Very nice video. Form the day I have learned the TRUE and FALSE feature of Excel; I use it whenever applicable. Such an amazing feature many people don't know. Thanks for uploading :)
Kindly advise how the formula is written in next column when you type a formula and hit ENTER. It seems very useful in teaching. Kindly respond the solution
Is there a way to use Countifs where one of the criteria is if the cell color is yellow? If there is you could expand the number of cells you want to include in the range without having to manually alter formulas and/or named ranges. I can't find a function that returns what the cell color is but there must be something because you can sort by cell color. How is Microsoft doing that? Is it via Excel functions or is it something more advanced baked into the inner workings of Excel?
Count and sum by color is done with VBA UDF (User Defined Function). Just search Google, the code is at the Microsoft site and oz.grid site. I actually show that UDF in this video: Highline Excel 2016 Class 26: Macro Recorder Basics & Copying VBA Code From Internet ruclips.net/video/WKyN8e7XXjI/видео.html Thanks as always, brainxyz, for hanging out at excelisfun and being a great Teammate!!!!
I have a question. Hope you can answer me. I have a large database with multiple suppliers names as individuals, company names and government agencies. I need to find a formula to identify all government agencies that have different combinations names as: treasury dept. Arizona department of business licensing. My database is more than 1000 rows.Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for this tip. a little too late for me. I needed to count cells only if they were 20% over a forecast. my columns were not together and i had blank cells.
You are welcome for the tips. Thanks for your support. You might be able to use a COUNTIFS on each range with the criteria 20% over forecast and then add the COUNTIFS
I hear you. I may have written a UDF as follows once or twice while out on a DATE: Function HotGirlNameHere(rng as Range) as String msgbox SameHotGirlName & " is a nice person!" 'They love the pop up box! HotGirlNameHere = rng & " is a nice person" End Function For what it's worth, I actually do like your page. Your array function examples are pretty useful. That old AREAS video is not very good because it was a video I made in the first year here at excelisfun back in 2008.
I remember that once i tried to create a range of non-adjacent cells, but I didn't succeed.
Thanks for this movie, now I know how to do it :D
