    The class even has a galley mess hall like Voyager. It has dedicated kitchen staff on board. This ship is expected to be away on mission for extended periods of times. This class is designed to do what Voyager had to adapt to being stranded. It can operate without Starfleet support for extended periods of time. Starfleet realised that proper cooked food was great for ship morale as learned from Voyager.

      i assume because he only understood the need for a "carburator" but didnt fully understand the technology or how its tech functioned. If Toress or Kim had time to play around with the tech, i think we'd of seen that. (or at the very least designed a new warp scale, after the disaster that was "threshold" where paris achieved warp 10. it'd be nice to see an alpha numeric scaling system that starts at 0 and goes too 15, instead of the normal alpha numeric of 1-16, so we can break off from this 9.6 of the Ent D, but warp 9.975 of voyager being almost twice as fast, and the USS promethius prototype going warp 9.995 which is almost over 2x faster that voyager. the exponential scaling gets kinda stupid muddy at this point. warp 9.9 = 3029 times the speed of light but 9.975 is 5126 times the speed of light and warp 9.995 is 11515 times the speed of light.

    The weirdest thing inserted into canon is that the Intrepid Class was a long range science vessel. Wherever did anyone get that idea? In Caretaker we rather clearly see that the Intrepid’s were designed to be Medium Range Multi Role vessels with an emphasis on fast response, tactical operation and defense. The closest equivalent would be a modern day Destroyer or Frigate. They were built in response to Wolf 359, and the growing tensions along several borders. Voyager wasn’t in the Badlands for Science. In fact pre 7of9 we don’t ever really see a Science officer on Voyager. The Command Crew is all Red and Gold.

    Would like to see Voyager series continuation with this ship and later season with the upgrades done (maybe similar with Enterprise when far out they built their upgrade, the beamwepon, from blueprints).

    Gotta love the fact that not only the Odyssey has made it into picard, NO! They added this here Pathfinder, The Armitage among other ships (AND a Reman shielded one (No Starfleet vessel is somewhere GREEN and has that kind of "window's" or lights!) from STO.

    I wonder, is the lower deflector actually a deflector at all, or is it entirely dedicated to slipstream field generation?

    • @dustinherk8124
      @dustinherk8124 Год назад

      i do think it can function as a deflector at lower warp speed, on its own, much like the saucer section has a rudimentary deflector, on the Galaxy and Nebula class saucers. but i think the upper, sunk in deflector is used primarily for higher speeds, and the lower section is primarily used to generate a sliptunnel. one with greater function for impulse and subspace warp travel, and the other that changes how mass travels in sliptunnels, without violating physics laws, but still very different from traditional subspace

    Odyssey - Sovereign 2
    Pathfinder - Intrepid 2
    Neo-Constitution is obvious
    Luna Class kindddaaa NXish in shape?
    California Class - Miranda 2
    Wonder if we’ll get ships that are basically Galaxy 2 and Defiant 2

    I'm just hoping the Voyager B being a Pathfinder class starship means the Voyager A will be Bellerophon class.
    Whilst Pathfinder isn't my favourite 2410 design (that would be the Sutherland), Bellerophon is my favourite 2409 design and the flow from Intrepid to Bellerophon to Pathfinder is a really sleek transition.

    I'm curious to see what the Voyager-A could be, if we see it in Prodigy season 2. Trailblazer makes more sense to me, Starfleet needs more teeth. Especially after Picard season 3 episode 2, still outgunned by random bad guys.
