The history is beautifully told in this review; I would love to sit through an entire history lecture regarding fashion houses because of your detailed, well-spoken, and captivating style of sharing the story. Personally, I’ve always been aware of Bvlgari brand, however I’ve recently fallen in love with their unusual combination of materials and overall aesthetic beauty. I really love the history you put into your bag review videos. You have much more substance than most lux RUclipsrs. The WWII part is so interesting! You also really open my eyes to other lux brand handbags. I applaud you for having such a diverse collection, since I'm totally 'another girl wearing Chanel.' lol I'm also more a silver gal but this muted gold is very pretty I must say. However I don't prefer snake design on my bags. It's only $2300 here in US. Take care and enjoy your new baby. You did influence me to get a tweed bag however, will try to show on my Insta soon. I have this exact bag which I purchased a year ago. I went through the same process as you actually wanting the medium and ultimately changed my mind for the same reason, I felt the colour was too much in the larger size. The first medium I almost bought until I noticed it had a scratch on the front so they ordered in another one from another store interstate but by the time it arrived I has decided it I wanted the clutch. The scratch on the larger bag had scared me a little but so far my bag has been great I bought it when I was on the Gold Coast and I have to say the service was above and beyond anything I had experienced before. They had beautiful gelato and chocolates and kept my husband and children occupied with those while I completed the sale.. My SA also recommended I use the coach leather moisturiser on the bag every few months which I have done . I was a little disappointed with the size initially because I had forgotten about my key when I tried it on in store and thought it fitted my essentials until I returned to Melbourne and realised I didn't have my key pouch with me . However, after much use the leather as slightly softened and I now find I can pack it well now and I do fill it up quite a bit but its worn really well. TO give me a little more room I do remove the mirror, and now it's a little softer it's easier to access things inside the bag . I do baby my bags a little though and always store carefully. Regarding styling I love this bag so much that I have styled it with more casual outfits ( jeans and jackets) to dress them up a bit and I think it looks great. SO after quite a bit of use a year later I still really love it and I think the Bulgari service and attention detail is amazing . This bag is certainly a work of art and as you mentioned has amazing attention to detail. I have no regrets and the bronze colour is amazing, it changes slightly depending what you are wearing it with. Hope this helps you
Clare i want to thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us, it is extremely helpful coming from a seasoned user of the same bag!! Good to know that Coach leather moisturiser is safe to use and that the leather softens over time. I do understand the key dilemma as it's such a tight fit that every little piece matters - but yes you're right that removing the mirror always helps! So glad you experienced the same superb customer service and that you're wearing the clutch with more casual outfits - it definitely does work so styling opportunities aren't so narrow. I love how similar our thought processes are with the change of mind re size and the dynamic bronze colour :) Feels like we're kindred spirits!

Oh wow. I didn't know about the Bulgari family hiding Jewish people during WW2! That's amazing! Now I love the house even more. I might consider purchasing a Bulgari handbag. Their jewelry is wonderful. I have two pieces from them and I definitely want more serpenti!

I have to agree about Bvlgari’s attention to details. They truly have piece of art handbags when it comes to the details, the same applies to the interior of their bags. The smooth leather is indeed delicate but considering the quality of Chanel’s leather now, you can clearly see a difference between the 2 brands. Enjoy your bag!

This is a good comprehensive video. I don't agree that a metallic wallet on chain bag is for special events only. I think you can wear with simple neutral clothes (ie: jeans & shirt) and make the outfit stand out more with your metallic bag. I would personally try for black sweater/shirt & black skinny jeans & black leather boots & the metallic bag for an everyday look. I also took a screenshot of Alexander's card if I can ever in Moscow for luxury shopping.

In many ways you are right - metallic almost acts like a (flashy) neutral so can work even with the simplest of outfits eg. even the casual clothes i'm wearing in this video! However personally i feel like the WOW factor of the bag only really comes through when it's dressed up - maybe like how classic Chanel flaps can go with everything but ultimately look more glamorous in a dressy outfit?
