Optimus actually DID have 2 guns in Revenge of The Fallen. He had 2 guns when he & Bumblebee saved Sam from Megatron & Starscream.

omg it is just a smaller leader class version. The perfect thing i want it has no backpack on the back like the movie 2007 voyager.
I would prefer this them the leader. I like optimus not to be huge compare to the other autobots. He's a leader not a tyrant. So I fell him being so much bigger. It's kinda weird. For Megatron it makes sense. He's this huge robots. But I normally get voagaers
It's a shame Hasbro dropped the ball by producing inferior Voyager Class Optimus Prime figures after this one. Granted, the new AOE Evasion Mode figure is good, but nowhere near the same quality as Battle Blades Optimus Prime.
Thankfully the Studio series figures have fixed that problem

@@Jetix34 welp,Look it by yourself.Scaling.A lot of people has complaint about optimus scale.Too small.Second,Kibble.I know that HFTD prime backpack was big,but its accurate and can be fixed.Unlike SS,Nah.Third,the look at the figure is not even accurate.Lower smoke stacks,and,theres too much for me to explain.How they can say "we make a movie accurate design toys".And then when people complaint about the figure, hasbro said, "we made this toys for kids!"

He actually did if you pay attention to the scene when him and Bumblebee were fighting Starscream and Megatron , he had two guns, the one in his right hand he was holding the gun and the other was the transformed gun, just to let you know.

Man, they did an awesome job on this figure. The level of complexity that they squeezed into this is insane. Usually when you sacrifice size, you lose something but pretty much it's the same figure. In fact, in comparing the two, with a decent custom paint job, it'd be almost the same cause the details would come out when highlighted by the paint the leader class didn't ignore. When my comes in the mail, that's the plan: Custom paint job. And I somewhat like this version over the Leader

What I do with the blades is that I rotate them so they're behind the shoulder cap.
Also when I first saw this in stores I immediatly thought "I'm buying this!" It's absolutely incredible.
I hope they do the same with age of extinction optimus prime by making the leader into a voyager scale
To get out the head merge both methods of getting out the head: untab the roof with the blue flame pieces on the back and it loosens up the hook.
It’s simple but it makes such a difference.
I use to have this guy but I lost him and I am still mad till this day wondering where he went. I even got him on Christmas I don't know how I lost him but what eve's I'll buy another one soon.
I fold up the blades behind his arm and it does both: frees up the articulation and keeps the blades tight.
had this a while back when i was 10. my little nephew broke his head, arms, and lost the matrix. now it's very expensive to get. i should've stole him in his jaw

Hey Optibotimus. I have the Japanese AD-12 Revenge Optimus Prime, same mold as B.B.O.P. With the trouble with the head, the top of the Semi Cab hinges back to make it easier. Just hold the bot shoulders and push the top of the cab back where the Semi front windows ball joints tab in and tada! Just make sure the Semi side panels are out of the way.
I can’t get the windows to sit flush in truck mode on mine and I can’t figure out why. Granted, it is the movie advanced remold so I don’t know if there’s a molding issue with that figure or not.
I have this toy for 5 years and without me knowing that I always mistransform some parts like the blue part on the shoulders I don't have any idea that it can extend slightly and the back part the red part must be in that position

hasbro, they make bad molds and improve molds when they get better looks and screw them up when bay makes his models *unlike a transformers* i really blame bay, i saw aoe and i saw in one of primes transformations, his front tyres go into his foot, the back 4 went in his chest, he is purposely making it hard for hasbro
@optibotimus I actually think you placement of ads is wise. You place them right before you transform the figure, so it creates more suspense than interruption. The ads are also largely skippable. You have my full support to do whatever you need to keep giving us these great videos.

The only problem that I have with this figure is that his legs kinda bow inward sometimes.But other than that this figure is awesome.

When transforming him to robot mode if you put his arms to his side as far as they will go then unpeg and move his gas tanks/back flaps to his side you can fold his back down making his head much easier to get out

Any tips on tightening the knee joints? I fit mine and it's a great figure but his knees are pretty flimsy :/ tightening the screws didn't do that much

This figure to me is a little underrated compared to other movie Optimus toys. If anything this Battle Blade Prime is more impressive and more accurate than any of the ones released for the Studio Series.

Thank You Paul you are a life Saver I got this Guy yesterday and he didn't come with Instructions but thanks to your review I can transform him thank you. I had this Problem with my Warbot Defender he came with 2 left hands so I had to send him back to get a replacement
Are those blades upside down compared to the Leader version? I know the hooks from the Battle Hook version are upside down, and they pose the exact same problem in storing away (you can't ever have the arms straight down when storing them). And it's ironic: the orange bits on this one are proper gray on the Battle Hook one, but the Matrix in the Battle Hook one is orange while it's white with the Battle Blade one.
It's a shame this mold didn't get the same kind of love as the Leader one. No third party Jet Power or Jetwing or Buster gear...

I just got the Battle-Hook DOTM Voyager Optimus Prime with Comettor, a Walmart exclusive, a few days ago... somebody have mistakenly stock the shelves too early before 5/16... they literally have to take the figures back in storage after 2 days on the shelves... good thing I got my hands on it 'cause I totally missed the last HFTD wave by a week... GOOD REVIEWS!

It's different though because on the leader the hole bottom is his foot on the voyage the whole things his legs and feet

@optibotimus In the second movie where Sam's brain is about to be removed, Optimus Prime and bumblebee come in, there locked and loaded, Optimus Prime with the double Ion Blasters and Bumblebee with whatever he had so if you saw that scene then you did see Prime with both of his Ion Cannons.

Optimus did have 2 guns and he did hold it in his hands. You could see them when he saves Sam right before the forest battle where he died.
