- How to stay safe surfing Tofinho Point Break. Tofo is paradise, with waters that mimic Hawaii and some great surf spots. Mozambique, a country bordering the ocean in East Africa has its fair share of point breaks. Some breaks are more challenging than others so please proceed with caution especially if exploring a new spot.
This is a surf guide to great surf spot in Tofo, Mozambique called Tofinho. Tofo is a small town on the east coast of Africa.
Some Hazards of Tofinho Point:
Shallow reef, rocks, Zambezi "bull" sharks (though attacks have not been reported) and currents

haha there are are some similarities ! thank you for commenting! cut it on the reef waiting to jump out into the line up, but in surfing there's a saying "you have to pay your taxes" :) Its very tricky to hold it by hand, sometimes you have a mouth mount and once you get up on your feet you grab it with one of your hands.. Everyone is so happy there, felt very safe

Where was the good beaches to surf in mozam
Where in Mozambique are you going? Maputo has some spots, but I spent most of my time in Tofo. Harder to get too, but has some really great breaks. Tofinho point break is so much fun, but you should at least be an intermediate at surfing. Tofo beach has fun beach break where you could end up finding a peak just to yourself. Let me know when you go and I'll help you on your travels!
