I'll be honest, the first time I heard this, I didn't like it at all and I preferred BTS' cover. But I kept coming back to see this original - and now I finally appreciate it as OG K-pop. Sure, it isn't like today, but their voices are so unique together to create a type of harmony that doesn't exist today. The tune is catchy and their performance just oozes charisma. They are fucking kings, and I'm so glad that Seo Taiji decided to release that cover and hold a concert because we all can appreciate the song that started it all.
And then the Infires Nation attacked my hearteu I felt the same exact way. There's something so rare and special in the classics you don't find anymore.
I was curious what was the original for BTS's cover version, and I regret absolutely nothing, because I find this one awesome as well. Both versions are really good, tho they're both completely different in style and even lyrically, at some point

I have to disagree but, respect one's opinion...Both groups have a nice spin. If you watch bts live performance from 4th muster. Very upbeat and creative dance. Jin's voice in the beginning is amazing and jhope has that grit in his voice. If I hadn't known about this group, I would think bts owned "come back home. This group has a more funky vibe and slower groove which is cool!

I'm turning 50 in December of 2021. Same age as Seo Taiji. I was a freshment in college the year Seo Taiji first appeared on T.V. I remember clearly how his few years as Seo Taiji and Boy changed Korea. I can testify that he is truly a legend of K-pop. And I still listen to his songs time to time.

So these are the guys that transformed the Korean music industry. This is the first 90s Korean group I've listened to and it's interesting to see how much the music and styles have changed.
guys...you don't know how legendary this is. Seo Taiji and Boys really changed the game for the entire korean music industry. I'm a huge IKON / Team B stan and when they covered this song through their dance, that's when I first found out about Seo Taiji. I'm late on that. But damn....even though their rapping obviously needs work - it's nothing compared to what artists can do today - their music overall was monumental. I'm really into this song and the lyrics are actually really cool. I've always kinda been an old school hip hop person rather than the new stuff nowadays that uses a lot of trap elements within their music. I will always have Coolio and Wu Tang Clan in my heart. Fort Minor too...sadly they're inactive nowadays. But Korean music has transformed so quickly in such a short amount of time. It's quite amazing.
every gen has their definitive group. 1st gen was seo taiji and boys. 2nd gen was bigbang. 3rd gen is bts. but seo taiji and boys are the founding fathers of kpop lol.
Seo Taiji made this kind of music style more 25 years ago. Before them, major popular music style was just korean ballad and easy listening in Korea. Seo Taiji introduced new style of music to Korea that no one else did, and young Koreans were enthusiastic about their music. Today's Korean idol is raised by a major music company, but Seo Taiji had created his own style music only himself. That's why we've respected him still now.
This is absolutely amazing. No wonder YG's become such a huge figure in Korean music nowadays. This era was the best ever, I'm so glad I got to see such performances. The choreo's no joke !

guys...you don't know how legendary this is. Seo Taiji and Boys really changed the game for the entire korean music industry. I'm a huge IKON / Team B stan and when they covered this song through their dance, that's when I first found out about Seo Taiji. I'm late on that. But damn....even though their rapping obviously needs work - it's nothing compared to what artists can do today - their music overall was monumental. I'm really into this song and the lyrics are actually really cool. I've always kinda been an old school hip hop person rather than the new stuff nowadays that uses a lot of trap elements within their music. I will always have Coolio and Wu Tang Clan in my heart. Fort Minor too...sadly they're inactive nowadays. But Korean music has transformed so quickly in such a short amount of time. It's quite amazing.
