Wow what a super clean, well built, 88 GT. Love the engine and engine bay, a lot of man hours spent on this one. What a great looking car, Thanks Matt.
I was amazed when I saw this car at foxtoberfest & glad I was able to talk to Dom about it. Hats off to him for a knocking it out in the time he did. So glad you did a review on this car.
What a nice build and Dom is a great guy! Met him at Ford Takeover. Funny how you can talk to someone at a show and not realize you've been following and chatting with them on IG forever haha! Really Great Video Review Matt!
You of all poeple know how much it takes to get these cars to a certain level even just daily driver level, would love to see more down to earth maybe even still in the resto process cars. I like that you give people their 15 mins but would still like to see more of your cars. Love the channel long time subscriber!
@@GearHead704 I’ve watched almost all your videos since April 2021 I’m def caught up your review videos are amazing and vids with 5.0 resto are great I wanna see more your car!!! Do a review video of your own car I wanna see your thoughts and your wife’s thoughts on it overall
Absolutely GORGEOUS Mustang and, without a doubt, one I would be extremely proud of & couldn't help putting WAY too many miles on it then I should... but, I figure it this way, I'd be building it to drive as much as possible, not admire it from afar. P. S. that color and engine are perfect.
I love this car it's beautiful I love the dark shadow gray with the Chrome 03 04 cobras it just completely goes together and like you were saying with the Chrome and the carbon fiber it kind of just goes perfect with that car I'm not a big fan of it but in this fox I would definitely have to say it goes great! I used to have a 92 that was a similar color with chrome bullit wheels on it and it had a 331 that was built pretty badass & a tremec... I had to SLOW50 on the license plate LOL!!! it was pretty quick tho! Another great video Matt thanks for covering all the stuff that some of us miss bro!
I thought he would be wound pretty tight at the end of a quarter mile with those gears! It was neat that he happened to confirm. It would have been a shame if it came apart in that nice engine bay! Sweet car!!
clean and connected as absolute F--the grey and the polished and the carbon fiber aren't fighting against each other and work with the smoked 'lights, too. I wonder what black spoked Bullitt rims would look. the modern 5.0 badges are a sweet touch, too. And doing this in a storage chamber with cold weather? gosh, i remember being that young....:) I had to laugh when he said, "not much rust" and then listed all that had to get redone. Living in the snow belt does that to you--not much rust means you can't drop a bowling ball thru most of the sheetmetal.
If I was to invest the money for a 347 to reach 400 horse I'd rather invest a little more and start off with a 351 Windsor . Then move to a 408 to reach 500-600 horse
@@hunternewby5727 The hood is called the Cowl & unless you're doing a aftermarket Block . On a stock block you run issues with the top ring due to how high the piston rises + you're getting 99,000 miles till refresh . I'd go with a 331 set up . MUCH better & lasts longer especially with a turbo or power adders . When it comes to the brakes those upgrades aren't necessary for the street . If you want to run in Street Outlaws or have a 1/4 mile track car then those upgrades are needed so why spend all that flow unnecessarily ?
But I hope if I ever get a Fox body In my lifetime I wanna make it as clean as this guy has his butt I still wanna make it similar if not exactly like my dad's 1992 original Strawberry red notchback Mustang
Sweet. I had an 88 GT with around 300hp with tfs heads and E303 cam and such, and 86 SVO and a 92 GT. These are decent cars and last pretty good. My biggest problem was traction... I hated getting beat by turning 4 AWD cars with half the power lol. Check out why I chose the 335xi as a platform! ruclips.net/video/ZRhA7_fMSjk/видео.html
@@midnight347 bahahahqhq dude go get a clue. U couldn’t get sticky enough tires to put that much power down unless you’re talking about slicks, and I don’t drive around with slicks on… smh.
400 wheel from a 347 is decent. You can get much higher with a less streetable setup. Not everyone wants absolute max peak power they want something that has a broad power curve and good average power aka a good street motor.
18 months, that's dedication... And a thick wallet 😂
LOL, super dedicated for sure.
@@GearHead704 ask him if he wants to sell it
I'm sure that fox slimmed his wallet down a little bit. 😅
Dom,really has a unique insight for his build, the interior is well designed, gauges compliment the look, not to mention engine bay nicely done.
Couldn't agree more!

So much work, but well worth it. Thanks for the support as always Paul.
One of the most tastefully done fox bodies I've ever seen, damn I would love to have this thing!
Definitely agreed

I think it's ok either way. Just depends on what you're going for.
Then add hood clearance, brake clearance, more expensive intake. If you’re not racing, a 347 is a great platform.
