he did not come to any sort of agreement with coke, he didn’t arrange for a deal.
he just made the ad, ran it on his video, and hoped that Coke would give him a brand deal because he was already running ads for them on his videos.

Harrison1875 A lot of companies hire ad companies to solicit their products to be advertised. That was the case with this. Coca Cola had an ad agency that i briefly worked with offer youtubers the ability to make money if they put a spot in a video of theirs. The instructions were to just show the product and basically have fun with it. I decided to go all corny on it and i enjoyed doing it. I've done it with a couple other companies in the past as well. Lego, a youtube channel for stan lee called World of Heros and a comedy show featuring Shaq. All of those i did and got paid for them.

To me the claw thing looks more like a fusion cannon. I was really hoping the truck was a human anti-autobot vehicle, not because I dislike the idea of Megatron with an Earth mode, but because I think that would've been really cool story-wise.

Great review, and I agree, this figure has more to offer than meets the eye at first.
When I saw other reviews, and the negativity you speak of, I wasn't planning on getting him.
But when i saw him in person at a toystore here in the Netherlands, I loved his look, and couldn't resist buying him.
I don't have any regrets about this guy, he looks amazing!!

This figure is horrendously difficult to transform due to the stiff joints, though it looks superb in both modes. Best figure in my collection.
BTW the truck is supposed to be a military fuel or oil tanker.

Its been quite a lot of years ive transformed my piece and I can confirm it's nearly impossible to rotate the brown leg portion above the middle wheels

On the bottom edge of the black shoulder pannels there are little hinges that fit into a gap on each side of the shoulders when the figure is being transformed into robot mode; the shoulder pannels don't have to hang around.

That's the funnest thing - Optibotimus thought he could preemptively get them to sponsor him by putting that part in at the start, but nope! He just shilled them and got nothing in return!
The extended window pane is to allow the driver to get a better point of view as to what's on the left of the truck before he makes a turn. Tractor trailers make wide right turns, so before you turn right you have to go left.

very good review! only issue was the black shoulder "mack" grill clicked into a molded slot on the upper shoulder. so the grill doesn't seem like it supposed to be pulled through the cloak. but the rest was awesome!

On the habro website, the cannon is called a blaster while its in the regular mode. When it changes, its caled the fusion cannon.

first time i saw this mode of megatron it reminded me of the truck in the old movie " Duel " starring dennis weaver

excellent review. I think this is the best look of all the movie Megatrons. I wish there was a leader class version of this. "Megatron and Robin Hood" I would say more Dr Doom and Megatron lol.
Very nice review! You certainly gave this figure justice, though you failed to mention how proportionally unsound it is without its cloak, and there were some minor transformation errors. BTW, the truck mode always wants to turn, but pushing in the middle wheels locks it into place.
I like the beginning part of you video review and that coke ad is off the hook! :)

I'm gunna take a shot in the dark here about the windshield, I think it might represent how his face in robot mode is damaged and each windshield represents each eye.
i don't mind ads when they are done by the people who are making the videos, i think it's interesting. more people should make their own ads.
yeah, the only reason Bumblebee got his legs in TF2 and Optimus got his right arm in TF4 is Ratchet, but the decepticon's doctor is small and its dead, so Megatron have a new arm just because he basically ripped an random decepticon's arm and puted in the place where hes cannon used to be

I have to say, this may be the best Megatron figure we've gotten yet. However, the light grey part of the shoulder armor seems very delicate- in both the Megatrons I've gotten it had stress marks, and the hood ornament in vehicle mode snapped off in my fingers, among other things. Regardless, this figure is still amazing and the review was, too! Congrats again on the Coke sponsorship!
finally some one who doesn't totally hate on the new megatron!! But what i really like is the scar on his face and the cloak of shame because i feel even if he could fix it he probably wouldn't. Maybe just leave to remind him that he CAN fail that hes not better than optimus or the autobot and remind him also whats out there. But in all seriousness great figure and great review!

I picked him up a few days ago and am very impressed. Honestly I dunno why people have a problem with Megatron being a Truck. Megatron always was the Anti- Optimud Prime. By making him a truly menacing tanker truck with all the spikes and everything it really gives that feel of a Anti Optimus. I can't wait to see how he looks in the actual movie and I hope we get a leader of him in this mode. Great Review once again.
I actually like how the two leaders are trucks. It's more of an equal footing thing.
