I miss my Italian Grandparents loads. I spent so much time in the kitchen with my Nan learning how to cook and absolutely loved it. Sometimes find myself just putting this on to hear the Italian accent, brings back great memories. On the plus side... he’s a lovely fella and an amazing cook!
James Tatters you were a special Grandson to them. I also hung around watching my Italian Grandmother make dough for pasta and more. I cook and bake breads, 4 Grandchildren, no interest.
Yup. Same here. Learned to make bread and brasciole, and meatballs, and spaghetti gravy. But none of the nieces and nephews are interested in learning. I hate to see our amazing and wonderful Italian culture disappear.
@@Rob_430 They may be more interested after they get older. I know I didn't care about getting in the kitchen and learning how to cook till I was an adult and cooking for myself. Haha
i Miss Miss Miss the smells from nonni's kitchen. She was Barese and would sit outside always making gnocchi for the neighborhood and her breads every few days ..so much love in the food. Thank you for posting SO many wonderful Italian recipes. I almost forgot abouot this BREAD!!! now going to make it . you bring home back to us from far away.
Yippie! Unfortunately, I never asked my dad for mama’s olive bread recipe & to my wonderful surprise your video popped up & I almost started to cry! This is my sister’s favorite bread & I can’t wait to surprise her with a loaf! I’m certain tears will be shed but they will be happy tears for certain! Pretty foolproof recipe. I thought I had fluffed my fist attempt but it came out perfect. Fantastic recipe and baking another loaf today. Doesn't have to be baked in a round pot. I used a Romertopf pot. Perfect. Bellisimo.

When I’m not dipping it in olive oil then I’m slicing it and making a sandwich with tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, a little basil and Parmesan then brush it with olive oil and grill. A-MA-ZING.
