 and over could get the jabs in the UK.
So again I ask - did they get the jabs?
