How to Secure Your Wealth During a Crisis - Robert Kiyosaki, Kim Kiyosaki,

  • US government bonds are considered risk-free. The interest rate at which all other bonds can be sold is determined by this risk-free rate on US government bonds plus a risk premium, which depends on the creditworthiness of the debt issuers. Therefore, when the yield on the government bond rises, the interest rates on mortgages, corporate bonds, credit cards, and student loans also rise-unless you’re in an inverted yield curve. Today’s guest explains what a bond is, what bonds are the safest, and the best place to put your money.
Adam Taggart, Founder of Wealthion, says, “An inverted yield curve is one of the most dependable signals for an approaching recession, and you should say to yourself, ‘I have to get prepared that we may be entering a pretty material recession.’”
Hosts Robert and Kim Kiyosaki and guest Adam Taggart discuss the likeness of a recession, the safety of investing bonds, and how to secure your wealth during the next financial crisis.

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $21k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

If they’d moved them to “available for sale” they would have taken a massive write-down on the value of the bonds. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or when ever you can afford to. To combat the negative effect of inflation, it’s a good idea to diversify your portfolio across different asset classes, such as stocks, bonds, and real estate, since this can help protect your portfolio against inflation. I’ve heard testimonies of people accruing over $550k during this period

Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you’re investing into can’t make good use of that capital. So if you’re trying to invest into businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they’re returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It’s not much different from bond investing. The way I see it if you have a $1 million at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...

This was a GREAT video! I've been so confused by Inverted yield curve and a few other things that were really well explained in this. Thank you for great explanations. By the way, I stocked up on Tuna and Chicken breast and bought 6 cases of chili beans. Yumm.

Finally subscribed to your channel! The humor was the best part of this. I listen to you all the time, Robert. Your Andy Schectman episode was one of the best. When I discovered Wealthion, I had already watched Andy on your show, so sent an email to Wealthion to ask them to have Andy on, too. I have seen programs go on for almost two hours there, so it would be great to see Andy for that long. Thank you for your Service, Robert! I served, too. There was an article years ago that tried to dismiss Viet Nam Veterans claims of being spit upon, so I asked every Viet Nam Vet I knew - I served from 1980-1984. Without exception, they all confirmed what you say! I appreciate you not doing anything to those misguided folk, as you might be in jail for taking care of business. LOL

The problem with investing in property is the stranglehold the gov't can then put you in, by demanding we accept their currency thru property taxes

Great information as always Robert & Kim. Though U.S. Treasury Bills, Bonds, or Notes "are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government" they are not FDIC insured. I am not a financial advisor. That being said I opted for a FDIC insured Money Market Fund in the interim due it is easier and faster o move money in and out as opposed to Treasury Bonds which usually have a fixed term that your money is locked" in that bond. If the USA ever opts for a digital currency I would support that as long as it is backed by and can be exchanged with gold and managed/issued directly by the Treasury Department and not the Federal Reserve which I would support dissolving/disbanding.

Love your tuna analogy. I'm doing it here in South Africa....pressure canning food as fast as I can and focussing on meat. Our money is becoming worthless and I'm a pensioner. Now and then I manage to buy some silver coins. I am nowhere near the levels that you guys are operating at financially but I have learned a lot from you....actually almost too late. Thanks so much for your vlogs. Much appreciated. Blessings from Cape Town. ❤🇿🇦

It might be better to look at the history of the Dutch bond market in the 17th and 18th century. They invented what we know of as bonds today and faced the costs of losing reserve currency status when the Gelder was replaced with the English Pound.

How does the Canadian dollar fit in? Are we so tied to the US that we fall at or near the same time? Or maybe we fall as the last domino before the US? I have noticed that silver is moving in Canadian dollars very similar percentages to US dollars

Each to there own. For me buying Land is my investment. I use loans to minimize spending my actual money. And in return I get tax deductions not from the land but the loan itself.
