I am so lucky and privileged to have ordered this kit last week from Tama. It’s gonna take 4-8 months to get here but it’s worth the wait. This is the finish I chose too! The attention to detail from this company is unreal. I had a collectors series maple kit and it just didn’t deliver how I wanted it too. The tone, the hardware and the finish on this kit is unlike anything that exists in my opinion. If you like the tone of maple but need the attack and tone to be a bit darker and deeper this is the kit. Nothing even comes close. Great playing also!!
TAMA Drums Official, two things - 1. not a good mix, slightly silent drums and "thinner" cymbals (ride) and 2. you might start posting some shell spec info, that huge bass drum was it 26"?
Kaz has written some of the tracks that Anika has played to on her channel. Other artists that have tracked drums to Kaz's music include Chris Coleman, Aaron Spears, Gerald Heyward and Alex Rudinger.
Don't know 100% sure, but I'd say it's a K Constantinoplan Renaissance. For sure it's a K Constantinoplan, just don't know the exact one. zildjian.com/cymbals/ride/k-constantinople-renaissance-rides.html probably this, 22". Could also be a K Constantinoplan Medium, looking the thickness -> zildjian.com/cymbals/browse-by-type/ride/k-constantinople-medium-rides.html Also, sorry being here 2 years late, I just bought my Tama Star Walnut and I'm looking for some nice videos on that kit ^^
Agreed. With those heads all sound you get comes from the head. You could use a 500€ china set and it would sound the same... Terrible waste of beautiful shells... -.-
Ivan B. Shittiest comment I've ever read. Jazz isn't brainless, nor is it hipster music. And what that guy plays wouldn't exist without the genre... Apart from that: that weird head choice has nothing to do with the genre. Those heads reduce shell resonance, that's a fact. The shells are what make those drums special and expensive, that's a fact, too. This is a drum showcase video. Another fact, don't you agree? So what are those heads not doing? You guessed right: showcasing the drums. If you want that sound: go for it, but you will achieve it with a kit a fraction of the cost from this one. So congratulations, your whole comment is shit. Shitty shit. Have a nice day :)
Yeah, what BerlinStold said. I actually laughed at the "brainless and musically limited" part. Dude, just because you're too ignorant to understand something, doesn't mean you shit on it. You'd probably be fortunate to be blessed with a small fraction of the talent that it takes to be an excellent jazz musician. I guess have fun listening to Slipknot or whatever Nu-Metal shit I'm sure you listen to. The point of not using the P4's is that you could throw those heads on a kit that's 1/4 of the price and achieve pretty much the same sound. You don't have to use single plies, but shit at least use an Emperor or something if you're going that route.
17” K Custom Special Dry Trash Crash over a 17” crash of some sort. The x-hat looks like the 14” K Custom Special Dry FX Hi Hat over a 14” K Sweet Hi Hat. Hope that helps.
Lol what? He’s playing the Tama road pro hardware. The most road worthy proven hardware in the world. It’s not as good and as many gadgets as the star hardware but it’s durable and affordable and what most artists use including myself and so many others I know. Also all of tama’s pedals are made in china. Tama have the best pedals hands down especially chain pedals like the speed cobra and iron cobra. But what does the stands have to do with his star kit? The hardware mounting system on the star and starclassic drums are also the best in the game.
Porque se ha dado cuenta de que debería haberse quitado la chaqueta de cuero antes de empezar a grabar y le están entrando los sudores de la muerte.... le va a dar algo al pobre... 😂😂😂
One of my favorite drummers awesome sound nice music and gorgeous kit keep up the good work 😍❤️❤️❤️
BEAUTIFUL DRUM SET
Wow, this guy is Musical for real
Love his sensitivity to the details of the track
Big respect man
How beautiful the drum set is!!!
These Star drums sound amazing. The track! So great. Mixed perfectly. Way to go again, Kaz.

That kick sounds so nice!
God damn those drums are perfect.
This track... holy hell this track
Wow, this guy is a beast! Drums sound great, and what a player!
Fantastic!!!
Increíble no tengo palabras.
Amazing kit
It would be nice if they didn't have the music so loud so I can hear the Drums better
Yeah, it's a weird mix. Almost no presence or crispness.
👏👏👏
genioooooo
Good drummer....but can't hear the drums?
he is not worth it...star drums is for big big players
music is life! drums for life woah thts dumb
@@groovemaster-bt7jr you’re a moron!! Katz is one of the best drummers and musicians of the modern era. A real genius.

I hear a lot of Anika Nilles/Nevell in there. Nice song anyway :)
Kaz has written some of the tracks that Anika has played to on her channel. Other artists that have tracked drums to Kaz's music include Chris Coleman, Aaron Spears, Gerald Heyward and Alex Rudinger.
What ride is he playing?, sounds amazing!

Why put Powerstroke 4's and moongel on a kit that's designed for optimum resonance? Like what was the point of playing the Star drums?
Agreed. With those heads all sound you get comes from the head. You could use a 500€ china set and it would sound the same...
Terrible waste of beautiful shells... -.-
Probably just preference or he was going for that particular sound. Everyone has a different taste.
Because he don't play shitty Jazz music. Jazz is the worst music in the world intended for brainless and musically limited hipsters

Wann benutzt er mal die 26 oder 24 Zoll Kick? // When is he using the 24 or 26 Inch Kick?
Toooooooooooooooooooooooooop
I waited for this video,I waited to hear this cool kit,but unfortunately the tunning is quite bad and I can't hear a clear sound
I love this kit! BUT this mix is horrible and does this kit no justice at all.
What hihats is he using in this???
17” K Custom Special Dry Trash Crash over a 17” crash of some sort. The x-hat looks like the 14” K Custom Special Dry FX Hi Hat over a 14” K Sweet Hi Hat. Hope that helps.
ride volume too low..but GOOD job!!!!
This walnut set sounds better with the Remo heads that come with the drums. You put the wrong heads for a walnut set.
He uses Remo Heads?!
Usual hater comments ugh...
Not showcasing the sound quality and hadcraft put on Star series especially Walnut shells, if something quite denigrative.
Shells made in Japan, but you get corroded Chinese hardware. Might as well just get a cheap Chinese set.
Ignorant moron

What's the song name
MOSCOW
@@george9065 thanks to info
Is this a drum or a cymbal company promo?? Can’t even hear the drums with the abundance of cymbal hits and the way that track is mixed. 💩
I felt the opposite. Couldn't really hear the distinction of the cymbals in the mix.
This mix is horrible and does this kit no justice at all.
SOK P nt his fault
👏👏👏
