    Guys, DO NOT STOP MAKING THESE VIDEOS. You may have low View Count (for now), but the way you guys cover these topics is NEEDED. You never know, the next Post Malone/Kanye/Beyonce/etc, could be watching right now, and your videos could be helping them along their way

      Thanks so much! We're really chilled with the views, we see it as like speaking to a room full of 300 people, that's still a big number. As long as people keep watching we'll just keep making them until we run out of things to talk about :)

    Thank you for your time of sharing. I'm currently on OffTop app sharing singing and writing on beats. Building a fanbase is a great idea. I would love to share some originals with you guys on day. Grabbing the audience again means alot to me. Your information is well listening to you and appreciated.

    Hey! Thank the advice. I completely agree with you guys. Just a quick question, to promote a new release, should I be focusing on Spotify playlists or Facebook/instagram ads more?

    Good video about labels, very important to know all of this for any musician. Question: If you have the money to produce music and for marketing, is there any benefit to be signed if, according to what you say, pretty much all you get from the label these days is the money?

    • @Burstimo
      @Burstimo  5 лет назад +2

      Thank you!
      To be honest, there isn't a massive need for them if you have the promotional budget or time to invest in your promotion.
      HOWEVER, labels have fantastic contacts for things such as support slots, getting you in to Spotify and Apple Music and collaborating with other major names.
      They can sometimes fasten the process of succeeding but if you have fantastic music and a strong promotional strategy, you can get there without the help of a label.

    So here is the problem guys, I compose, arrange, write, and produce music. Im also a singer/rapper. I know the market and audience but have no platform, and unlike other signed artists my music is good. How do I approach a label?

    • @Burstimo
      @Burstimo  5 лет назад +2

      You don't! You focus on building your name and engaging audience so that the labels can see you can get the attention.
      They aren't going to sign anyone that isn't releasing music or don't have a engaged fanbase yet so focus your attention on that

    A lot of artist are still in the 80's and 90's mindset. Plus there lazy and egotistical so they don't want to do the work that a major label would do.

    • @Burstimo
