I think Pundus said it’s technically supposed to be slightly smaller, but he or the team wanted it to be kitbashable with the Sovereign. My interpretation is that it technically isn’t a modified Sovereign in Prodigy but the size was changed slightly in STO to make it happen.

You can't blame the poor ship for the writers being bad. She held up amazingly under the circumstances and got her crew home. Honestly I feel like she picked up a bit of sentience herself over the years.
Voyager has and probably always will hold the top spot in Lightyears cruised and First Contacts established throughout Federation history. She is the ONLY ship that deserves Legacy status.
Are you nuts?!!! Voyager became one of Starfleet’s most famous ships of all time! The original USS Voyager was most likely stood down because of the vast amount of experimental technology it had acquired and implemented, star fleet needing years to study it. Hence a new starship was christened 🥰
