    I am so lucky and privileged to have ordered this kit last week from Tama. It’s gonna take 4-8 months to get here but it’s worth the wait. This is the finish I chose too! The attention to detail from this company is unreal. I had a collectors series maple kit and it just didn’t deliver how I wanted it too. The tone, the hardware and the finish on this kit is unlike anything that exists in my opinion. If you like the tone of maple but need the attack and tone to be a bit darker and deeper this is the kit. Nothing even comes close. Great playing also!!

    TAMA Drums Official, two things - 1. not a good mix, slightly silent drums and "thinner" cymbals (ride) and 2. you might start posting some shell spec info, that huge bass drum was it 26"?

      Kaz has written some of the tracks that Anika has played to on her channel. Other artists that have tracked drums to Kaz's music include Chris Coleman, Aaron Spears, Gerald Heyward and Alex Rudinger.

    What ride is he playing?, sounds amazing!

    • @senise21

      Don't know 100% sure, but I'd say it's a K Constantinoplan Renaissance. For sure it's a K Constantinoplan, just don't know the exact one. zildjian.com/cymbals/ride/k-constantinople-renaissance-rides.html probably this, 22".
      Could also be a K Constantinoplan Medium, looking the thickness -> zildjian.com/cymbals/browse-by-type/ride/k-constantinople-medium-rides.html
      Also, sorry being here 2 years late, I just bought my Tama Star Walnut and I'm looking for some nice videos on that kit ^^

  • @austing.8870

    Why put Powerstroke 4's and moongel on a kit that's designed for optimum resonance? Like what was the point of playing the Star drums?

    • @BerlinStold
      @BerlinStold 6 лет назад +2

      Agreed. With those heads all sound you get comes from the head. You could use a 500€ china set and it would sound the same...
      Terrible waste of beautiful shells... -.-

      Probably just preference or he was going for that particular sound. Everyone has a different taste.

    • @ivanb.3157
      @ivanb.3157 6 лет назад +5

      Because he don't play shitty Jazz music. Jazz is the worst music in the world intended for brainless and musically limited hipsters

    • @BerlinStold
      @BerlinStold 6 лет назад +17

      Ivan B. Shittiest comment I've ever read. Jazz isn't brainless, nor is it hipster music. And what that guy plays wouldn't exist without the genre...
      Apart from that: that weird head choice has nothing to do with the genre. Those heads reduce shell resonance, that's a fact. The shells are what make those drums special and expensive, that's a fact, too. This is a drum showcase video. Another fact, don't you agree? So what are those heads not doing? You guessed right: showcasing the drums. If you want that sound: go for it, but you will achieve it with a kit a fraction of the cost from this one.
      So congratulations, your whole comment is shit. Shitty shit. Have a nice day :)

    • @austing.8870
      @austing.8870 6 лет назад +3

      Yeah, what BerlinStold said. I actually laughed at the "brainless and musically limited" part. Dude, just because you're too ignorant to understand something, doesn't mean you shit on it. You'd probably be fortunate to be blessed with a small fraction of the talent that it takes to be an excellent jazz musician. I guess have fun listening to Slipknot or whatever Nu-Metal shit I'm sure you listen to. The point of not using the P4's is that you could throw those heads on a kit that's 1/4 of the price and achieve pretty much the same sound. You don't have to use single plies, but shit at least use an Emperor or something if you're going that route.

      17” K Custom Special Dry Trash Crash over a 17” crash of some sort. The x-hat looks like the 14” K Custom Special Dry FX Hi Hat over a 14” K Sweet Hi Hat. Hope that helps.

    Shells made in Japan, but you get corroded Chinese hardware. Might as well just get a cheap Chinese set.

    • @andyham6094
      @andyham6094 4 года назад +2

      Lol what? He’s playing the Tama road pro hardware. The most road worthy proven hardware in the world. It’s not as good and as many gadgets as the star hardware but it’s durable and affordable and what most artists use including myself and so many others I know. Also all of tama’s pedals are made in china. Tama have the best pedals hands down especially chain pedals like the speed cobra and iron cobra. But what does the stands have to do with his star kit? The hardware mounting system on the star and starclassic drums are also the best in the game.
