That is no longer a MANHUNT. Those who believe that it still is a manhunt are getting the wool pulled over their eyes.

I don’t think he acted alone imo. Sadly, he likely had someone at a pickup point and was gone from the area before a search could even commence. If he did act alone, he likely had another vehicle stashed. Again just my opinion. What a shame he felt the need to commit such an evil act. Prayers to all he hurt and affected. As someone who lives in Daniel Boone I’m both not surprised and also very angry. I’m glad the communities will have the resources they need, of course, but it does leave us to fend for ourselves, as usual.

Phipps was shot and later died at a hospital, Polston said. The sheriff said the suspect also died from gunshot wounds."
Reality is its almost impossible to find one guy in a rough wilderness area if he has any skill at all. The next thing is to step back and let him resurface somewhere.
In other words....we aren't smart enough or trained well enough to catch a single man. Couch has outsmarted them all....and people think law enforcement is so great. I wonder just how much this has cost the Kentucky taxpayer?

Yes!! That's when I found Jonathan's channel. He gave us up to the minute coverage that the local media was so slow to report! But Jonathan was there, in the rain, in the dark, constantly where the search was. He even sat up at night on the porch of a young man who was guarding his house. JLR, I have a couple concerns about this case…1) he said he was setting out to kill people which thankfully he did not accomplish. But does that mean if he is still alive he will try again until he succeeds? Scary thought…..2) he threatened a neighbor and his dog with an AR15 a few months back yet they said he bought another AR15 and I think 2000 rounds of ammunition on the morning of the shooting. He left one AR15 and 1000 rounds of ammo by his car. That means he might still have the second AR15 and 1000 rounds of ammo with him…..3) I was very concerned for you last night during your live stream. You were walking around looking at your phone not checking behind you and then when you finally got in your car you dilly dallied wrapping up the live stream instead of immediately leaving! He could have been in your back seat! Please be careful, we need, appreciate and care about you! Please keep doing what you do while staying safe, you’re the best! ❤

Also police to scared to act right from the start. It was evening when it happened so they didn't want to work in the dark. He had a big head start because of officer safety being put before community safety
That cost the tax payers a pretty penny. It was all for nothing. The back patting is a little overboard. I believe in competent law enforcement. I did not see that in this situation.

I was thinking to put cams in woods yesterday when watching! I think hes still in the forest, his car was found- with camping gear. He could only walk or of gotten a ride. Noone knows how long he prepared. If he is out & seen the news that he has been named i hope the family is in hiding till he is caught. I think the call made today was the right call. You know whats sad is they have not even thought of the fact that what if hes dead what if his car is a decoy. No one leaves a weapon behind that they just used to shoot people run into the woods. Its more than that. That was to easy what if it was someone else amd hes dead amd they used his equipment. No one actually seen him shoot and i think they meed not to be so tinnel vission just trying to find him. I respectfully disagree that the manhunt is over. They are continuing to look for him. They are just moving teams out of the wooded areas of the Daniel Boone National Forest. As a resident in the area, I personally have seen a huge saturation of KSP and local law enforcement. As far as helicopters. I know for a fact that for the last three nights in a row they have circled all of the wooded areas around our home in Gray, Kentucky. I feel that teams that have been working have utilized all of the sources they have available to them and with over 300 officers working I feel they have done a very good job. I don't, however, believe they should have waited until day 11 to move out of the Daniel Boone National Forest. However, I am not law enforcement trained so I don't know how that decision came about. I feel that they must have sufficient information for having stayed as long as they did, however, I know they have been working in other areas besides the forest.
I have wondered if he could have hitched a ride with someone before the news was out to the public. Some people don’t even watch the news and may have just been passing through. Couch could be anywhere by now.

Yeah I agree. Very misleading and that can be dangerous for all of us in the surrounding area! I really thought they found him and almost just brushed off the whole situation, but I’m glad I stuck around to find out that’s simply not the case.
I live locally well a county down from Whitley county and I think he’s still out there just because nobody died the day of the shooting which is wonderful news but it don’t mean he want try to do the same thing again or worse I’m constantly looking on the banks and cliffs now, until he’s found I can’t help but think he’s done it once and escapes will he go for round 2 it’s scary especially for our kids.

Basically they failed and now all they can do is wait and see if he raises his head and attempts it again, and may succeed. They need to stop patting themselves on the back. You are your own best defense, never rely on police to protect you or your family and use your right to be armed and dangerous to those who wish you harm.

Really it’s not wrong. They explained that they have discontinued boots on the ground and actively having men searching the forest. To comfort you, they told you that their men will be standing guard in and around the community, waiting for the suspect to come to them. Technically, They are no longer “hunting” for the suspect manually by searching the forest, only monitoring cameras and patrolling the vicinity. There’s a big difference.

Lots of criticism from armchair experts. It took five weeks to locate Brian Laundrie in Myakkahatchee Creek Park and Reserve in Florida, and that terrain was not nearly as challenging as that in the Laurel County, Kentucky region.
I agree. So easy to criticize when there has been no signs at all. The manpower has been exhausted. One man in an extremely rough terrain. Maybe they should go boots on the ground now that this has happened!
Actually although not as rough terrain as the Kentucky area. During the Brian Laundrie case that whole place where he was found was under 5 feet of water. So that alone would make it tougher to search

There are no drastic environmental changes that are going to take place in the hills of Kentucky that will provide flat, easy terrain to search. Therefore it will remain more of a challenge to search than any flat land ever will be.

They really aren’t actively searching. No more boots on the ground, in search of the suspect. They have officially transitioned to standing guard. That’s not a manhunt. The only reason the governor is able to get away with referring to this as a “manhunt” is because they set up a couple of cameras in the forest that they are supposed to be monitoring. As long as I have been on this earth, an active manhunt has always been defined as men on the ground, performing strategic search patterns, traveling and actually hunting/searching for the suspect until found. This is no longer happening.
I would suggest also to change your Title as it is indeed "Clickbait" You can't have a title that reads MANHUNT OVER!!! Then after the conference contradict yourself in saying of course the Manhunt is still ongoing....
It doesn’t matter what JLR said, did you not hear the sheriff say that they have discontinued actively searching the forest for the suspect, and have transitioned to standing guard?. They are just guarding the community and watching cameras. How is that a manhunt?

I was thinking to put cams in woods yesterday when watching! I think hes still in the forest, his car was found- with camping gear. He could only walk or of gotten a ride. Noone knows how long he prepared. If he is out & seen the news that he has been named i hope the family is in hiding till he is caught. I think the call made today was the right call. You know whats sad is they have not even thought of the fact that what if hes dead what if his car is a decoy. No one leaves a weapon behind that they just used to shoot people run into the woods. Its more than that. That was to easy what if it was someone else amd hes dead amd they used his equipment. No one actually seen him shoot and i think they meed not to be so tinnel vission just trying to find him. Its just odd he leaves his weapon and car at the scene and goes into the woods purposely showing who he is. It dont make sense. I truly believe theres more to this story.

I respectfully disagree that the manhunt is over. They are continuing to look for him. They are just moving teams out of the wooded areas of the Daniel Boone National Forest. As a resident in the area, I personally have seen a huge saturation of KSP and local law enforcement. As far as helicopters. I know for a fact that for the last three nights in a row they have circled all of the wooded areas around our home in Gray, Kentucky. I feel that teams that have been working have utilized all of the sources they have available to them and with over 300 officers working I feel they have done a very good job. I don't, however, believe they should have waited until day 11 to move out of the Daniel Boone National Forest. However, I am not law enforcement trained so I don't know how that decision came about. I feel that they must have sufficient information for having stayed as long as they did, however, I know they have been working in other areas besides the forest.

I live locally well a county down from Whitley county and I think he’s still out there just because nobody died the day of the shooting which is wonderful news but it don’t mean he want try to do the same thing again or worse I’m constantly looking on the banks and cliffs now, until he’s found I can’t help but think he’s done it once and escapes will he go for round 2 it’s scary especially for our kids.

Really it’s not wrong. They explained that they have discontinued boots on the ground and actively having men searching the forest. To comfort you, they told you that their men will be standing guard in and around the community, waiting for the suspect to come to them. Technically, They are no longer “hunting” for the suspect manually by searching the forest, only monitoring cameras and patrolling the vicinity. There’s a big difference.

Lots of criticism from armchair experts. It took five weeks to locate Brian Laundrie in Myakkahatchee Creek Park and Reserve in Florida, and that terrain was not nearly as challenging as that in the Laurel County, Kentucky region.
I agree. So easy to criticize when there has been no signs at all. The manpower has been exhausted. One man in an extremely rough terrain. Maybe they should go boots on the ground now that this has happened!

Actually although not as rough terrain as the Kentucky area. During the Brian Laundrie case that whole place where he was found was under 5 feet of water. So that alone would make it tougher to search

There are no drastic environmental changes that are going to take place in the hills of Kentucky that will provide flat, easy terrain to search. Therefore it will remain more of a challenge to search than any flat land ever will be.

They really aren’t actively searching. No more boots on the ground, in search of the suspect. They have officially transitioned to standing guard. That’s not a manhunt. The only reason the governor is able to get away with referring to this as a “manhunt” is because they set up a couple of cameras in the forest that they are supposed to be monitoring. As long as I have been on this earth, an active manhunt has always been defined as men on the ground, performing strategic search patterns, traveling and actually hunting/searching for the suspect until found. This is no longer happening.
It took over an hour of this video to tell the people that they still don't know anything?
I would suggest also to change your Title as it is indeed "Clickbait" You can't have a title that reads MANHUNT OVER!!! Then after the conference contradict yourself in saying of course the Manhunt is still ongoing....
