yeah at the moment all we really have is the guide to Holomog, which is fairly short and in one of the blood lords books, and some very brief mentions of a big lizardman nation called Droon, who are or were probably dominant over the area because the common language is called Drooni

These videos are pretty much the most information on the Mwangi Expanse that can be found on RUclips. I'm extremely grateful you're choosing to cover it and deeply excited/anxious for the remaining region videos.
Yeah a lot of it obviously comes from the Lost Omens 2E Mwangi book and from the 1E Heart of the Jungle book, but I've also taken effort to source the PF Society adventure, standalone modules and APs to fill in the missing pieces.
Our group is starting Serpent’s Skull in a few weeks! I’m pretty pumped. I’m build into the 3.5 Arachnomancer prestige class, but instead of being evil for Lolth, I’m going to be good for Grandmother Spider.
@@boldcitylongsword9941 I love this concept. Grandmother Spider is such a great goddess. She gives Loki vibes in the best way. The art of her pilfering the keys from Asmodeus while he's not looking is hysterical if you can find it.
@@TheMythkeeper The Regional deep dive video that I am most looking forward to is Nex. I didn't give it much thought until I saw the video on Geb. Now I'm left feeling like I was when I saw Avengers end game part one. I Really want to see part two, Regional Deep Dive: Nex.
@@rune5916 This is now fully recorded and it is indeed a really fun one. You have a little bit of a wait (6 weeks) because next deep dive is Worldwound, and my deep dives are once every 3 weeks.
@@TheMythkeeper Looking forward to it. I'll mark it on my calendar. Also the Worldwound sounds like it will be an Epic Story, I'll be looking forward to seeing it. And have a great day.

I enjoy all the deepdives alot and currently in a Strength of Thousands game so all the info from the Mwangi Expanse is great love it can't wait for all the rest of it.
2/3 of my Mwangi Expanse videos are done now (3/4 if you count my Vidrian video) so shouldnt be long now before the whole series is out. Glad you're getting some mileage out of it.
The last few weeks have been crazy and I'm only just watching this. I love how they've made this feel so distinct to the Southern Mwangi areas and cultures. The art is amazing too, you can really see the different influences combining into a new fantasy. Love it.
Yeah as you can tell by the length of this, I really enjoyed writing and recording this and was very hesitant to cut anything out of it. They also did a really terrific job in the 2E Lost Omens Mwangi book of extending and deepening the lore they established in 1E and updating in areas to reduce the exoticizing of the region's peoples. Great stuff all around.
@@TheMythkeeper They packed a lot of variety into the Mwangi expanse (I say based entirely on your videos). I can see so much potential for campaigns in both videos. There's the obvious pirate based one here. But there's also a lot of potential for exploration and finding out about the lost cyclops civilisation. There's the long standing emity between the elves and- I have forgotten the name. The trade consortium that used to run whitebridge?- But you could base a campaign around that too. Or hell just have a party trying to map the river and rocking from one crazy thing to the next.
@@lkriticos7619 - The Aspis Consortium definitely make for great villains in the region. There's also the potential for a broader campaign centering around the political dynamics of the major city-states and countries. Consider that there is a tactical alliance between Vidrian and Senghor that has existed since the revolution. Bloodcove still wants to establish itself as the pre-eminent regional power base and potentially be the center of a larger nation. The Shackles are at war with the Mbeke dwarves. Altogether this region could be a hotbed of shifting political alliances. You could easily have a campaign here like Kingmaker or Hell's Rebels that results in the formation of a new nation or changes the old power balance.
I know I’m late. But two hours?! What beautiful and wonderful escape. Thank you as always. Have you thought about doing like a Faction Feature? Or something like that. You tend to cover the factions of a region but I thought I’d throw that out as an idea
I will do factions at some point. I was thinking of doing a Firebrands video after the Shackles, a Hellknights video after Isger and a Pathfinder video after maybe Andoran or Absalom. I'll work an Aspis video in there too. I think those will be quite long and difficult like the region deep dives are so I've been hesitant to get started while there are still so many regions left to cover.
I wanna know more about Arcadia too, especially about the Caldaru and how they traveled all that way. I've scraped together what little info I can find. It's history has a very Aztec and Maya vibe I don't get too see too often.
@@heroicfool8541 There's a little info in guns & gears and a few other scattered places. It will be one of the later places I tackle in this series only because I'm hoping more Arcadian content will come out before I make my vid!

These videos keep on getting longer and longer (which is a good thing) although it does mean that by the time your done with these you'll probably be making 10 hour long videos lol
Between Shackles, Serpent's Skull, River of Darkness, and the Society paths, there is a lot that happened in this region in 1E, possibly more than in all the other territories in the Mwangi expanse.
I am leaning very heavily on the Lost Omens Mwangi Expanse Guide (2E). The content from Heart of the Jungle (1E) is getting used to fill in the gaps and so are some of the APs and PFS content
I can't wait for the central Mwangi video, mainly about the Matanji and their city state of the Ninewalls. Just seems interesting that they are Orcs but evolved differently then the rest of the Orcs. That and them being demons hunters to the point that most of the rest of the Mwangi population look fondly upon them. And how Half Orcs are their pride. Just seems crazy compared to the rest of the Orc lore of Pathfinder.
Since the Matanji have taken in a large number of humans from the Yamasan diaspora into their community, I'm actually tackling the Matanji in a video I'm calling "the Abendego Gulf" which covers Mediogalti, The Sodden Lands, Ninewalls, Haven & the city-state of Jaha. That's not that far off now. Shackles is my next Garundi Deep Dive, and then Abendego Gulf (then Central Mwangi of course).

Also, interesting to note how Senghor wants to help curtail colonization and foreign influences, eventhough it was founded by Caldaru colonizers ...
The more I watch these Mwangi Expanse and Northern Garund videos the more I wish Paizo would put out more information about the rest of Garund.
