    Block butted up to a block on the corner is quicker mate then a three quarter over next course less wastage also but still you boys do bang it up mate just like myself hungry for it I’ve just jumped in footings laying trench blocks loving it

    As long as wall ties run down and your overall height works……. You don’t need to level every course if you know what your doing 👊🏼

    all these new kids on the block think they are re-inventing brickwork ,after8bricklayer is the worst ,keep it trad and up yer game and watch the old boys no dramas

      Cavity allows water to strike through fall into the void and then get let out through weep holes

      Mate first of all if you want to become a bricklayer go online and check a college which do bricklaying and what are they want from you

    I'd throw that up in under 15 minutes.... Even if they were concrete blocks , and I'm 66 in January.

    I go 10 course on 7n concrete blocks just to see the look on youngsters faces.... "How does that old bastard lay them to 10 course". 😜

    Good work kurt quick one for you though , make a jig up approx 300mm long and set to your cavity size place on block , saves plumbing every course

      @@kurtmalpassbrickwork6255 no mate sorry , get some tile lath and screw two lengths across a lath at the depth from back of brick to face of block ( if your brickwork is plum ) this saves you a) measuring the cavity and b) plumbing every course

      @@Marshalltoon you still plumb it but you don’t have to that’s what I’m saying mate i started using it cause we got a terrible batch of block

      @@Marshalltoon Christ I’m only giving the guy a tip I’ve used before, for your clarification I plumb 3,5,7&9 course but the jig helps you keep it plumb
