I've been practicing Astrology for over 40 years and I love to deal with sceptics... On Christmas eve we were invited to a large family dinner with inlaws and all, many of them I've never even met before. At some part of the evening someone quite innocently mentioned that I was into Astrology, many laughed scepticly and asked me to tell the future. I read 4 birth charts one at a time but starting with past events and personality traits and everyone was astounded by the accurasy of what came out... even their darkest secrets 😅 my story of 4 sceptics who became beleivers. The secret is to tell them the past first and at that point they are craving to hear the rest. Good luck

Personally, I find a quick and easy way to tackle sceptics is to ask them if they have studied Astrology themselves to know if it works or not. When they say "No", which is going to be 99.9% of the time, they don't have a leg to stand on ...
As a skeptic, I'd hope any system which helps individuals improve their lives is worth considering as valid. Stay strong astrology peeps! Wield that knowledge!

10 out of 10 people who shit on astrology don't actually know anything about it, they just heard some memes about the signs and felt triggered lol🤦♀
I recently had a conversation with a skeptic, and explained that the starts were tracked for thousands of years, along with events that took place. And people started noticing that certain events can be predicted by the planets. But that doesn't mean the planets caused the events. Everyone accepts that "history repeats itself". Our ancestors just found a way of tracking when history will repeat itself using the stars. The skeptic became a lot less antagonizing after that explanation

As you say in the start of the video, I notice very different kind of sceptics. For me the answer and the effort depends on if the sceptic starts with a statement or a question.
Astrology is real , I look into my boyfriend solar chart since he passed away there is a lot of signs that shows about his struggle and passing away I regret not knowing about this even his aspects also did show in his lunar return , I miss him a lot , I will always remember him until my death . rip Leo 💙🕊

My dad is not even a skeptic, he full blown thinks it's nonsense and that by believing somehow my mind is clouded (hello Aquarius sun and taurus rising, i see you, dad). Yet he can't even tell me the most basic information on astrology - so ask the skeptics - what is astrology, what's it based off of, what planet does is revolve around. They literally wont be able to tell you, guaranteed. Then you just brush off cause clearly they don't know their shit and can't speak on it.
Make them the stupid one for trying to talk out of their ass. I love my father, but like he doesn't know the power of astrology
maybe it's worth asking him questions, as an aquarius myself and having to deal with many stubborn ones, the best way to get them to change their mind is to get them to do it by asking them really basic things to open their mind, you basically have it here with asking how it works to him, but it can feel like a superiority thing it may be best to ask simpler like, does he believe he knows everything there is to know about life and all sciences, what if you told him this was a science, would he be open to having his mind changed as it's important to you and could help him, knowledge is power afterall, give instances of how everytime jupier enters Pisces the crypto market crashes, just a thought it may help ( also I'm aqua sun libra rising and Taurus moon and understand this comment is probably very libra rising of me :') )
People don't need to be knowledgeable about everything in a certain topic to draw factual conclusions. I agree it would be good but it's not 100% necessary. The scientific consensus helps with that. Everything that a person claims to have certain effects on humans can be measured. Otherwise that person themselves cannot present their claim as factual. Because how do you know if something is true if it can't be measured? So it's on the claim maker to justify the claim. And so far no scientific consensus has been made about measurements/studies that Astrology is accurate. Can you measure that 10 out of 10 times a person you select out of a group will have certain characteristics and personality traits solely based on the date that they were born and the planet's alignment? That should be easily measured by science. Why hasn't it been and is deemed as pseudoscience?
For example the topics he mentions at the start of the video are TRUE but based on Astronomy/Astrophysics which are the actual scientific fields that measures those things. Those statements about gravity/mass and it's effect on planets are true and 100% can be measured. The problem however is that it hasn't been measured that those things have effects on our psyche and personality (like Astrology claims).
Considering that the days of the week are derived from the planets, it shouldn’t be very hard :)
The simple explanation is FREQUENCIES. Everything works by frequencies.

Most of us were open to learning astrology, never was our aim to prove it to anyone. Astrology can save lives from suicide. It does take maturity and responsibility to believe in astrology in a healthy way and I think a lot of people aren’t ready for that responsibility
one of my fave arguments to use on anyone ( as people in England seem to attest me quite fiercely on it ) Is this: ' You know how the tides are controlled by the moon, a huge body on our planets surface, is it so strange to believe that the larger celestial bodies have an effect on us who are a lot smaller bodies than the ocean'
as they understand the gravitational forces and how they work on things like the see, and it only therefore makes sense after that things like the moon and even larger things would have an effect on all of us in some way

My hangup with astrology comes from personal experience.
I got my birth chart, and the thing seems to describe somebody who is the exact opposite of me in every way. It's just fire signs everywhere, Leos coming out of my ears. According to this chart, I should be an outgoing, ambitious, extraverted, charismatic leader of men. In real life, I'm a soft-spoken, reclusive, introspective guy who's been stuck in a low-level job for a decade.
I'm ok with "we don't know how, but it works." Where I have a problem is when it's "this thing doesn't work, and nobody can even explain how it was theoretically supposed to work."

I keep telling my friends to bring up astrology when talking to someone on dating apps (even if they themselves don't believe in it). The guy's reaction makes it clear if they're sexist. So far it's worked every time as an indicator!

100% my experience. INCELs and sexists especially among young urban men HATE astrology and trust me, they also hate women and anything feminine/girli/spiritual. It’s the best test to filter the wrong guys. It also says a lot about how narrow minded and uninteresting they are. Astrology is in the realm of imagination, fantasy, art as well as math and science. When a man lacks in the imaginative brain, he’s NEVER a romantic. Just run. He will be a closed minded matter of fact type. “It’s been 3 years of dating you and now I must move on bc your family isn’t up my standard and your face is sagging and you are a bit fat for me, this is not how you looked like 3 years ago”. This is how a man like that dumps you after wasting 3 years of your life. Run from them.
As a (hobby) herbalist in a country (The Netherlands) where that tradition is completely vanished and Science is The Religion. I get a lot: ‘That has not been scientifically proven’. I ussually give the sceptics some pause and perspective by saying: ‘The earth was already round before it was scientifically proven it was’…
(Bit off topic: in case of herbalism, since about 70% of all medicine is based on some plant based or herbal action, like aspirine, it actually is not only scientifically proven and acknowledged it is scientifically used. In my mind I add a childish and mean:’so, that shows how much you know’…)
(‘Plus’, I Capricorningly add, ‘you really don’t believe coffee and cannabis are the only herbs with a noticeable effect on humans, do you’…)

I once had a conversation with a man and when he asked about my interests, I stated "astrology". His reply back was "should I even be talking with you? (found out he came from a narrow minded religion. Yep. Been there, done that) lol!
I believe astrology is a gift from the divine.
My husband's Sun is in 4 degrees Sagittarius.
My Arabian Part of Marriage is also at 4 degrees Sag.
The odds of that happening are 360 to 1.
As a female business owner, I can tell you that the subtle and most times, not so subtle judgement we get from people is the reason we are constantly fighting an uphill battle. Its hard enough running a business without all this unnecessary judgements.

Cam i think you'll appreciate this story - i was having a hard time reading charts and interpreting them. This weekend i took an edible and was mind-high and started interpreting the shit out of my friends charts. Like modality, body parts, synnastry and communication styles. Therapist astrology.
My friend has venus, mercury, sun, and chiron in libra in 12th house and mental health and physical is the struggle - but also apparently she had insane skin issues as a teen. That's jsut one connection.
So anyways, sativa. Works wonders for getting past stuck points, its like acid for me (scorpio rising)

I always start with well, the moon causes waves. The gravitational pull effects the oceans THAT much. And weather is affected enough that when there are strong storms and there might be flooding-they note that it’s a full moon!!! The waves and high tide will affect the flooding.
That’s everyday, easily understood impact on our day to day lives. And that is basically showing that energy affects us, and planets much much larger than the moon, are exerting their energy and gravitational pull on us. I usually let it rest after that😂 many have no argument about energy.

It's simple. I tell them that it is not a belief, it's a language. Then I ask, "Do you believe in French?" And then I laugh and tell them to go get a book and learn some verbs and nouns in this ancient language. Because arguing with the unschooled is just a case of "throwing pearls before swine". As usual Cam, I love your passion and want you to marry my granddaughter!
The problem with that statement is that Astrology (unlike a language) makes statements about the universe and claims to grant accurate information about it and it's effect on humans. Furthermore it gives prescriptions about how people should act according to it. I doubt anyone would mind if Astrology was just an artsty way people talk with each other. It's understandable why grandiose claims would require solid proof especially if people think it would impact and affect their life. I don't see why there is such condescendance towards skeptics.

To answer your final query, skepticism is fine if the skeptic is educated in the subject, but I have yet to meet a skeptic who has read one single book about the subject. How many astrology books have you read? Have you ever had a comprehensive analysis of your chart done for you?
As for Proof, the entire scientific doctrine for creation, The Big Bang Theory, is based on that unprovable assumption, which is indeed, a Theory, which is defined as an unproven idea. So, can we just listen and love each other without having to prove it?

Interesting timing as I was just talking about this with another creator who does astrology. My panacea is to suggest forgetting the word "astrology" as it has too many bastardized connotations and to think of it as a system of archetypes. That usually shuts down m-fers who are just looking to contradict and naysay while stimulating more thoughtful intelligent types to contemplate the iea.

I read that same article about Mercury and Jupiter's gravity! Will try to find it. Also, Jupiter has all the elements for being a second star but somehow couldn't reach a high enough temp and so technically isn't a star. But explains a lot about Jupiter lmao

I've had two close encounters with skeptics and they were my friends. 😮💨 One wasn't spiritual, at all. The other was, an Orphic - they are cynical about astrology which really upset me because... how can you not believe in astrology when you follow this tradition and we follow the same gods, though I'm no Orphic, I'm Greco-Roman practitioner but informed also with ancient philosophy.
I digress... there wasn't a way that I could have a useful conversation with her (the non-spiritual one) so I had to just say that it's interesting and it makes sense to me because I like knowing that my birth and sign has very deep meaning to me. To her it looked intimidating because she immediately thought complex math when she saw my chart 😏
The Orphic I had to ask questions because it seemed so hypocritical that astrology was sus for them; they have a damn zodiacal calendar for their tradition (it even looks like an astrological chart), like... what?! Our ancient ancestors figured all this out for us to expand upon and find use with their findings. Why would they just dismiss all that? The gods we worship, the names of the planets correspond to them and they're understood to be the guardians of that planet but also of the zodiac corresponding to said planet. I think their problem is they didn't trust it because of how some 'astrologers' are very mainstream and only in it for the money. They also saw it as divination which was strictly forbidden in the tradition they're in; which is a shame.😤 Now they just respect me about it, but they don't practice astrology. Eh, I'll take that as a W. In the end it doesn't effect me if they believe or not, but don't come at me about it, especially if you're a friend.
We can 100% measure gravitational force with extraordinary accuracy. Not to mention Mercury's surface simply isn't molten. It's a truly strange statement and you admitted you couldn't even find the article you tried to cite.
Cam i am feeding your algorithm rn, but i have a question for a video(?). How do you know what system is best for you? Under HSH i have a stellium (venus, mars, jupiter) in my 2nd house sag. But under placidus that stellium is in my 1st house with my sun, and pluto (and asc duh). I was born like 10 hours after a pluto venus conjunction and i feeeel it. My chart has planets in Libra to Pisces and thats it, so a ton of aspects.
The 3 planet stellium is now way bigger, and the meaning changes. So idk which system makes sense.. HSH for simplicity but placidus for accuracy+complex

Thank you for your talk. How would you see it when someone found a wrong chart to be correct? My hypothesis is 1. that astrology is a secial form of thinking /reasoning as well as not an accurate science like mathematics, 2. that it might have had wrong things that the receipient overlooked because focusing on the correct things.I need more data /facts of the incident to have an opinion. And in anyway, it doesn't disprove Astrology, that f ex a teacher gave the same sheet of paper to every pupil as a description of their Sun sign. It depends on how it is written, what is focused on, and of course every astrologer colours his interpretations according to his level and depth of knowledge, isight, spiritual and language etc -skills.Sceptics/ non-believers deny without havibg lernt and experienced it, just as atheists f ex.That is a bit boring and meaningless.I don't know astrology nwell enough to claim I believe in it 100%, but enough to hypothetically count on its validity and truth, as well as having experienced it objectively enough imes for it to not be coincidence.

@@usbsol. That’s a silly statement. The point is that everything is governed by cause and effect. Without the placement of the planets, the orbit would be different, which would have a negative effect on our planet. If a hurricane was heading your way, would you wonder how it would affect your job?

Have you ever read Michel Gauquelin's books, "The Truth About Astrology," "Cosmic Influences on Human Behavior: The Planetary Factors in Personality," "The spheres of destiny: Your personality and the planets," "Written in the Stars" and "The Scientific Basis of Astrology"? He was a renowned French statistician. There is also Gunther Sach's book, "The Astrology File: Scientific Proof of the Link Between the Star Signs and Human Behaviour".
