  • A soil biology revolution is happening all around us, and good compost is key!
✅ Learn about our current offer 👉 promo.soilfoodweb.com/oct23s-...
Learn from regenerative farmers, consultants, and trainers of Soil Food Web professionals who explored the ongoing soil biology revolution, with a focus on the importance of good compost. Cory Miller, a graduate of the Soil Food Web School's (SFWS) Foundation Courses, utilizes biological compost on his 3,000-acre farm in Montana. Brian Vagg and Keisha & Casey Ernst are all SFW consultants who help farmers bring their soil back to life. Jo Tobias, a Regenerative Soils & Living Compost Specialist, shared the application methods she uses on small-scale operations. During the webinar, the panelists discussed the results they have observed on farms implementing the Soil Food Web Approach, and also explained why a microscope is the trusted companion of compost makers.

    ----------
The Soil Food Web School’s mission is to empower individuals and organizations to regenerate the soils in their communities. The Soil Food Web Approach can dramatically accelerate soil regeneration projects by focussing on the soil biome. This can boost the productivity of farms, provide super-nutritious foods, protect and purify waterways, and reduce the effects of Climate Change. No background in farming or biology is required for our Foundation Courses. Classes are online & self-paced, and students are supported by highly-trained Soil Food Web School mentors.
Over the last four decades, Dr. Elaine Ingham has advanced our knowledge of the Soil Food Web. An internationally-recognized leader in soil microbiology, Dr. Ingham has collaborated with other scientists and with farmers around the world to further our understanding of how soil organisms work together and with plants. Dr. Ingham is an author of the USDA's Soil Biology Primer and a founder of the Soil Food Web School.

How about a Disney style movie on all the microbes in soil life and their battles and how they save the world? Wonderful way of getting this knowledge out to the younger generation

Is a finished drier compost more safer than wet compost. I can't afford a microscope so l have to use my judgement based on temperature, smell, texture and never over watered it. It looks great. Trying to find a solution for small scale rural farmers in Zambia. Get some excited listening to you guys but we are limited in resources here and most farmers here cant afford to buy a bottle of water.

@Patson Ncube Microbes need water to live too. Dr. Elaine uses the "hand-squeeze" test -- grab a handful of your compost and squeeze, you should see droplets -- not a flow or stream of water. you keep doing that test throughout the compost making process.
