Dr. Richey you are correct. No matter what Chris Rock is the victim and Will Smith is completely wrong. That's not how you handle things. Violence is not the answer.

    • @Oxygen257
      @Oxygen257 2 года назад

Oh please, violence may not be the answer, but Violence is the American way. When one is born and grows up in America you get ingrained in this violent culture and all that around you gets embedded in one’s psyche. Look at the disgruntled people who shoot up the workplace because they got fired or bullied at work, Look at kids who learned from the adults and shoot up the school for being bullied or some other disgruntled reason.
Americans, people who love and cheer at the hardest hits in football, people who love to see & cheer on MMA fights and watch a man get pummeled in the head even after he is down and out, people who bashed Mayweather for not being more brutal in his fights wanting to see blood and more damage, people who love movies and TV shows packed with violence, (majority of American movies and TV shows are about killing or someone hitting, beating someone else up),
people who had NO problem with Tommy Lee and Kid Rock fighting at an award show over Pamela Anderson and said what he did was right,
people who tell their kids the way to stop a bully is to fight him, people who loved the fights on the Jerry Springer show & those Housewives reality shows and all these other reality shows, people who love to see a white person get popped in the mouth for using the N word,
people who have NO problem with cops killing unarmed black and brown people, people who have organizations dedicated to the hatred and violent acts of destruction against other races and religions, people who love to go to other countries and start wars over so called democracy, these are just a minuscule list that immediately comes to mind, however the list goes on & on & on.
People on social media need to stop with the hypocrisy and self righteousness indignation of this one little act between these two men. Everyone is acting like it is the end of the world because a man slapped another man on TV. What they should be concerned with is if the allied nations try to stop Putin, nukes may be deployed and if they don’t stop him, he will continue to the next country and nukes will be deployed.

Hell even God got stoned for his words so the book says nobody really knows. A smack is just a damn smack n he only caught the 4 fingers didn't even connect like ppl think yea ill give u a time n place for it. But Chris didn't file charges n I think at the moment I think Chris got aware of the why but still kinda n shock. Yea will would smack them im tired of ppl saying will wouldn't smack this person n that person yes he would've tf. It just would've been a fight but absolutely he would've smack Harvey or someone based on Jada n her shit. Yall mean to say if he'd slap one of them it's a fight. Another man got smacked oh lord welcome to the damn real world Hollywood n ppl here are humans and not perfect so shit happen shut up move on if he ain't file charges or suing then talk about it n move on it ain't that serious to us frfr only to the parties involved. Yall wanna blow this shit up for your ratings n shit nun more man got smacked not the 1st not the last worse shit happens on t.v smh. Will goin thru shit he had a moment of weakness based off a feeling from his wife i wish I would tell that man he wrong. Ppl do shit for the man n woman in their relationship all the time that's overboard. How many men got smacked by a female bc her feelings got hurt In public? Mo matter the size event famous or common ppl this shit here is just ehhh at best good talk for a day or 2 then that's it. Bad joke bad handling of situation by will but he handled it regardless and at the end of the day what we say what other famous ppl say doesn't mean a thing when it comes to a man n his wife period. It is what it is but ain't no damn body traumatized Wanda Sikes and nobody sickened Steve Harvey Jim carry just u Hollywood ppl who 4got we all just imperfect humans with emotions. Nobody is allowed to tell someone else how they should handle anything he did what he did that's that Chris already getting paid literally right after it anyways 40 to 400 a ticket foh. The comment Chris Rock made was a complement in original movie Demi Moore looked exquisite in G.I Jane . Jada Smith looked exquisite at the Oscars , had no idea about her hair problem, maybe Chris did not, the thing is Jada looked good. Thing I could not understand how or why someone would come on TV and talk about her entanglement with her husband Will Smith to the whole world, she was not upset then.

Yes! Suggesting that Jada was starring in GI Jane II at 50 years old was a compliment. Jada has been in other movies with a shaved head, she's beautiful (visually, not spiritually). I did not know she has alopecia, neither did Chris.

Will and Jada put everything in public so why get upset at this....the joke wasn't an insult that movie was about a strong woman. Chris is a comedian and if Jada was so sensitive then don't go to a place where you know comedians are going to be on stage. Will wasn't upset at that joke, Will has been so emasculated by this woman and he is probably upset with her for making him into a joke that he has misplaced anger and took it out of Chris.....

Absolutely correct! Conversely, no woman who suffers from a hair loss disease should not be the "butt" of a comedian's joke about her hair. Chris Rock " rocked the boat" in 2016 when he made disparaging comments about both Will and Jada, as well as another famous singer. A man's family should be off limits to comedians, free speech notwithstanding. Many of these same people( Men in particular) who feign outrage at what Will did are the same men who would not think twice about slapping their wife, girlfriend, sister, aunt, or mother. Hypocrisy much? Chris verbally "slapped" Jada, and Will physically slapped Chris. Both were wrong...

If "will smith" had slapped Chris Rock in that press room, Chris Rock would still be STOMPIN will smith into the floor like a RIVET. At least that's what I would have done, plus if you look at the slap up close Chris Rock actually balls up his fist ready to smack "will" back, but when "will" turns around and walks away Chris quickly relented . Anyhow Chris Rock probably figured "will smith" was gonna whisper something in his ear like: "lay off jada, that hoe is about to lose her mind over that BALD head of hers". Chris Rock had no idea that NIT WIT decided to end his acting career that night at the Oscars. What film director or producer in their right mind would include "will smith" in their film budget and/or cast his punk- azz into a movie nobody on the planet wants to see??

Will Smith after seeing his wife visibly shaken by this blatant insult of her medical condition, calmly got up out of his seat, walked to the stage in plain sight, and slapped the man who insulted his wife, and mother of his children. Then he calmly walked back and sat down. Then Chris Rock realized his error and took it like a man, and calmly said; "Will Smith just slapped the piss out of me." Then he finished his speech. Then Will Smith told him why he slapped him stating; "Keep my wife's name out of your mouth." Then later accepted his Oscar. Opportunist want to make it messy so they can turn it into a financial opportunity. The Oscar's though a very uncomfortable PR moment, should be happy about the enormous spike in ratings and the fact this caused this year's OSCAR'S to go viral on all local and international social and media outlets. So let us go on to more important issues like World War 🌎 3 in Europe and Russia. Also the high prices of fuel and a pending food shortage.

That's exactly what I said to my husband tonight. Had Mike Tyson made the very same joke, Will would have remained seated, for sure!!😄😆🤣

I'm so over Americans holding celebrities to a higher account, rather than holding politicians to the same account. Will Smith just had a human folly. We've all been there.

Chris rock was all the way wrong on this how cant you make a joke about something personal to the whole world Chris rock knew Jada's situation and still look to disrespect her and him like it was cool to do that. He stood up for his wife as he should and Chris rock is lucky it was just a slap and not a knockout punch.

Chris rock was not a professional when you got personal in his jokes . And he knew he cross the line because if he didn't there would have been a straight up throwing of hand on that stage facts.

    Manhood includes impulse control!
    Thank you Dr. Thank you.
Because a REAL man AND women can take a joke. And that joke was a compliment if you really think about it.
Oh please people just grow up and follow the shinning, stellar, spectacular, literally sensational example of TRUE manhood.
Thank you Mr Rock for being a gentleman.
