For city and occasional touring full gauntlet might be tricky, coming to short gloves I experienced XDI Stealth and currently using rynox air GT, I must say choosing a right size makes all the difference for comfort to a rider and never I ever will buy online. Great video buddy as always, I wished you would have choosen rynox but hearing entire video I can understand why you didn't. Happy Riding be curious
Great choice. The Grid is on my radar for a long time. When I wanted to buy it (same black-red), it was out of stock. Then Corona came. So I will get one before my next long ride.
I have been using Viaterra for more than a year now and it provides excellent cooling even during the summers. Have done a 3000 kms solo ride on this in south
For City Riding I feel Viaterra Holeshot is a better option. Am currently using same and quite happy and impressed with Holeshot but as you said I should not comment about something which I haven't used. It's just my personal outlook that short gountlet gloves are better than full gountlet as far as city riding is concerned
Thanks for the initial impressions. As you suggested, I am looking forward to own a pair for city ride with good ventilation. I hope you suggest one soon. All the best!
These are very good gloves... I just cleaned mine after a 580km ride... Oiled and cleaned them up... frequent wear and removal is a bit of a pain.. but the fit is superb... Cheers🙏
I've been using these gloves on my current trip and I'm more than happy with them. The only issue I faced on my dominar with these gloves is that the right hand knuckles are getting rashes when cruising at specifically 100 kmph for a long time, maybe because of the angle at which the wrist stays at that speed. Otherwise its a great product.
Disinfecting and cleaning leather gloves is a big challenge. Please make a video on it with details of which products to use and how to use them without damaging the gloves.
@@thesportztourer Yes I have. But there is a huge difference because helmet liners are washable in water, but leather gloves are not. The sprays currently available in the market are nothing more than fragrance sprays to temporarily camouflage any odour. In other words, plain useless as they don't have any disinfecting properties either. Just a note: I wash my helmet visor regularly under running tap (without removing from the helmet) with a little bit of hair shampoo. It does a very good job.
Absolutely right. I personally prefer vacuuming the gloves (once in a week). Foam based cleaners do a good job in cleaning. For conditioning, cream based conditioners (non coloured) meant for leather shoes give satisfactory results 😊
I also just bought a pair of gloves! I was gonna buy the VT Holeshot but I found out about the sale on BBG and bought the SNELL flouro from there! My first leather gloves.
@@thesportztourer yes I saw your video as well it was helpful in drawing inferences. As of now I have used them maybe 30-50km. So only first use experience. 1. Leather is quite hard! 2. Left pinky doesn't bend easily when needed for using clutch, obstructs. Will need a new adjustment setting for the clutch. 3. Something's pinching my palm under my right pinky and it's very irritating. If you can, please get a video on 'how to break in leather motorcycle gloves at home for cheap', since you're gonna be doing that anyway. I am looking for something like that and found a few points.
Make video on Castrol Power 1 ultimate (Fully synthetic engine oil) for bike and scooter . New product from castrol . I really belive on you, your review is important to me.
Thank a lot @Sunil katwale the kind words. Castrol ultimate review will take some time as these oil reviews take a lot of time and effort to test their performance under different conditions to finally come up with a well analyzed video.
Whoaaa!!! What an immaculate review, superb one. Now, why is it that i am unable to find this red color, i could see just three colors everywhere i.e. green, black and orange. Is red no more produced?? Let me know if possible, thank you. Cheers! :)
Thanks Prasad for showing interest. Castrol ultimate will take some time as these oil reviews take a lot of time and effort to test their performance under different conditions to finally come up with a well analyzed video. Happy to see riders like you taking interest in these type of videos 😊
Not sure how effective the scaphoid protection sliders are. I had a major accident in January and my right hand’s scaphoid had multiple fractures (12 in total), being the point of initial impact followed by my face. Otherwise the gloves do a commendable job. The knuckles protectors literally saved my right knuckles as the TPU was literally sheared off. As you mentioned the gloves need some time to break in.
Thanks Senthil for sharing your first hand experience here. I hope you have completely recovered now. The thought of motorcycle accident really disturbs me. Please take care of yourself.
I can assure you, they work. I crashes with and without. Without it, I broke my left hand at the wrist joint in two places. With a glove from tbg , my first glove with sps I crashed and what I clearly remember is the feeling of sliding on the tarmac effortlessly (always wore all my gear I own.) Got up dusted myself and rode home . All in one piece 😂. But one thing I must admit was the speeds of the crash were day and night. The one that broke my wrist involved two jaywalkers and reckless speeding from my end. The second where I walked away intact and fine the speeds were atleast 60-70kmph slower.
Right now they are performing well in 15-25°C weather. If you are specifically looking for winter gloves then you can have a look at this review: ruclips.net/video/aN3aPm8pzoU/видео.html
Comfort wise Rynox is better while Viaterra takes time to take the shape and contours of your hand. Both are good in covering the safety aspects. For me the Viaterra grid is holding really well with regular use, I hope Rynox will perform and last well but I don't have any long term experience with Rynox gloves.
You can't go wrong with either. While rynox is CE certified, viaterra has a better thumb and pinky protection. Personally, I find the rynox pair much more comfortable.
