Hard to believe after three years of varsity wrestling, two R12 NCAA finishes and an assortment of other accomplishments that McCutcheon rode the bench in his final year as a Nittany Lion. Just goes to show how incredibly tough and deep each weight class is in the PSU wrestling room.
@@benryabov8503 both blades were down at same time a couple of times. I put this video on freeze frame (HD) and there is no doubt about it, Heil was pinned!
Kawika Jones it’s gotta be for longer than a split second if his back is on the dudes chest. He’s not even in a neutral position so to give him a pin in that scenario would be one of the worst calls of all time
@@johndavidson8152018 actually. Dean didn’t even place the year danger was added. He lost to a future 4 timer in Yianni but come on a 2x ncaa champ losing in the blood round?
Heart and conditioning the last two matches was not available. The two OSU wrestlers combined could barely blow out a match. Hide your faces boys, you sucked.
Question: what happened at 5:12? What was that about? When the one wrestler stood up m, was the was he was _supposed to_ be trying to do at that time, or was it just something he did to prevent being pinned, or what? At 5:24 the referee signaled like Collica got a point?
According to the new rules at the time. When Zain had both feet off the ground and was hanging on Collica, it was considered stalling and Zain had already been warned for doing that before so the ref gave Collica 1 point. I do believe that new rule was put in place due entirely to Zain because Zain did this a lot in the past. IMHO, the guy standing up should be called for stalling if he isn't trying to get out of the grasp of the wrestler on top.
@@kawikajones9436 I see why they would put that rule in place but you can see the man trying to break the grip. I dont agree with that rule I think it's a bit silly. Wrestling already has too many rules let's just scrap!
Here’s what happened so I can clear this up. He got a stalling call before but we didn’t see that. At 5:12, he got called for stalling again because he didn’t mat return him. If you don’t mat return your opponent you get a stall call. Zain wrapping his legs around Collica had nothing to do with the stall call
Gulibon got robbed so badly
Heil was pinned about 6 times.
No pin.
Only that he was pinned 6 times.
I counted 3 definite and 2 questionable pins... but 1 was enough.
@@daytonasayswhat9333 the “no pin” would’ve been back points and that match between Jimmy and Dean is why they added the danger rule

Stephen Stonebraker He was also injured but you’re right
A couple years ago Cael benched Cassar to let Rashid wrestle... Rashid choked that year and in 2019 Cassar was NCAA champion.
Heil was 1000000% pinned or lost to back points
nah, both shoulder blades weren't down at the same time and the penn kid didn't get the takedown so no back points
nvm, the ref robbed the penn kid the second time

@@user-oo4xu4by3w Split second? You have got to be kidding. He was on his back for over 10 seconds!
Heil was so pinned. Glad he choked his last two years.
Why dislike Heil? He didn't make the call if he was pinned, and it's unfathomably stupid to be like " I was pinned" and just give up.
Heil was pinned twice! I hate it when refs don't do their jobs.
This video got me to know who Shane Sparks, Zain Retherford, Jason Nolf and Bo Nickal are. So thankful for this video.
Totally forgot Suriano wrestled at Penn
Even if Heil wasnt pinned, Gulibon was robbed of two takedowns because heil was exposed to his back for so freaking long
Agreed my man but the NCAA hadn’t changed the rules for exposure up to that point. They changed all that 2019 I believe.
If that match was wrestled a year later with new danger rules, Gulibon wins 14-3.
People wonder why Dean Heil fell off the year after, he exposed his back like a mfer in neutral. He was even straight up pinned here a few times.

1:05 vote for pedro
Two best wrestling universities in the country!
4:17-4:20 PINNED!!!!
There was no way the ref was going to call a pin.
That’s not even remotely close to a pin. But alright then
That was Horse Puckey! He was pinned twice. That Ref. really needs glasses! I would have protested that for sure!
If the ref calls that pin, he will never work a college match in Oklahoma again.
I pinned the dude from sobrato high school like that my jr year. . That was pin my friends !
a pin from neutral is not a defensive pin!
PENN STATE ALL THE WAY!!!
Can talk for a second about that transition to a cradle by Nolf?
9:12 "fuck" bottom guy xD
Heil was pinned.... missed call by Hagerty. No ones perfect.
What's NWCA?
Wow.... Heil was even more pinned than Boyd was.
285 Hitting a low single in front of John Smith. Its............Ironic.
Suriano would have beaten Piccinnini if he didnt get hurt, plus Gulibon pinned Heil. The score should have been 36-4
Gulibon got shafted so fuckin hard.
💪💪❤️👏
How much did john Smith pay that ref
Suriano would have won….Heil was pinned numerous times🤣 Okie state gets 1 win against a D3 wrestler…….huge gap between #1 and 2

Jesus, Heil was literally pinned at least 4 times. A one eyed no legged toothless chamber maid could have seen that pin.
