- DOUBLE PATTY SMASH BEEF BURGERS
* Ingredients for the patty:
- 1 kg beef minced meat (70% lean beef and 30% fat)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tbsp oil for frying
* Ingredients for potato wedges:
- 3 potatoes cut into wedges
- 4-5 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- 1 tsp oregano
* Ingredients for caramelised onions:
- 2 cups sliced onions
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2.5 tbsp oil for frying
* Ingredients for the sauce:
- 3/4th cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tbsp mustard sauce
- 1/3rd cup chopped jalapeños
- 2 tbsp canned jalapeños water
* Ingredients for the coleslaw:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp heavy cream
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup grated cabbage
- 1/2 cup grated carrots
- Sesame seed or potato buns (4)
- 2 tbsp butter for toasting buns
- Burger cheese slices (4)

I have been watching couple of smashed burger recipes myself as well. This eid i had hidden some ground beef with some estimated fat in it mostly it was lean. I got to know that the patty tastes better if you just use black pepper and salt. And because my mom forced me to I did add ginger and garlic powders for her as well. It was also tasty . What i learnt is that its better to pre smash the patties and leave the parchment intact for the first couple of minutes when we fry one side so the patty doesn't shrink much. Also the skillet should be piping hot. Smashing the patty while in the process of cooking takes away the juices . So better to presmash the patties.

Tried your recipe of beef patties and also potato wedges. Both the things were very delicious !! Thank you. My kids loved it, better than restaurant burger.
Please do add the following two tips:
1. Drain all the water from the mince meat by squeezing
2. Don't overcook the patty because then it will become too dry.
The rest is perfect.
