Is gold a good investment in 2023? - Robert Kiyosaki, Jim Clark, Charles Goyette

  • In 1971 President Richard Nixon changed the rules of money. That year, the U.S. dollar ceased being money and became a currency. This was one of the most important changes in modern history, but few people understand why. Today’s guests explain why understanding the difference will help our listeners survive 2023.
Jim Clark, CEO of Republic Monetary Exchange says, “It’s a bigger risk having paper money that’s depreciating.” Clark goes on to point out that we are in the 51st year since Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard, and no other fiat currency has survived the past 50 years as a warning of the future of the dollar.
Charles Goyetter, author of the book “Red and Blue and Broke All Over” says, “There’s a rough patch of road ahead. For as bad as it’s going to be, the ones that take action will be so much better off.”
Host Robert Kiyosaki and guests Jim Clark and Charles Goyette discuss the difference between real money and fake money, and why cash is trash in 2023.

When you invest that money, it's the same as sending it to Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria. They can’t go pay a bill with a silver coin and even if they had the silver coin, they wouldn’t want to use it to pay a bill because they want to put it in a safe along with other silver or gold or real assets. That’s the biggest problem today and some people can’t imagine handing over $30 for silver. I agree that it’s much better to have silver instead of a savings account.

Can someone explain how if "Fake" money (Paper and Alloys) are truly fake, why we use that currency as a reference to the "Value" of "Real" Money? i.e. Gold is worth x number of "dollars" per oz. We can't (easily) purchase things or decide on the value of goods and services unless we relate it to a purchase price in the locally accepted currency.

So... with all the fun talk - please repeat - most important lesson - exactly what should we buy - gold or silver - how much? in what quantity? dimes and quarters or pure silver ingots? and how will we spend it as needed in future? to have gold and silver is fine until we can not trade for necessities!
