I'm sorry... I still can't really believe this just happened. The one time that I use Google Chrome as a guest during a screenshare, and it apparently prevented me from getting any desktop notification that the stream had begun. My Discord is a whole other mess in itself, and I've fixed it now to hopefully make myself a lot easier to reach. And Google Chrome's guest feature is misleadingly annoying when it comes to logging into literally anything on your browser...
That being said, it's time to dive into your next chapter stream and leave another massive comment to hopefully make up for my absence. Yes, I'm so glad you remembered the horror that was "Allah the Magician" lol Fortunately, Raiku seems to be more careful this time. "Allah" can be a name for God, but Moses was always just a teacher/mentor and was never godly himself... so that name's totally fair game it seems... and interestingly, takes us back to Egyptian roots again. Glad you caught the "Mo" thing! The word "mo" in Japanese can also mean "too" or "also"... so Moses seems to be finding irony in the fact that they "also" have the word "also" in their name. I'm about 80% sure this is the point of the joke, but I'll wait until I get a more concrete opinion before I add a translator's note for it. But I also like your idea about maybe using "Mo' " in an attempted localized version of the joke, I'll have to think on that. If we ever make a Viz Media names/terms version of the Zatch Bell 2 scanlation, I'd definitely go with that!
Yeah, I was pretty surprised too that apparently Moses' sense of touch can be heightened SO MUCH that he can actually isolate and scope out the area for body temperatures like some kind of thermal imaging goggles.... I mean.... that's not a normal thing people do.... lol But body heat is something you feel... you can't really see, hear, smell, or taste heat. So the sense of touch is the only one that could apply. And yeah, I believe Moses had what looked like a bone saw or autopsy saw. But then he turned it into a fantasy weapon xD As for whether it's moving, I believe it just spun the blade a little after his initial flick and then it stayed still, it didn't seem like ongoing motion imo in any other panels.
LMAO Turns a lever, that moves a gear, that moves a hand, that moves a hammer, to strike a bell.... Absolutely love it. And I also love the subtle callback to when we first found out about Momon in the series, where his appearance was described to us as having the ears of a rabbit and the face of a monkey. "He has many fabulous secret abilities"..... Okay, I need to write that sentence down xDDD And yeah, that map... Geez, so many apparent ancient demon spell elements... Especially Paramakiron, the guy with the satellite head. And yeah, now I'm also wondering if Raiku mapped out more of the demon world somewhere... I remember him having a map for Kiyomaro's house in the original, but it was sadly lost to time.
Libra's design is definitely more than I was expecting. That strange eyeball thing with what looks like a yoke in the center really is unsettling, and the screech that it made on not one but TWO occasions in this same chapter was just utter hell to edit together.... I think the Card that used Umagon's spell was a woman actually. I can only guess that the bladed weapon might just be a natural part of her arm... and can say with certainty that the "Begiru" spells belong to Dalmos. Also, HURRAY! We finally got to see what Robnos/Erujo's shield would look like in canon! A shame that the Gou Shudoruku spell was just a speed and strength buff without any armor, but I guess that answers the question of what would've happened if Wiseman had used it after stealing it in the first movie. Also, glad you got that mic fixed pretty fast.
Yeah, "Giraga Rabado" and "Giraga Mabarudo" are using completely unknown nomenclature. Unless MAYBE "Ma" and "Barudo" could be considered a combination, with "Ma" being for intense concentration and "Barudo" being for an attack that splits apart. And you're absolutely right, Guranbao is an Eshros spell! That scene with Momon focusing so hard on trying to bring joy to people is so pleasing to see. You could see it in his face when the bird, Chuba, excitedly told him that his map would make people so happy. He really took to it to heart that he's caused trouble for so many people and now he wants to do the opposite and fill their lives with joy. The GREATEST redemption and turn around for a perverted trope character in the history of manga? Perhaps!
I've never heard of this Fire Force controversy, but I've never really given that series much attention either. And oh wow, yeah, Moses really does resemble Jyu. The thing about Moses and Libra is that they seem quite compatible with each other in terms of their motifs... Moses is a mad scientist... Libra is a plant-like abomination that Moses seems to let run rampant... So immediately my mind goes to the idea that Libra's an experiment of Moses', but to what end... I have no idea. Moses might be going rogue, or he might just be treating his comrades as pawns to further his own power... If Beliel is apparently all-seeing, then surely he knows what's going on here. It definitely poses a lot of questions... I think it's actually a pretty realistic possibility that Tio and Megumi, who would still be in the demon world, might come to Momon's rescue. Just some food for thought, since those two are VERY well-known for the "big damn heroes" trope lol I think the fact that we see the bulge of the sketchpad on Momon's back might actually mean his shirt will get torn and it will fall out, into enemy hands. If that happens, all Moses and Libra would have to do is destroy it, but it's just speculation. I like your voice for Moses and I definitely like your voice for 20-year-old Momon!
And yes, good ol' Towakizu ending its service, following all the Zatch Bell traditions of being something for the fans that's taken away thanks to some untimely bullcrap. And yeah, the way that Towakizu was releasing their characters, they were totally keeping track of Zatch Bell 2 and keeping the theme. Koral Q releasing before even any of the four supreme mamodo? Momon releasing before Arth, or maybe Rein, Karudio, and Zaruchim? Characters were released in a way that benefited Towakizu's marketing, and nothing did that better than Zatch Bell 2. And oh yeah, heck no, I can't imagine focusing on more than one gacha game at a time... That would just be pain. But if you want to try any Towakizu again, now's the time while we still can! Remember, I have a full English guide for mamodo, their skills, and the cards and what they do. I also have a guide for which cards to equip to which mamodo.
I think that Raiku's tweet to Towakizu actually did have something to do with it shutting down, but it would speak more to Toei's ineptitude than anything. I bet it was just Raiku asking Towakizu's devs on what grounds they were still hosting the game if Toei hasn't agreed to renew the license to the IP... so then Towakizu went to Toei and asked how the renewal process was going, and Toei would've callously told them that the rights to Zatch Bell have expired and won't be renewed, so the mobile game was not their problem anymore. This led to Neowiz needing to make the abrupt announcement, and even throwing shade at Toei for their "delayed decision," making it sound like they were blindsided by the news that Toei wasn't gonna renew that license. It all fits together imo, but I mean... we can only guess. And yes, we should ALL be hiding from Libra LOL That thing looks like it dwells in everyone's nightmares, and the moment I saw it and Moses, they both gave me Enmu vibes from Demon Slayer.

I didn't think that the Towakizu character release order might have been determined by ZB2...But I think they still probably had a very limited number of characters to work with, because wasn't Koral Q in the game's beta (before he showed up in ZB2), and he only came out in the latter half of this year?
If Moses created Libra, I wonder if Libra could possibly have some mamodo parts in him and that's why he's able to integrate spell elements without dying like the other cards to. I've always assumed that if Kiyo and Zatch were to use their lightning magic in the same way (and we may already have seen a version of that with the Thunder Dragon Egg's power), Zatch would not suffer any ill effects from it since it's his own element. Maybe the mamodo could learn to use others' spell elements too, if they have access to it.
"Fabulous secret abilities" is something that entered my lexicon from the famous He-man meme music video, where in the original version (not the most popular upload version which removes the intro) he says (and the video is actually titled) "Fabulous Secret Powers".

@@Momon143 I mean, Koral Q was released later after Koral Q's debut in ZB2, that's definitely true. But his raid battle was introduced right around the time of his debut instead, before the character was made playable. I also couldn't help but notice that they put Kido on the banner around the time Dr. Riddles had gained a lot of relevance in ZB2, and Kido was already playable at the start of the game. Now this happens with Momon, so it just feels like it's more than a coincidence to me.
The idea that demon biologics could prevent the absorbed spells from tearing their body apart is a cool one, I think it has a lot of merit to it! I just can't tell though if the Thunder Dragon mark is the same principle, but Raiku definitely worded the incantation that way to make it resemble the ones the sorcerers use, so there has to be a reason for that.
Oh, I didn't know about the He-Man meme xD That was a nice touch then lol "Fabulous secret abilities" needs to be in everybody's lexicon.
