Taylor wrote Bad Blood about Katy Perry back in 2014, they had a feud for years, Katy wrote Swish Swish back for her! They signed peace in the video. you guys should know that.
The picture on her wall says “I am a rich man,” it’s a quote from Cher. Cher once said her mom told her she hoped she’d one day marry a rich man, to which Cher replied, “Mom, I AM a rich man.” ♥️
Enjoyed it! Okay, this wasn't another Taylor Swift music video ending with a breakup. 😅😂 This video had a heavy subject and a lot of cameo appearances. The LGBTQ+ community embraced her for creating this song and video, and she embraced them too. She even took some of this video's stars to a major music awards show and had them accept an award with her for this video. She's a class act. (For the future: "Me!" is a happy music video (also from the "Lover" album) to which I'd like to see you guys react.)
Yep, you guys were very head on. Also, just a bit more insight… “You Need To Calm Down” was written and produced by Taylor Swift and Joel Little. This track was quoted to be a song for “discussing the ridiculousness of homophobia as well as Swift addressing her critics…the track integrates LGBTQ+ slang and known charities.” That is why she sang the line “Why are you mad when you could be GLAAD?”, as that is a reference to the notable American organization for the "Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation." In the same month of this release in June of 2019, Taylor Swift even gave GLAAD a huge donation. It was recorded that she did this “in order to create campaigns that fight against the discrimination and hate LGBTQ+ people face daily.” In addition to this, idk if you guys know but around this same time was the actual political petition called the “Equality Act” that was starting to gain attention. Taylor was very vocal about this act and joined in the petition. I remember this being one of Taylor’s most political eras because she genuinely believed and always has when it comes to more legal equality and protection for minority groups esp the LGBTQ+ community which is what the Equality Act was petitioning for to be passed by legislation. Moreover, for Swift she spoke on how this song relates to her and mainly how she understands the general societal hate ppl love to spew out on one another. Swift explained that the song is about how she literally quoted “ I observed a lot of different people in our society who just put so much energy and effort into negativity, and it just made me feel like, “You need to just calm down, like you’re stressing yourself out. This seems like it’s more about you than what you’re going off about. Like, just calm down.” Also, Taylor Swift on the other hand has been accused of queerbaiting with the song’s release because she was not “ truly demonstrating how to be a good ally to the LGBTQ+ community.” Justin Kirkland who works for men’s magazine reported that the “track misses the point of being an LGBTQ ally by equating online haters with the personal and societal struggle of LGBTQ+ people”. Moreover, this video features many celebrities who also identify as LGBTQ+ ppl. Some of the celebrities featured are: Laverne Cox, Todrick Hall, Hayley Kiyoko, Katy Perry, RuPaul, Ellen DeGeneres, Adam Lambert and the list goes on. The song, lyricism, and MEANING behind it all work well and made for a really great song. More people should be accepting rather than being so focused on hating the next person. Literally, ppl need to calm down.
Here watching again 😁 Love this one. The way she says "damn, it's seven a.m' 😅 her acting skills, OMG!! Recently saw she performing this song live, wow almost even better..
As you transform into swifties can I suggest you do a little background on her? Her writing and videos are epic for those who don't know, but once you know it takes things to an entitlerly different level. All of her guest cameos are always with a purpose, she is the absolute QUEEN of Easter eggs (an example.. the picture on the wall in the beginning - I am a rich man - referencing a Cher interview. I highly suggest you spending an hour or 2 looking into her fueds and exs and secret meanings and I think you will appreciate her on such a higher level! ❤

😮You DID NOT RECOGNIZE MISS KATY PERRY as the burger ?? They had a falling out...BAD BLOOD song was written for Katy Perry. Taylor and Katy had a FIGHT/falling out like 9 years ago. Then in the Lover era 2018/2019...they made PEACE. They are Friends again
These straight dudes said "dope" bruh" "man" "dude" "cool" and "different kind of people" but could not for life of them say gay or LGBTQ or queer lmaooo. For fear of causing "controversy"
This was sad to watch. They didn't get any of the references, none of the messages. Like why review songs, especially Taylor's. Go do Drake stuff. He's a glass pane, get it,transparent and up your guys' alley...
As a gay man and a Taylor fan (I’m going to the tour!), this song is super cringe and one of her worst pop singles. It was a swing and a miss - such clunky lyrics. The video is very cute though.
Taylor as an artist is great but Taylor as a person is just absolutely incredible!
Well, As an artist she is great. As a person she is incredible. As a woman she is PERFECT.

May also be a nod to the whole trans thing
Taylor is simply on another level ❤
I love the line "Shade never made anyone less gay!"
It's so true.
Enjoyed it!

Well, most of the community embraced her. I remember a small but very loud subsection being angry and saying that she needed to stay in her lane.
I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY DIDN'T TALK ABOUT THE LAST SCENE WITH KATY, LIKE???????????????? 😭Are they even recognize her? I don't think so..💀💀💀
Yeah right? They recognized some names but not katy..
Or maybe they just don't know about Taylor and Katy's history 🤷♀️.
Tbf when I first saw this, I had no idea that was Katy and its not like I don't k ow her, I think it was the hair lol
Yeah not everyone knows Katy, it’s really not that big of a deal.
@@stephaniehundley6792 She's famous worldwide, so I felt a little surprised, apart from the fact that they reacted to her a few times.
Loved this reaction, something about two masculine straight men appreciate such a gay anthem and preaching tolerance! Thanks guys!

I love that you said that her writing comes to life that so deep
more more more taylor!!!
You are one of the first to even mention "Hey. Thats Ryan!".
Every single person in this video is a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. They have representation from gay men, lesbains and trans people
Okay nobody cares about those details, totally unnecessary to comment this.
@Bodi Games its actually totally relevant and an interesting fact.
@@bodigames Nobody cares except you right? I mean, if I don't care about certain detail or something, I'm not gonna even comment about it, you know? And why you even worried about those details, pls shut up and stop being a idiot on internet.
The concept of the video is literally about LGBTQIA+ community, so those details are VERY important.
@@Lumoon0 that’s the video.
So it’s unnecessary to mention it again in the comments.
Another banger from you guys.
I love Taylor sunday!
Thanks guys
I have a gay son and I was hoping this would turn him in to a Swiftie. It didn’t. 😂 I have turned my husband though!
I love this 😂😂😂
Me gusta mucho el chico de azul 💓 estoy enamorado de sus reacciones

I need the opinion of a fellow Swiftie! I have always interpreted the burger and fry costumes are like “squashing the beef”. Is that clowning? 😂
@@kerrichristian7991 that’s a good interpretation! I like that it’s a Burger and French Fries (BFF).
These dudes had no idea who anyone was!! Hahahahahaha
HOLA JHONNY. SOY TU FAN.❤
Blake Lively directs some of her videos that is why Ryan was in it
More Taylor plss 🇧🇷
Hambergers and French Fries go together. Katy and Taylor are friends again I think.
Can you guys do the “Dancing with our hands tied” or the “Long Live /New Years Day” from the Reputation tour ?
❤❤❤❤

The burger was Katy Perry 😊
Wwttfff how did they not recognize katy?!?!?!
Loved the reaction and your msg at the end ❤️
She sounds like Selena in this song.
Did u not see Katy?????
Please do 5sos video just try their music

When the whole point of the music is to tell people who are homophobic to fuck off lol
straight men are so funny sometimes
Know what I'm saying haha
This is classic shade... Through music, no names mentioned.. but the first person on her mind when she wrote this is Donald Trump. Hands down. Lol
THE NIGHT IS STILL YOUNG REACTION PLEASE FROM NICKI 🥺💘
How it is that you have nearly 50,000 views, but only about 70 comments on the video? That seems a bit fishy.
You realize the hamburger suite was Katy Perry right??? LOL they made up...
