What I love about this is it doesn’t try to be fancy or arty farty, it’s just a good honest plate of quality home cooked food like my old nan used to serve up for me

The independent bakers around where I live absolutely pack them with meat. I wouldn't dream of buying pies from supermarkets or chain bakeries these days
Gary. You were truly blessed. Whoever recommended you to go here, take a bow. Inspired choice. The Humble Pie N Mash is a Whitby "institution" of legendary proportions. Incredibly busy in holiday seasons. Variety, substance, taste and ambience at sensible prices. It's an 11 out of 10 all day from me. The last time we went here pre Covid, I had a Lamb and Mint Pie and my wife had a Chicken, Ham and Mushroom. Both with mash, gravy and mushy peas. Both pies were totally outstanding. We took our fur baby on there too. We shared an Apple and Sultana pie with custard. The custard was made with Bird's Custard Powder, which is what I grew up with. None of this fancy dancy creamy Creme Anglaise that all the poncey chefs overcharge for. It's a nostalgia fest in that cafe. The custard was reminiscent of the post war through to early 80s eras of puddings. We still use Birds Custard Powder in our house to this day. Love the stuff. If you tried to change it, it would lose its authenticity. Lovely video from start to finish. I feel so blessed to have this on our doorstep.
It's funny how good, honest home cooked food puts a smile on your face which you don't get with expensive food. I think humble, simple food takes you back to being a kid and that's why it brings a smile to your face. Times were simpler, the food was simpler, but it was still fantastic. And then Findus crispy pancakes and Vienetta arrived and it's been downhill ever since 🤣
It's interesting that some people love nostalgia and others, like me, would rather avoid the whole thing. English food. Irrespective of the quality, the cuisine is positively medieval, and it is not for no reason that English restaurants do not appear anywhere in the world, not really even here. To me, there is no finesse, no delicacy, no flair, just brown food, tasting heavy and dull, often with gravy to just ensure that the whole plate tastes of the same brown turgid mud. The video should have been in black and white.. Austrian food isn't far behind, certainly Eastern European, like Romania and Poland. It's wonderful that you get something out of "humble, simple food" that puts a smile on your face. I envy you that, Steve. I wish I could see what you see, the way that you see it. Excellent thought-provoking comment.
Hi Gary and Mr Cameraman Oh Wow i never thought you would find the HPMS, that's what we call it here. The wife and i go here a great deal as they allow the dogs in even if covered in Sand. Have a few boring facts about my life at the end of this review. This place is amazing and the pie's to die for, i once asked how they get the mash so amazing, i was told 'Only butter and a potato ricer.' All the meat in the pies is locally sourced and so good., your score was bang on. Chris. PS - Henderson's sauce is made in Sheffield and just one below Worcestershire sauce, my mother in law used to work there. Camp coffee i still drink it (made with milk only) its a concentrated syrup which is flavoured with coffee and chicory, and yes you don't add sugar unless your a sugar junkie.
Charming olde-worlde restaurant with 'real' food...can't complain about that!!!... I would probably have chosen the bread/butter pudding but the roly-poly looked good!.. It immediately made me think of school days...and that is a compliment! .. .I was at school back in the good old days when school lunches were freshly cooked on the premises and the puddings were the best part!
Oh mate, that’s killing me. You selected the same options as me, and boy, did they look good!! Unfortunately I can’t get up to Whitby, but if I did, that establishment would be my first stop. That’s simple, but delicious British food at it’s very finest, and is on a par with any foreign food when it’s done as well as that. (proper stick to your ribs fayre) Your score is fair, but based upon the overall excellence of the food and service, I have to still give it a 10! Superb review as ever, and incredibly entertaining, thank you. 🙏🏻
That pie looked great😍 I think I would have gone for the bread and butter puds myself, especially if it was well done on top. Great review again Garry👍
What a lovely old fashioned place for us oldies...great ambience...pie n mash yummy..jam roly poly for me please( yes thick custard a must..for me )..good old School dinner stuff..ty for sharing Gary..great vlog as always🎉
Thanks for this, Gary. My wife and I have visited here several times and each time had to join an ever growing queue waiting for the place to,open. We were not disappointed! Steak and kidney pie, mash, peas and gravy … absolutely superb! Value for money, lovely environment - 10/10 no hesitation!
Maybe I have simple tastes Gaz,but if I lived in this area I would most def be visiting this Rest a few times in a month! U had the quality of Pie,Mash& Peas ( I always like some Carrot,Corn& Greenbeans or I'm good wth Beans) and the Jam Roly& Custard,a Mug of coffee ( And that's something I've never heard of?)A simple but really nice Meal& the excellent ambience was most certainly a ' A trip down memory lane' So this is a certain 9.5 for me! Great Job as always👍🇨🇮☘️
Hi there Gaz. What a fantastic plate of food 🎉. Also, I really enjoy your work and, for me, it's a great breath of fresh air, to see a proper food review. Absolutely T for tremendous 👏 👍🍷🥧 . Regards Andrew 🎉
(173) That food looked fantastic, and it WAS. Glad you had a great experience, and personally, I don't mind if someone uses custard powder. When I lived in NZ, pretty much every household had a box of Edmond's Custard Powder in their pantry. Thanks for the upload, Gary. Quirky eateries like this deserve more recognition, its not just a pie & mash shop, its a living piece of history.
Wow! That looks absolutely delicious 😊😋 Thank you so very much for a superb review again. Hardly surprised you have a lovely smile on your face with that delectable meal. What a fabulous place. Its incredible inside, so very interesting. Thank you so very much. x
The pie looked absolutely fantastic probably the best pie I’ve seen on a video I wish I was having this tonight. The dessert also looked extremely nice excellent recommendation.
After a stressful day of work, Gary’s videos are a great way to unwind and be transported to wherever he is. Just love these videos and look forward to them every day.
This was fabulous Gary! I don't quite date back to the 30's but I definitely do date back to the late 40's/50's and this reminded me of the sort of place my parents took me to as a child, so very nostalgic. I love that there's a growing respect for the sort of foods we ate back then. It's brilliant when done right and that was definitely done right! Trust me, custard was always made from powder back then, unless it was a baked egg custard. That did look a little bit watery though, for sure. Needed a little more body! The rating? For nostalgia I'd give it a 10/10 but I absolutely trust you when you say the custard was a bit tasteless and thin, and I'll deduct half a point for that, so an overall 9.5! Loved this review Gary. It's so good to be in a restaurant with character and a vibe all of its own. Thank you so much for choosing this one!
I have to say that looked really nice. I was born and raised in London but I go with gravy every time with pie n mash. If I ever find myself in Whitby, Humble Pie will defiantly get a visit from me. Very fair and balanced review as always Gary and big shout to your anonymous cameraman.
Hi Gary, after a disastrous day today, this as made my evening 😊❤ thank you for another great honest and down to earth review 😊❤, I would have gone for the Bread and Butter pudding every time 😊❤, though that Jam Roly Poly looked delicious 😋 keep up the good work Gary and Mr Cameraman 😊❤
Mmmmm, jam roll poly for me! That was a cheerful review. The smile on your face showed you were having a good time 😊 I would forgo the camp coffee... yuk
That was fabulous Gary. The Pie & Mash was a definite 10/10 and you probably would’ve given a perfect score for the Jam Rolly-Polly, but for the custard. Wonderful experience, loved the gentle background music and top notch service, etc. Delicious. Many thanks for sharing this presentation with us 💎💎💎
Looking forward to this. The intro section music is just perfect, makes all the difference to the ambience of this video based on location and subject matter ! / Goodness me, this whole video is the definition of comfort food! The pie / gravy et al and now the pudding - amazing. Great video Gary. Mark.
Camp coffee is a mix of coffee and chicory..me'n'hubby used to drink it many moons ago when we first married..70's..went on to different coffee..and tried it again recently..not our cuppa anymore..😱..thanks for the vlog..👍
Good value for the money. Not a pastry lover but do like the contents, normally. The Camp coffee brought back memories. When I was very young, probably 8 or 9, I used to make a coffee fudge cake using Camp coffee. Didn’t realise it was still around! Another lovely review, Gary!
What a lovely quirky place gary. Food looks delicious my kind of food. Good old fashion food. Thanks for the review gary you certainly enjoyed the food. 10/10 from me 👍👍👍
Camp coffee reminds me of my times with my Grandad- full of sugar and the Chicory finnish!.The Pie Gary with mash and gravy truly looked 10/10 for me! For a sit down meal in nostalga looked excellent glad you went their a lovely review many thanks......
Mid April up to York with my daughter, by train, then a bus day trip to Whitby. F&C but a spanner in the works is now the pie, what to do. Maybe the Pie. Always Drakes F&C in York. Growing up we were a Tea family but we had a bottle of Camp, thats well before all thease coffee outlets of today. We thought thats what coffee tastes like, chicory, makes it. But then my first day trip to Calais real coffee. Must buy a bottle of Camp, make a coffee, close my eyes and think back to the 50`s. Ps Love the fact that the Union Flag is shown, unlike London.
So bizarre you’ve just been to Whitby, I’m off there in the morning. Going to give Humble pie n mash a go. Thanks for the recommendation. Love the videos as always!
@@mountainclawoutdoors must be tinned sliced peaches along with some of the juice and only tinned evaporated milk. The peach juice mixed with the thick, sweet milk is a delight. Not to everyone's taste but many love it. Reminds me of childhood.
Evening Gary This is the sort of pie shop I like not the one with liquor and eels etc Can't eat that but this pie is just up my street!. I voted for Jam Roly Poly every time! You cant beat the traditional food! NIce and Hot too. You cant beat "Home Made" I would give it 10/10 even with the custard and you gave it 9 1/2/10 ! No Gary think you should change it to 10! But your the one eating it! Great vlog loved this one thank you Gar Suex
Hi Gary, it's one of my favourite places for a nice pie and mash. But in summer it can be very busy, so usually we go there towards of winter/spring. It's really traditional comfort food for me and I really enjoy it every time we go there. The pies are to die for, the mash is always perfectly executed and the gravy goes perfectly with the pies. In my database it will always be a ten out ten. You made me extremely hungry now, so I think I need to cook up something comfort foodish!! 🙂🙂😁😁 Another fantastic review, mate, keeping up the fabulous work! Have yourself a wonderful rest of your day and hopefully we'll speak soon, mate!! 😊
Hi Frank. Glad to know you also enjoy going, it’s a wonderful place full of history and that’s my type of place. All the best and hope you’re doing well 👍🏼👍🏼
@@GaryEats getting better, took my motorbike out of for a run the other day, just from where we live to Rickmansworth and back. Only putting the good leg on the ground, but I needed a bit of time to myself. It was a bit cold and rainy, but worth it and after a shower, I felt like a new human being again.
Absolutely fantastic, awesome vlog, best pie n mash place ever. I will be there this weekend, heading back to Scotland. Hope you got the jam Roly-poly. Brilliant! Not had any Pie n Mash in London yet, been here nearly 8 years, need to go and try somewhere. I gave it 10/10, its awesome, truly the best, all must go and try. I've been loads of times. Cheers Gary!
I have only just found your channel this week Gary and I have been going through your old reviews. What a lovely nostalgic place and meal this was, I could feel your joy through the screen 😊
I remember Camp's coffee(and chicory)....years ago when there was a coffee shortage and the prices went sky high, it made a comeback. From memory it was in a glass bottle, like an HP sauce bottle.
Looking forward to this one, so much. Looks like a lovely ambience. I remember my mother used to use camp coffee when she was a teenager as a line up the back of her stockings. I'll have the Roly Poly please. You look as sweet as a strawberry in that lovely jumper. Oh that gravy looks delicious 😋 Thank you for another wonderful video. My mouth is watering. ❤
Gary, in those days nobody made "proper" custard - they made either Birds or Monk & Glass. And the thin custard helped the suet pastry go down. You looked such a happy fella in there, tempted us to go !
My nanna certainly did! It's very easy and cheap to make. And custard is never good too thin or too thick, It's about consistency.. Somewhere in the middle is where it should be.
My parents got coffee plantation back in India. So I grew around coffee in western ghats. My favourite coffee is always the coffee which has chicory in it. People like 100 percent coffee but I always loved it with chicory. Only today I came to know it is called camp coffee here. Now I need to research where I can buy it. Thanks for that.
Just my cup of tea looked fantastic and the pie with chunks of beef great and buttery mash with thick gravy and peas just like my mum used to make and my dad would only drink camp coffee if he had a coffee i never liked it because i could always taste the chicory lol. like you say about the custard my mum used birds when she hadnt got time to make it from scratch even that said the jam rolly polly looked to die for, i agree a 9.5 is a fair score. Keep up the good work Gary and a pat on the back for the camera man.
Gary , From Cape Cod New England, love your videos, my little town on Cape Cod (Sandwich) was settled by 7 Englishmen and their families in 1637 , there still are examples of their lives here.. Fun watching the videos of restaurants in England and the similar foods here.
G A R Y I Loved this place! The ambiance, the superb food, the decor, the romantic rainy day….and yes, you are sweet enough! Your sweater was marvelous too. What a great episode, thx for the step back in time and wonderful choice of music. As always, Linda from Laguna Beach 💕💕🍻🍻🐳🐳🏄🏻♀️🏄🏻♀️🧜🏼♀️🧜🏼♀️
Good evening Gary 👍what a lovely little time capsule that place was,the food looked superb with a very reasonable price. If you're in a great setting with great food and the only minor problem is thin custard then it's a very good time. Exellent stuff mate✌️
That was a another great video from whitby your smashing this Gary love everything you do. Your a great reviewer honest and polite keep up the good work. 😊
I've walked past that place many times and never been in. I will be doing next time I go to Whitby. Looks amazing. There are just so many great places to eat in Whitby and the town is absolutely packed with history and character. If you ever come back that way, try the Ravenscar Tea Rooms in Ravenscar. Their Ravenscar Riser (basically a full English in a bun - and you can have it without mushrooms if you wish) is amazing and the cakes are phenomenal. Set in a lovely old station building.
Thank you for the recommendation, as we have never been there, as we always go to Mr Chips, which was behind you but we both do love a good pie, so on our next Whitby visit, we will be seeing if we enjoyed the pies and the jam roly-poly as much as you did, cheer Alan
Looked lovely and cheaper than most of yesterdays fish and chip offerings. Agreed over the custard but sure many like it like that. This is our dinner this evening but having broccoli and cauliflower instead of peas followed by apple crumble and custard 😁 You can't beat hearty food like this , we're not into summer yet so rabbit food still off the menu 🤣 Pleases me you're enjoying Northern hospitality mate 👍
Oh what a fabulous place Gary, the ambiance is delightful and peaceful, full of nostalgia, my kind of place. Pies were a joy to behold, such a variety. You enjoyed that didn't you, your face said it all. Jam roly-poly please. Oh what a shame with the custard, it has to be thick and creamy. Nine and a half is fair enough. Great review, great place. Well worth the money.
What a delightful place that is ! Incredible decor & atmosphere. Friendly staff & amazing food ! Bread & butter pudding for me. It's a 9.5 / 10 from me. So glad you decided to GIVE IT A GO Gary !
Been there, and used to work in near Michelin star London restaurants, and you are spot on with your reviews. I love that place. Simple stuff done well, and that is all it takes. Always leave with a big beaming smile. 👍 Love your channel.
What I love about this is it doesn’t try to be fancy or arty farty, it’s just a good honest plate of quality home cooked food like my old nan used to serve up for me
That’s a perfect comment Robert 👍
well said. and only three ingredients/mash, pie, peas. it takes courage, as well as quality! nice one

Now Eric that’s a dilemma I’ll let you choose lol have a great time
That looks amazing, loved the background music aswell. cheers Gary
Very very nice music. You will enjoy it!
Thanks for doing the desert Gary, much appreciated. 😊
No worries my pleasure
So bizarre you’ve just been to Whitby, I’m off there in the morning. Going to give Humble pie n mash a go. Thanks for the recommendation. Love the videos as always!
Please let me know what you think Jason I hope you enjoy 👍
Great video again gary. The restusrant looks lovely. Wow thats a well filled pie. Jam roly poly was one of the best school pudding with custard
Glad you enjoyed it Abigail. Thank you 👍🏼
Great review as ever Gary. Was in whitby myself Saturday. Lovely place to visit. Keep up the good work. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!!
It looks very nice , yes I think I would be tempted by the jam roly poly, easily a 9 plus Gary!
Thanks so much Nick
Such a warming friendly place with lovely heartwarming food gary 👍
It certainly was Marcus
That looked amazing im hungry now..well done great review Gary
Thanks so much Craig
Excellent review, Gary.
I would love to try that pie. As a dessert, tinned peaches with evaporated milk would be my ideal.
Peaches and milk
Hmm, that was recommended before
Guess I should try it
@@mountainclawoutdoors must be tinned sliced peaches along with some of the juice and only tinned evaporated milk. The peach juice mixed with the thick, sweet milk is a delight. Not to everyone's taste but many love it. Reminds me of childhood.
Thank you so much!
@@camriley just making sure, evaporated and not condensed?
Evening Gary This is the sort of pie shop I like not the one with liquor and eels etc Can't eat that but this pie is just up my street!. I voted for Jam Roly Poly every time! You cant beat the traditional food! NIce and Hot too. You cant beat "Home Made" I would give it 10/10 even with the custard and you gave it 9 1/2/10 ! No Gary think you should change it to 10! But your the one eating it! Great vlog loved this one thank you Gar Suex
Maybe a little harsh on this one Sue but I did highly recommend x
@@GaryEats Yes you did Gary so I will let you off! x
Looks brilliant I love a proper pie! Another one on my list for Whitby in July cheers Gary!
You enjoy Paul have a great time
Beautiful homely setting . 9.5 sounds right , that plate of dinner made my mouth water .
Thank you for watching Shahid 😋
Thank you so much and cheers!
Good video, Gary. Thanks.
Thanks!
I have only just found your channel this week Gary and I have been going through your old reviews. What a lovely nostalgic place and meal this was, I could feel your joy through the screen 😊
I really loved this one Caroline and the food was so good, I really appreciate you watching thank you x
I’d like to give that place a go! Looks right up my alley. Excellent review, Gary as always 😊
It’s well worth a visit thank you 😊
I remember Camp's coffee(and chicory)....years ago when there was a coffee shortage and the prices went sky high, it made a comeback. From memory it was in a glass bottle, like an HP sauce bottle.
That’s exactly right Neil
With a Highlander and an Indian soldier sitting in front of a tent as I recall
Looking forward to this one, so much. Looks like a lovely ambience. I remember my mother used to use camp coffee when she was a teenager as a line up the back of her stockings. I'll have the Roly Poly please. You look as sweet as a strawberry in that lovely jumper. Oh that gravy looks delicious 😋 Thank you for another wonderful video. My mouth is watering. ❤
Thank you. Finally someone loves my jumper - the cameraman hated it 🤣
It really suits you. A great colour on you. You must wear it more often. Many thanks again for brightening my dismal day x
You have given me back my faith in British cooking....homemade British cooking. Great review, and as usual, thanks for taking us along. Appreciated.
Hope you’re doing ok and have a better day tomorrow
Anytime Jeff
Gary, in those days nobody made "proper" custard - they made either Birds or Monk & Glass. And the thin custard helped the suet pastry go down. You looked such a happy fella in there, tempted us to go !
My nanna certainly did! It's very easy and cheap to make. And custard is never good too thin or too thick, It's about consistency.. Somewhere in the middle is where it should be.
It has to have skin. We kids fought over the skin
Oh it was wonderful. Please do give it a go!
@@humdumdiggdy Yes !!🤣
I agree about the 'thin' custard.
Now that’s a plate of food! Looked delicious mate. Thanks as ever, Gary. Keep up the good work 👍👍
Very kind Danny thank you
Food of the Gods . Super Nostalgic. Thanks Gary ! Jim
Jim this was so good 👍
My parents got coffee plantation back in India. So I grew around coffee in western ghats. My favourite coffee is always the coffee which has chicory in it. People like 100 percent coffee but I always loved it with chicory. Only today I came to know it is called camp coffee here. Now I need to research where I can buy it. Thanks for that.
You’re more than welcome 👍🏼👍🏼
Hendo's made in Sheffield, very northern and very strong, great stuff, have a bottle in the larder
Enjoyed it Dave
That pie and mash looked great Gary, the gravy looked wonderful. 😊
All round excellent meal
Just my cup of tea looked fantastic and the pie with chunks of beef great and buttery mash with thick gravy and peas just like my mum used to make and my dad would only drink camp coffee if he had a coffee i never liked it because i could always taste the chicory lol. like you say about the custard my mum used birds when she hadnt got time to make it from scratch even that said the jam rolly polly looked to die for, i agree a 9.5 is a fair score.
Keep up the good work Gary and a pat on the back for the camera man.
That’s an excellent comment with very kind comments Clive thank you very much, have a great week mate 👍
Gary , From Cape Cod New England, love your videos, my little town on Cape Cod (Sandwich) was settled by 7 Englishmen and their families in 1637 , there still are examples of their lives here.. Fun watching the videos of restaurants in England and the similar foods here.
Thank you William appreciate you watching 🇺🇸🇺🇸
G A R Y I Loved this place! The ambiance, the superb food, the decor, the romantic rainy day….and yes, you are sweet enough! Your sweater was marvelous too. What a great episode, thx for the step back in time and wonderful choice of music. As always, Linda from Laguna Beach 💕💕🍻🍻🐳🐳🏄🏻♀️🏄🏻♀️🧜🏼♀️🧜🏼♀️
Thank you so much almost a trip down memory lane, regards as always 🇺🇸x
The pie looked amazing and loved the classic vibe of the place
Superb my friend
Good evening Gary 👍what a lovely little time capsule that place was,the food looked superb with a very reasonable price. If you're in a great setting with great food and the only minor problem is thin custard then it's a very good time. Exellent stuff mate✌️
Good evening Martin. You’re spot on mate and I hope you have a fantastic week 👍🏼
That looked delicious! Love that sort of meal my favourite! Thanks Gary xx
This was so good Sarah xx
Good old fashion food that you just can't beat. You looked like you really enjoyed it
I really had a great time
It's so traditional I always loved Whitby
I love Whitby. Superb place
Simple food is the best you always finish the meal 🥘
It really is Phillip. A lovely place
@@GaryEats You should have had some English mustard with your meal
Definitely giving that a go, next time in Whitby. Looked great value 👍
Thanks Andrew. Give it a go mate!
That was a another great video from whitby your smashing this Gary love everything you do. Your a great reviewer honest and polite keep up the good work. 😊
That’s very kind thank you
Great ,been a few times never fails with a great bit of nostalgia thrown in...traditional genuine British ness cuisine.....brings back the good times
I fully agree 👍
Give 'em a go Gary - you've got nothing to lose...except a catchphrase!
Lol don't want to lose that Lee haha
Went there today but wasn’t open for another half hour!
You was right about “trenchers” fish and chips - superb. Worth the wait in the take out queue
This is brilliant to hear. Hopefully can make it 2/2 if you end up going to Humble Pie
what a great place, the real deal
Superb
I've walked past that place many times and never been in. I will be doing next time I go to Whitby. Looks amazing. There are just so many great places to eat in Whitby and the town is absolutely packed with history and character.
If you ever come back that way, try the Ravenscar Tea Rooms in Ravenscar. Their Ravenscar Riser (basically a full English in a bun - and you can have it without mushrooms if you wish) is amazing and the cakes are phenomenal. Set in a lovely old station building.
Thanks for the recommendation I will take a look 👀
Thank you for the recommendation, as we have never been there, as we always go to Mr Chips, which was behind you but we both do love a good pie, so on our next Whitby visit, we will be seeing if we enjoyed the pies and the jam roly-poly as much as you did, cheer Alan
Thanks Alan. This was excellent
Jam roly poly everytime.
Pie looked nice for just under 12 quid valued well.👍🏻
Great review as always Gary 😁
Thanks Rob and good choice, top man 👍
As always let's give it a go, truly outstanding pie n mash gary
Oh yes mate. How you doing?
@GaryEats good thanks, enjoying your food vlogs, keep up the amazing work
Top man. Thank you 👍🏼
Gaz that was 1939 custard mate, don't you know there's a war on? Lol Great review as always
Lol Brian. Brilliant - thanks mate
One of the best comfort foods out there is a quality pie, and that looked yummy, great vid as always Gary.
Thank you Andy this was a lovely restaurant with quality food and excellent service
Excellent review Gary, looked like an amazing meal & your face said it all! Thanks!
It’s a brilliant restaurant Fitz thank you
Basic British food like this is seriously underrated.
It really is. Completely agree 👍🏼
Another stunning video Gary. Everyone makes me smile.
Thanks a lot Paul. It means a lot mate
As always, let's give it a go. Congrats on 62.6K, Gary. Best wishes as ever xxx.
Thanks so much Paul. How you doing?
Pleasure, pal. Feeling rough, unfortunately. Thanks for checking on me, Gary xxx.
Sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better soon
Thank you xxx.
Top review again Gary ! Also best jumper I’ve seen so far, wonderful 👌
lol thank you very much
Jam roly poly
9 half , loose half apoint for the custard, rest of the meal perfect meal 😊
Superb choice
Looked lovely and cheaper than most of yesterdays fish and chip offerings.
Agreed over the custard but sure many like it like that.
This is our dinner this evening but having broccoli and cauliflower instead of peas followed by apple crumble and custard 😁
You can't beat hearty food like this , we're not into summer yet so rabbit food still off the menu 🤣
Pleases me you're enjoying Northern hospitality mate 👍
Whitby is such a friendly town. Everybody was incredibly friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Have had some excellent times in the north!
It was delicious and delightful Anne, I enjoyed this so much, so much nostalgia, have a great week 👍
What a delightful place that is ! Incredible decor & atmosphere. Friendly staff & amazing food ! Bread & butter pudding for me. It's a 9.5 / 10 from me. So glad you decided to GIVE IT A GO Gary !
Very kind Robert a brilliant little restaurant with top service
Been there, and used to work in near Michelin star London restaurants, and you are spot on with your reviews. I love that place. Simple stuff done well, and that is all it takes.
Always leave with a big beaming smile.
👍
Love your channel.
Very kind to say, I really enjoyed this one Ben
