There are lots of things it could be...how you’re prepping your skin, the application method, the brushes you’re using, if you’re using the Perfector too wet, or even using the wrong colors. Found this makeup on TikTok. Loved what I saw but wanted to find someone in my age range who wears it as well. I have the colors for Level 1 colors in my cart along with a brush and a case. I am very fair skinned with dark hair. So I feel like I’m safe with level one colors. It’s alot of money but wanting to bite the bullet and get this make up.

    • @facingthefifties
      @facingthefifties  2 года назад +1

      Hi Heather! I’ll be 53 in November….have used this for close to 3 years now and still love it! If you try the Level I’s and notice that it’s enhancing texture, that means it’s too light. One thing I’ve learned over the years is to go a shade darker with mature skin. It can make all the difference…Also know that there is a 30 day return policy and they allow some limited shade swaps in the collections, so hopefully that will be helpful.
      Also, something I try to tell everyone is if you’re interested in earning credits for free products, have your Artist open you a party/rewards link. You don’t have to actually have a party, you can use it like a “frequent shopper” rewards card.
      Thanks for watching!

    • @facingthefifties
      @facingthefifties  2 года назад +1

      Hi Victoria! Thank you for your kind compliment :). Great question about settling in wrinkles. I have a few fine lines/wrinkles, more like "crows feet" around my eyes. It can settle a bit if you use too much or don't set with a light powder. The KEY that I tell any clients with wrinkles is to use the Perfector sponge....it really helps remove any excess so there is much less of a chance of it settling. Thanks for watching!

      @@facingthefifties I subscribed so I'll be able to watch your new videos that come up. I've never been good at eyeliner on the top lid. Waterline sure, the hood, eh not so much. With the hotline brush and black Friday I actually can do it ... Even the cat eye look is something I've never been able to make look good on me until Seint.
      So I REALLY went out on a limb but man did it pay off. I'm 35 and find your videos far better then the younger ladies or anyone in my age range. After all I'll be 50 one day, might has well gain the know how while I'm younger. I've been using Seint Beauty (formally known as Mascara Beauty) for about a year now. I. Found it through FB and haven't looked back since. My artist is thinking about quitting and since I deleted FB I'm not sure if I have to have an artist or not. Only other place I can think to find one is RUclips.....I must say> I've gotten so good at color matching myself that I picked my own 2 shades for summer. (Main Highlight/Light Highlight) I'm not as pale given the fact it's summer, I'm not as lucky as some 😅 I need 4 shades throughout the year. 😂 Any advice about buying it without a artist and or are you taking on customers if the site doesn't work like that?

    • @facingthefifties
      @facingthefifties  3 года назад +1

      Ha! I use 4-5 shades sometimes, too! I love mixing and playing with the colors. So, you can technically purchase without an artist. One thing to consider is, if you do that, you can't open a party/rewards link and earn credit with each purchase towards future orders. Typically people think about having traditional or online "parties" where you invite friends.....however, I offer all of my clients the opportunity to open their own "party", then they just use that link anytime they order, so they can rack up some rewards. That isn't an option if you order directly from corporate. If your Artist quits, I'd be more than happy to have you as a client. There are a couple of ways to transfer your account to me. You can either use a different email and create a new account linked to me, or you can contact corporate to cancel your current one, then you could keep your same email and open one under me. I'm totally not trying to steal you away, but if your Artist quits, I'm happy to have you :).

      @@facingthefifties Thank you!!! That sounds awesome! Ya she's done and I will NEVER download or use Facebook again so you being on here is my best option. I don't have any video requests persay but taken as a grain of salt I got some advice... Think about using Rumble along with RUclips it's the future and you make money off views the same way. More and more people are switching and if uploading a video why not just do it twice for maximum reach and revenue. I have both apps and honestly if I become your customer Id eventually only be on RUclips to see you're videos. So many people are joining Rumble. Here soon RUclips will be as dead as myspace. Same for Facebook. Im 35 and old enough to have had Facebook back when it was called (THE Facebook) and not just FACEBOOK long before the revamp and I can tell you their days are numbered and so is RUclips. But until then why not make double money by views while reaching people who have sworn off RUclips and Facebook. I have Rumble so even though I'm on RUclips I still have an account and watch people who have been banned or just won't make accounts on RUclips anymore. Just advice and a heads up regardless I'll still pop on to view your videos and soon possibly be your customer. How can you look at a picture and pick our colors?

    • @facingthefifties
      @facingthefifties  Год назад

      Hi Renee! It definitely takes practice. First, I have to make sure the picture sent to me looks like it was done in good, natural lighting. Then I do my best to determine the depth of color on the skin. The big thing for me to look at is any discolorations/concerns. If someone tells me they are concerned about redness, I look to see how deep the redness is. Then, depending on if they want light or full coverage, I give them my best opinion on the colors/combos that should work best. There are really a ton of variables that can go in to it. I have color matched hundreds of clients, and have learned from them. I've also got a library of hundreds of examples that I can compare to. It's certainly not as easy as matching in person, and I've definitely made some mistakes along the way, but can usually get pretty close. Thankfully many of the colors are "forgiving", meaning I can wear several different colors & combinations. Thanks for the question!!!

      Hi Sherrie! My compact is a mix of things that were in my Artist kit, things I bought, and things I got for free with party credits. There are 2 kits. The smaller one contains: 19 tins (mixture of highlight/contour/lip & cheek/illuminator, etc). It also has 2 brushes, a Perfector sponge, and 3 palettes.
      The large kit has 23 tins (same mixture as above), 6 brushes, 12 eyeshadows, 4 palettes, and a moisturizer.
      Thanks for the question :). If I can answer anything else, just let me know. ~Deanne

    • @facingthefifties
      @facingthefifties  2 года назад +1

      Hi Marsha! You’re right. You can use the same brush for highlight and contour. I just wipe mine on a paper towel or one of the SEINT microfiber cloths in between colors. Since you only need a minimal amount in the brush, it doesn’t get all muddy….and the colors really blend/melt together on the face. Let me know if you have any more questions :)!

    I'm approaching 40 and live in a beach town....I'm thinking powders are not the way to go because of fine lines and such....how does the cream makeup settle into fine lines and such? I have asked a few influencers with this brand and haven't received a response. Are you available for questions, please!?!?

    • @facingthefifties
      @facingthefifties  2 года назад

      Hi Ashleigh! This is a great question and I'm happy to answer anything I can :). I am 52 and have found VERY few powders that work well on my skin. When dealing with fine lines, there are a few things to keep in mind.
      1. Less is more - because liquids/creams have a tendency to want to "settle" in fine lines, we want to use as little as possible. The nice thing about these creams is that they are HIGHLY pigmented, so you only have to use a tiny amount.
      2. Only put the creams where you need them - regardless of what the marketing people say, NO makeup (regardless of brand/type) will "cover" fine lines/wrinkles. So, my advice is that if you don't have a discoloration/dark area where the fine lines are, then don't use it there. It certainly can't settle if it's not there :)
      3. Setting with a powder is ok, as long as it is the right type of powder and is used sparingly. I have fine lines on the outside of my eyes (they crinkle when I smile). Since I use a tiny tap of our foundation there to brighten my face, I make sure to set it with a little bit of translucent setting powder, so that everything stays where it should. I 100% recommend using the perfector sponge to remove excess before setting.
      Sorry if this sounds like a lot....it's really not, once you get used to applying our creams. Thanks so much for the great question! I have had it on my list of videos to actually address this, so I should probably get around to filming that!
      Let me know if you have any more questions! You can always email me at facingthefifties@gmail.com.

    • @facingthefifties
      @facingthefifties  3 года назад

      Hi Jennifer! It's a little hard to answer that without seeing a picture...the color(s) depend on how dark the brown spots are, and what your skin tone is. Sometimes it's a combination of colors, for example, I used Mango, then layered Candlelit over it.
