At my local track, the 992 GT3 is a bit faster than the GT4 RS with a pro driver. His comment was that it's less stable in the rear under braking and has more understeer at the limit. However the GT4 RS sounds so good from the inside, it was so loud even with a helmet on!
It's some weird rule they have in the USA for trackdays - that and having to literally point people by with your arm. Glad we don't have that bollocks in Europe.
@@HondaExige1 in theory so they can pull you out more easily if you wad up your car. easy enough to break the glass imo. yeah. i hate driving with the windows rolled down.
@@DarkTouch Vs the probably more common scenario of people's arms dangling out the open window while the car rolls and getting it decapitated. But yeah I'd never run with windows down, wind noise and buffeting is horrible. And why do you guys have to do point buys instead of just using indicators like over here, how is being in less control of the car a good thing? Also over here we run open pitlane all day, no groups/classes or anything.
The justification for it runs deep. Supposedly rooted in safety, I'm of the opinion id prefer to keep windows up, music on, hands on the wheel and use my blinker...
GT4 RS and 991.2 GT3 on same tires, both stock should be about same lap times. But GT4 RS will be slower vs 992 GT3, again if stock and same tires. I have owned and tracked them all. 992 GT3 is so good, the suspension is such a massive improvement as it allows the car to be so stable in the turns that you are comfort pushing it harder and harder. Also, it has Rear steering and simply more rubber on the ground. I drove them back to back numerous times and it’s no contest that 992 GT3 is better car. That being said, I have a lot more fun in the 4RS as it’s more challenging to nail a quick lap.

Was the 992 gt3 pdk? I have manual gt3 and 4rs, I'm faster in the 4rs - however I'm faster in a pdk so didn't get full representation.
