- IT'S HERE! College Football 25 has arrived and this is my first Dynasty series using the Miami Hurricanes. Miami was once a college football powerhouse, but those days are long behind us. The Canes need someone that can restore this program and in this Dynasty we will look to rebuild Miami into the best team in CFB once again.
This Dynasty Rebuild should move at a fast pace. The emphasis is on the team building, with much of the time spent on recruiting and managing the roster. We do watch games in a CPU vs CPU setting to maximize the importance of player ratings, traits, and abilities. We will be simulating many games as well to speed up the pace and allow us to develop the team over many seasons.

I wouldn’t bench Vattiato yet but… it wouldn’t hurt starting a true freshman if the canes keep struggling on offense
Gotta see if the other SR QB can do better first. But then yes scarp this season and go with Keenoy the last four games
If he hasn’t played and only a few more games better to keep him as a red shirt and get a full freshman season next year

One* if you have a SO(RS) QB declare who is a 3rd round projection. You can convince him to stay so he’ll be #1 overall pick next year
You're not using all the available scouting points on players. You have coach boost to do 60-75 points on certain positions which helps win battles
Yeah just speaking as someone who's played quite a bit since the game launched there is a high learning curve with the recruiting

Fun fact. Mario Williams in his college career started at Oklahoma, then went to usc, then went to Tulane, and now he’s on Miami in this series. 4 schools in 4 years is wild

Miami vs notre dame matchup is nicknamed “Catholics vs convicts” due to an intense rivalry in the 80s. Interesting 30 for 30 episode on it. Worth a watch Cane!
What I tend to do is if their projected draft round is 3 or higher i wont try to persuade them. I don't think its unrealistic to convince a day 3 projected draft pick to come back

Remember that while the scrambling athlete QBs are ridiculous, they're also key players to move to another position. It's always worth it to get 1-3 scrambling athletes and also push for a regular QB. Athletes are vital to just flesh out your roster without needing to force yourself down a specific route. And the biggest thing is that they DON'T have a specific page in position changes, you'll need to sort the team page by position to find them.
You can tell what an athlete will be decent at based on their archetype and size, but the archetype (and recruiting recap screen) only tells you their PREFERRED position, which is what they will default to if you don't change it yourself.
Have you looked in the Team Player mental ability with those athletes? That helps when playing out of position but idk if that reference a position change or what.
@@YourAverageFan I don’t think that it has anything to do with position changes. You can actually put offensive and defensive players on the depth chart for the other side of the ball in this game, and that’s where the mental ability seems to take place. The big holdbacks for position changes are the ratings themselves, you don’t wanna do something silly like put a 5’11 185 lb athlete at DE just cause he’s a 70 ovr there, just like how it’s silly to put someone who can’t cover at all at CB.
Custom playbooks work…. However, you can only attach them on the play game screen. You cannot attach them to your coach. So you cannot use them in sim. Only in game super sim or coach mode. Shouldn’t be a problem for you.
I heard Shembo was a two sport athlete in High School. He won best hairstyle at the Minnesota High School State Hockey Tournament.
I heard he had offers to play hockey from St. Cloud State but chose to play kicker for Miami over hockey in the cold north.
Can you switch up the uniforms more? Seems like event game is the Orange tops White bottoms

My theory for Martinez's number change is that when he was put in players leaving, his number was made available and taken by an incoming player, and then Martinez needed a new one when he was persuaded to return.

Remember some guys you've unlocked putting more than 50 recruiting hours on them, some have 60, 65, or 75. Also if you're close to them making a decision and they're deciding between your team or another's and you're ahead or slightly behind doing the hard sell then maxing out the rest of their point available as well works
If you have a jersey number you absolutely despise, you can actually change it. You must have another player on defense/offense with the same number though.
You go into “edit” the other player with the same number, you go down to the jersey number section, and you wiggle the left stick back and forth a few times.
Apply changes when you back out, check your first player’s number and boom! It’s changed! No control over it though.

You should use soft sell until you know what all three positives are for hard sell. There's a penalty for getting hard sells wrong. I also had to drop the interception slider to 20 because watching the sims resulted in heavily inflated pick numbers. I did increase pass coverage to 55 to keep coverage tight.
How many ints are you averaging in slow sim?
@@Zuddyyy at default I got 45 over the course of the season and threw 20 something. Adjusting the sliders brings the average per game to about 2 per game combined for both teams. Games still vary from 0 - 4 usually, but it doesn't get out of hand. Something was wrong when you have top ten QBs for both teams throwing 4-5 picks for no reason.

Just finished my 2nd year with Miami. CPU actually actually added Vattiato in the transfer for me lol 😂
He was fun to use and played well in the portal for the most part. I made sure that JoJo Trader was developed as well

Jersey number is because they had the same number as Martinez - and you edited his equipment. If it’s a duplicate it changes the other player’s number

IIRC, you said you wanted true fresh WR Slaughter to play 4 games for some experience yet keep his redshirt. I do think it's fair to not persuade RBs & Top 3 round projections from returning. And persuading Transfers is a regular thing in real college football.

You may have gotten some wear and tear and just not noticed it cause in these sims you aren’t in the play call screen also there needs to be a specific tab or screen to see wear and tear and not have to go through the depth chart to check every week

You might want to increase fatigue so you see players rotating a bit more. I also saw on another Sim setup that if you turn off intentional grounding your QB might actually scramble a bit more.
I haven't had a problem with wear & tear and i play 11min. 25play clock. I did notice that some players are handling it better. Meaning it takes a few more plays b4 i see a problem unless they get hit pretty good and it could happen 1st play. Later in the year sometimes would start game with it so idk. Also ur coaches help out with that depending on thier attributes. But ive been a Hurricane fan since understanding football( Jimmy Johnson)and I live in LSU country 😅

Not sure why you’re not getting wear and tear but for injuries I’m currently running it at 55. Tryed 60 and it felt a bit much but anywhere from 50-60 is good. Injuries happen, a lot of short ones and one game ones but the occasional bigger one. It’s tied to wear and tear tho. One reason I think you may be not getting much is because your team is such high rated so as a result have higher toughness. But it’s strange tho. I play 11 mins 15 acceleration and get a bunch of wear and tear in game, although it doesn’t carry over week to week much.
Your quarterback had those great statistics in conference USA. A lot of not very good teams in that conference. The competition Miami plays is way tougher.
from my experience, cpu kickers nearly always seem to miss those close kicks when they're on the hash line.
There must be a field goal kicking glitch in the slow sim. My kicker missed 4 all wide right.

I didn’t remember seeing if you got any athletes but at position change you have to go through the overall roster to change the athletes position

I don't subscribe to that. That would fundamentally change the way coverage is played and the game isn't balanced around that. The game already separates speed more aggressively than other EA games.

I would say that any kicker or punter that declares early should be let go as well.
With the game at 10 minutes Qtrs does it not affect your total play count compared to cpu simmed games ?
Also my injury slider is @50 and I feel injuries still dont happen enough but I get one or two that will happen I feel, more than your series.
You can't put that one on Vattiato, Horton just stood there and let the defender steal the ball with no resistance. If I was the coach I'd have benched him for that garbage.

That's not ea's fault. The head developer I believe said in an interview that they tried adding different mechanics with the nil structure in the game and this was the best way they could fit it in with the rest of the stuff they had to add.

Martinez’s number probably switched because you edited Rawlings, who previously shared the number with Martinez.
If there are two players that share a number and you edit one of them, then the other player will get their number reassigned. Weird bug in the game.
How does your production works? You record the game, edit the whole video and after that record your commentary on top of it? I'm asking because I started a channel and I am editing the first cfb video, and not sure what is the optimal way to go about it. (The channel is called 2001: Realistic Gaming)
On this channel the bulk of the content is live commentary. His main channel is where he records, edits, and then commentary

Not to nitpick, but you should turn off in Visual Feedback settings the Drive Goals Feedback so those don't pop up onscreen during play.

I think you're making a mistake spending so much scouting points in multiple QBs. After week 1, you kinda see which colleges are spending their points on and you should move a lot of those points on other players vs trying to compete with other big schools for the other QB's after your expecting to sign 1 already.

It’s nice the games are closer now but that QB play is awful. Playing against a team with a top tier QB, will likely get beat by 3+ scores if QB play doesn’t get better
Custom playbooks ARE messed up lol. The fix is making sure the name of the playbook is one word, no spaces

The old NCAA games would assign you walkons which were the lowest rated players. On top of that, it wouldn't allow you to cut these players. Not sure how this messed up game handles it.
