JB you look good in a Ford my friend! The Ford super duty are amazing trucks. Love the platinum. I ordered a 24 F350 Tremor Platinum 6.7 high output, no sunroof
JB, great video! I'll admit Ford is killing it right now in the HD market. And when you compare all 3 manufacturers at the higher trim levels they are beautiful trucks. The biggest drawback for me on the Ford, are the windows, the drop down is distracting for me. And the supply chain issues are killing their availability. The biggest thing for the Ram is the price and the fact that they refuse to make much needed updates to stay competitive in the market. This is where Ford and GM dominate, by offering so much more truck with better standard options. But when I purchased my new truck after viewing all the videos I had to go with GM. Hands down, for options, price, and availability they lead the way!
Love this video! That is the exact truck I would like to get. I went from a Ford F250 to a 2023 GMC 3500 Denali Dually and I just don’t like the IFS. It just feels clunky. I thought I could get used to it but after 12k miles it still feels the same, clunky.
Without the winch, this is a $10K discount on the truck vs the F450($96K vs $105K). You really need to be towing and working that F450 to justify it. Yes, the tires are commercial-grade, so you'll certainly be paying accordingly. The F450 also has different brakes and suspension components than ths 350, and of course, all of that has to be baked in on the maintenance side of things.
450 brakes are larger....suspension is basically the same. G rated tires are more expensive, but will last longer. Axle shafts are thicker on the 450. Equipped exactly the same, the 450 is a few hundred pounds heavier....giving the 350 a higher payload by that amount... Subjectively, after owning multiple F-350's, the turning radius is the number 1 reason I will always have a 450 from here on out.... The price difference is miniscule similarly equipped....diesel to diesel, both trucks need to be worked...being a diesel 350 doesn't magically change that.
@@hellkitty1014 My '12 350 SRW was sold at a fair price after 7 years of faithful service.....bought a '19 350 SRW. The '19 350 SRW was a great truck..... when covid hit, I sold it private private to COVER the cost of an ordered F-450. The '22 450 took 8 months to arrive after ordered. Flipped it for a ridiculous amount after my '23 450 arrived....took aprox. 7 months. '24 is currently on order....rinse and repeat if the 450 inventory stays low...if not, I'll suffer with the '23... NEVER seen a 450 weigh more than 300 pounds over a 350 when optioned the same....@ a 14,000 pound GVWR, that will be the difference in payload. Have run my all my trucks through Allstate....the '19 350 SRW was maybe a couple hundred dollars a year cheaper than my '23 450...more to do with age and value than rating. G rated tires are more expensive....they also last longer. Turning radius of the 450 cannot be debated.
2023 6.7 greatly improved the engine brake… some say better than Ram, others say Ram better. Little different operation between the 2. Either way, 2023-2024 has better Engine Brake than previously.
They r all 14k lb gvwr because that is the limit for govt regulations... its just paper. Dually has 2k lbs more real payload over a srw Thats the same on all brands...
If you get a 2024 f350 with 4:10 rear, in most gooseneck configurations it has a higher tow capacity than the f450... Boy, I wish ford had an exhaust brake like the Rams. Then ford would be pretty unbeatable in towing.
JB, Question,, Of all the Trucks you have viewed, and this Question is to your fans(Country hard boys) Which Diesel Truck over Ford, Chey, Ram etc etc would you suggest to haul Livestock with ''goose-neck hitch'' is the best, just to know we in IRELAND would not be hauling thousands of miles(km) on big roads like you guys, we basically would be farm to livestock-mart, a long journey for us would be 100miles and only if Pedigree show but normal fatstock mart half that distance, thanks all, Liam in IRELAND
A snap on plastic rear fender on a $100k truck is flat embarrassing! Sonar sensors and camera are already getting ripped off on trucks when stuff slides across, awful idea
I’m pretty sure a 450 is actually a little cheaper than an identically equipped 350 drw. You need to add in the gooseneck prep on the 350 which is standard on the 450. Yes the 350 will have slightly more payload but the 450 is cheaper as a package when you weigh out the price of both trucks option for option. When it come to gear ratios, the 4.10 in the 350 is only roughly 1.5mpg harder on fuel on the highway than a truck equipped with 3.55 ratio. The 3.55 truck is very lazy compared to the 4.10 truck. I went from a 2019 F-350 drw with 4.10 and traded to a 2023 F-350 drw with 3.55. Even with the 10 speed in the 2023, the 2019 was much happier towing grades. A 450 with 4.30 is very close to a 350 with 4.10 due to larger tire diameter on the 450. Just my observation.
Title little misleading… agree F450 a better overall package. It’s little less payload than F350 due to legal 14000 "cap", but more capable handling more weight in design; and F450 w 6.7 HO has higher tow rate. Overall stronger than other 1 Tons. Hadn’t heard the Insurance Commercial rating issue, if they did that they should also class it higher for higher payload limitations (that won’t happen). Plenty reasons F450 beats the F350 to remain top choice.

Why would someone remove the massage seats on a platinum 🤔
I think the grill is the same on dually trucks on all trims and the same on SRW trucks. That is why you are seeing a difference in the grills.
Hey JB why you look 👀 always so good a Diesel Ford Super Duty truck man

@@johnpeters9793 I completely agree and I had I found a 450 for MSRP within 1000 miles, I would've likely bought it over my Ram 4500 Limited.

Beautiful truck! I've never driven an f450 before. I've only had 1 ton duallys most of my adult life. I would like to see the difference.
The turning radius of 450 is a selling point vs 350.... the ride quality of the 350 wins over 450.
Agreed. The 450 is a beast under towing because of its maneuverability, but when unladen the ride quality somewhat suffers.
The new super duty grille and headlights look like crap liked the 2022 style better

Why the white letter tires in 2023?
Some of us old schoolers like white letters.
What’s the exhaust brake like compared to Cummins, I want to see some exhaust brake action in the new fords

Do you prefer the King Ranch or the Platinum? If you could only choose one

A $8k-$12k difference in a $100k truck? C’mon. That’s nothing. No difference in payment.
