It's amazing that land masses rarely even move over the North Pole. It's as if the North Pole repels land. Contrast the South Pole, which has had places now as far north as 52 N (England, northern Germany) upon it, not to mention parts of the USA (Virginia, Mississippi, Louisiana), northern and eastern South America, northwest Africa, southern Africa, New Zealand, and of course Antarctica (as I can see on the projection of Scotese back only to about 500 million years ago).
