this mod is fantastic, but what I like even more is that the entirety of phase 2 is synced with the music, it even ends at the same time!! the way that last chorus dies down as the Black Blade incantation lands before Maliketh mutters his last words with the music getting quieter. it's just perfect. love his combo at 2:56

I really wish the combo at 2:55 was in the game, that looks incredibly fun to dodge. Maliketh is already one of my favourite fights and stuff like that would push it up a notch higher
@@HazhMcMoor elden beast is the only boss i knew that u have to jump his attacks, but other bosses i solely relied on dodging a lot cuz thats how soulsborne was before, dodge for the most part

As cool as it is, I can understand why they didn't go this route. Maliketh is already crazy punishing as a boss, with some of the highest damage output in the game and a NASTY DoT effect. He might not have a ton of HP, but everyone always forgets that a single mistake can get you killed. If they wanted to input some of the crazier moves like the double Judgement Cut they probably would've had to cut his damage down so you don't instantly die cause you rolled wrong once. Also doing six consecutive flips in the air does look just a *little* silly, y'know?
This person reminds me that ER can in fact be beaten with more than scripting, massive damage stuff, endless blocking and that there are more than 5 weapons , if you know what you are doing. Very cool channel.
This adds more stuff but i still cant get over how absolutely beautiful this boss is... just fought him yesterday and while phase 1 kinda gets me upset and i dont really like fighting clergyman when maliketh shows up it puts a smile on my face and while fighting him try imagining his lore "who he really is" and youll be stuco in awe that you are basically fighting a gods bodyguard haha its so epic id even love him if they took destined death away honestly
i like how this doesnt turn maliketh into a speed blitzing fight with combos that last 30 seconds long, ridiculous undodgeable moves, stupid mechanics etc, he still gives plenty of openings and still has slow attacks

I have said the same thing since my first time fighting him. It's such a shame, he's a fun boss fight.
Because his moveset starts repeating very rapidly if the fight drags out. He could've been a bit closer to Godfrey in tankiness though, I guess.
That's why ng+ and beyond exists :D I stop leveling at the end of the first run (~120/130RL) having a nice challenge in 2nd one

I knew elden ring had jumping but i never utilized it in combat like how ongbal uses it to dodge certain attacks
Some attacks like Radahn's or Elden Beast's or Godfrey's encourage jumping instead of rolling
