This is great, now if I can increase the speed ten times, I can play along with Paul Butterfield ; )
Good stuff man 👍🏼
I want to thank you for putting sheet music along with the tabs. It's been a long time since I've read sheet music (trumpet, elementary school for only one year but I do remember how to read it) and it's great to have it there so I can tell the spacing between the notes and I can work out a section relatively close to correct before I TRY and play along. Wish I had found this about a year ago. Thanks to the lessons and tabs you're putting out, my progress is starting to pick up at a nice pace. Keep em coming for they are greatly appreciated.
+Richard G. Hi Richard, really glad that you find the tabs helpful. I will definitely keep them coming :-)
+Richard G. It is my pleasure Richard

fine lesson. btw on youtube there is an old tv show from the US where people had to guess what kind of profession people did. In one the team had to guess the profession of the (then still unknown) Paul Butterfield :-) Cannot find it anymore

Thank you for the lessons. Can you please tell me what you hear in your headphones? Only backingtrack or also your harmonica? Thanks for helping me.
you should do a harmonica lesson I Walked the line by johny cash
+nash de la nuez I'll check it out ;-)
@Tomlin Leckie Thanks man! Its reaaaallllyyy hard to find good or even decent tab tutorials on internet for harps, if you could ceep such songs, licks, riffs coming, new harpers would love you to deaths, ;D
Also, could you make a tutorial on Harp Position tabs above 3rd position?
Its impossible to find them on the internet, i tell you
+Pspisripoff no problem - I do a lesson every week so no danger of you running out :-) I'll do a lesson on more positions also ;-)
That would be amasing! Thank you! :)
Well, if you run out of ideas of what you could make a tutorial about, relating to harps, you can ask me, i got like 100 things that, me and any other beginer struggles finding on the internet, haha
how about orange blossom special lesson with change in harps
+William Swanger excellent tune William, it is on my list of requests :-)
Will the harp solo of Middle of the Road Pretenders ever be taught?
thank you for share your art, a question ¿where are the notation explained? thanky uoy so much all the best
A down arrow means a draw (sucking) an up arrow means a blow. An arrow with a short line next to it and a number 1 means a whole step draw. Likewise, a number 1/2 means a half step draw.
Tomlin, speaking of Butterfield, his version of Drown in My Own Tears has loads of licks from which to be stolen. Because of the comples changes (viz. Diminished) it would make for an advanced lesson.
Nice thought - I'll add it to the list :-)
have you got just the backing track so we can practice over it.
+Harmonica noobs hiya, yes just click on the link in the description below and go down to the audio clip section.
There is another and easier way to do 'throat vibrato'. Just move the harp on your lips a little bit but not enough to introduce other notes. It works just as well. And for just 49.95 I will also teach you how bad it is for you to eat tomatoes.
where can I get the backing track for this lesson?
my harmonica D and when i blow it sound like shit, when he blow it sound like saxophone ... :C
Would've been nice to hear you play the whole song at the end 🥴 however thanks good job👍
Tomlin can I make a suggestion can you write the articulation for all the notes. The articulation is the missing part of all harmonica teaching. Not just by you but, by all harmonica teachers that I've seen. This is not a criticism, it's an observation. Learning when to articulate and when not to articulate or what type of articulation, is not taught. If it were the learning curve would be far easier and shorter. Might not make anyone a world class harp player but, would certainly help in making us more competent harp players.
Are down arrows blow and up arrows breath? What do you mean "2 draw"? Thanks
+R T down arrows are in-breaths (draw) and up arrows are blow notes
Thans, now I just cannot get that 2half bend out..:(
Is it possible to play it on a C hamornica?
+Igor Fernandes Igor, you can play on any key harmonica. You just need to make sure that the band changes key as well.
***** Thank you, keep up the great work
No download is available.
Ohh have not got a D harp. What a pity....
Hi Tomlin - Great lesson. I clicked on the link for the tab but have not received it. I am subscribed. Can you double check for me?
Hi Betty, have you checked your spam folder? Let me know if it isn’t in there. Send me an email :-)
Yes I have it now. Thanks! Great lessons. Please keep them coming!
i have a big problem, my lip don't stay wet so after 3 or 4 note it stick and i can't finish...piss off
Hi Francois, I'm sorry to hear about this. It is a really common problem and usually means that you are placing the outside of your lips on the harp. Instead, you should place the inside of your lips (the wet part) on the harmonica. This will keep you nice and lubricated. Let me know how you get on. :-)
thank you, it is better, now i have to change the bad habit a had. I'll keep practicing. Thank for your work it's really helpful.
much better
