  • 🇺🇲An American Unionist song dedicated to the American civil war which lasted from 1861 to 1865. It was the Unionists(the ones who won) Who were more socially liberal for the time and economically stronger against the more ultra conservative even for their time, Confederates.

    This song was also very popular during the Mexican War of 1846, and the Span-Am War of 1898. I appreciate the painting of the 4th Alabama (now the 1-167th ARNG) at 1:27! 🎉❤

      Probably out of touch if you're probably talking about the "we'll feel gay" part. It used to mean very happy back then. Now it means that even if you are a male, you wanna suck it🗿💀
