I love the part where the young girl is approaching the Phoenix Tarja and she is getting scared from the fiends surrounding her but once she focuses on the fire and power within it's all that matters, and the things you feared just burn all around you. It's a great allegory for life. Always focus on your inner strength and fire, and don't let the world claim you
This video tells such a cool story. It requires interpretation, but you can see elements of Hansel and Gretel, or other kids-lost-in-a-forest stories. It seems like there are a number of dangerous creatures and what may be a God of Death, who basically herds the girl to the creatures. Tarja walking through a white forest seems like some kind of Spirit of the Forest who benevolently watches over the kids, and then Tarja as a Fire Goddess or Sun Goddess of some sort seems as if she was called by the Spirit of the Forest. I have nothing for Tarja as a painted up doll looking figure, but i’m sure someone could come up with something for that. I’m a hobbyist student of history and an amateur fiction writer, so I look at things through that lens.
