Thanks for the video. Galveston’s port crew are not friendly nor energetic. I think the lines are long outside because a lot of people arrive early. Carnival will not let you through the doors until the window of your boarding time. So we show up only in that window and walk straight through and are checked in and seated 15-30mins process every time. Sometimes we drop our luggage off then go park if the traffic isn’t bad. There are a lot of indoor scenic/relaxed seated areas that you can head to while waiting for your stateroom keys or tour the ship.
The layout of the Excel class ship while unique seems super poorly laid out. The venues are almost all to small and often in storage locations. The sports bar/ veterans venue is way to small for either of those things let alone both. I'm going back on the Jubilee two more ti es but only because of Kyndell fire.
