@@BrianMakse no major issues ever, but starting to have to money here and there in to it. I think it's just time for a new one as I also use the truck as a work vehicle. I took the 3rd row out first day I bought it. Never even been sat in. The 2 row was not an option back then....just wish the price was a little bit more reasonable.

Agree. Been thinking of buying a used one with north of 100k mileage. I mean, with regular maintenance, a vehicle this well-made should last well past 300k mileage. So, if you think you may get tired of it at that time, why spend $65-70 grand on a low mileage example? There are quite a few available for around $40-50k.

Driving a Lexus generally means you are smarter than the rest. There are only 2 motorcar brands I will ever consider ever again. Toyota and Lexus. I traded my 4Runner in for a 2017 LX570. Love the Lexus more than the 4Runner. It's nice to not have to worry about repairs for a decade or more with routine maintenance done. Look at the Land Rovers reliability, the BMW exorbitant cost for repairs. The American made SUV's are crap, though Tahoe and Suburban have some interesting towing features. Nothing holds a candle to Toyota/Lexus quality. A thing to look at is the 10 year maintenance cost. The LX570 came in at about 17%, Everything else was 50% and higher. The Korean models coming out now are decent, but the cost to keep them on the road is up there with Discovery and the German stuff. This SUV is the BEST long term value because it will still be serviceable in 20 years while the rest of them will have long been scrapped. So when you look at TCO they are pretty much a bargain.

At 6:33 mark that is NOT how you remove the rear monitor screen covers. You have to finesse it mid way up then pull it out the screen then down.
Aside from that your presentation is exquisite and so is your watch.

Think of it this way: The screen is essentially a monitor mounted on a wall but the cover cannot slide up or down due to the impeding hardware in the back of a screen.
Applying that rationale Lexus cover have to be finesed as I instructed above. The covers don't clad like you would a Tshirt.

I test drove G 63, Bentley and RR before I made a purchase on a CPO LX 570 last month. The functionality, comfort, build quality, longevity and aesthetics surpass all other luxury cars. Everything you see or you can't see is of high quality. the wood on the steering wheel takes 38 days and 67 steps to finish. the infotainment system is easy to use, reliable and clean. touch screen leaves too many fingerprints and needs frequent clean so I don't want them. The espresso wood on the central panel is gorgeous. I don't need carplay or android auto since I really want to detach myself from my iphone/macbook/ipad when I drive and I don't want to drive an iPad on wheels. the off roading system is ceremonial. the projected door lamp shows the unique elegance of LX. the car is actually very easy to park. the only drawback is once you own an LX 570, you can't find a better car, and you have to live with this fact for the rest of your life.

I’ve owned 3 of these and am one of those blind loyalists. In defense of the infotainment one can add Apple CarPlay for about $300 and the joystick works just fine for that, mashing left and right gets you through most functions quickly as CarPlay was designed to work with a wheel or dial at first.
The CarPlay overlay looks amazing on that 12.3 inch screen and I’d say it’s far superior to the factory systems in the loaner RX and ES I get when I go in for an oil change.

I had a 2018 with only 46k miles. The infotainment system drove me nuts and was impossible while driving. Mine also seemed to be very hard to turn the steering wheel. It felt like my 2014 GMC Yukon, and I didnt like that at all. I would have thought as a luxury vehicle, it would have been easier to maneuver the steering wheel. Also, the rear a/c controls are in the center arm rest. Makes no sense bc if someone is sitting there, you cant control it.

2021 is the last of the V8 LX 570/Land Cruisers. The 2022 LX 600 will have the twin-turbo V6 mill found in the all-new Land Cruiser found in Japan & the Middle East. All that capability and no meat on tires. I probably get a Land Cruiser instead as it doesn’t have that strange grill. These probably last easy over 200,000 miles. The mechanical bits are going to last as long as you live. Agreed infotainment is a mess. I think I rather get a F150 with a Coyote for half the price with more modern tech and even more room in back seat with FX4 package 😇.
