before we get into the beginning of Vlogmas next Friday, today I have a simple toy haul video all about vintage Strawberry Shortcake dolls and toys.

Lord, I loved Strawberry Shortcake when I was a little girl, so this drings back memories. I was born 1979 & got my 1st one, when I was about 2, and it was rag dolls, Strawberry Shortcake & Lemon Meringue. I guess when my mother thought I would no longer put small objects in my mouth & up my nose,she bought me the 5" doll. That doll didn't come with an animal friend. Along with that one particular doll she gave me two accessories for it one being a Tricycle & the other that was a little house that looked like it was made of lattice. I also had the Baby Strawberry Shortcake doll that blew strawberry kisses. I was so obsessed with this doll I told my mother I wanted a Strawberry Shortcake bike that I could ride for Christmas. I don't know how she did it but she found a red & pink bike with little strawberries on the banana seat. I don't know if the bike actually had any affiliation with the doll but I was so excited to see that bike.

Here's a little tip for you. if the brown shoes have tiny little hearts on them, then they are strawberry shortcake's shoes. if they just have little lines on them, then they are huckleberry pie's shoes.

Oh what a cute fun haul!! Good desicion to buy them! They are in a so good condition!! What a lucky find! Especially with all the pets and attached hats! I am a big collector of them too!
Back in the 80s I only had the 80s short movie on VHS. "Emily im Erdbeerland"
There was also a second boy in the movie. "Plum Pudding" He is featured on greeting cards and in 1 or two short movies. But as a doll release Kenner changed him from boy to girl cause they thought one boy is enough and he would sell better as girl doll. Later in media he was always a she. So he desided to be a girl ^^ But as boy he was so cute. I remember he was my fav in the movie.
Two years ago he got his first and only release as boy doll in retro style in the reproduction line. They included never made characters.
In Germany the 80s dolls are so hard to find here. And not sure they released many waves here.

Such a nice Strawberry Shortcake haul!🍓 They all look like they're in great shape and nice that some came with their shoes, pets and hats attached! Also interesting seeing Souffle in 2 different shades. I've never seen that before. 🤓

I was also very pleasantly surprised how good the shape of most of them was. I couldn't really tell on the photos of the auction. I'm really happy that my Strawberry Shortcake collection kinds sorta takes shape~ haha

I love vintage Strawberry Shortcake. I have a few but want to get more, The ones you got are in such great condition. There is going to be new Strawberry Shortcake released in the U.S. soon and Rainbow Brite dolls.

Yes, I have seen already pictures of the new mini figures of Strawberry Shortcake and Rainbow Brite online. Some people already got them. The designs are super good. They look awesome. Also the dolls/plush etc. but I want to stick to vintage as much as I can. Otherwise I don't know where to put all this stuff~ haha😆

My older sister had a collection of strawberry shortcakes dolls. I believe she even had the strawberry doll house. I remember playing with them here and there but i wasnt allowed to. Lol. Not because im a boy but because they were my sisters. And you know how older sisters can be. I have however found a couple of starwberry short cake dolls at the flea market. Not complete but i couldnt just leave them there. Lol great 80s haul.

@@LauSkypainter funny enough I got them because they remind me of her. She's a good nine years older than me and our connection isn't that good. But having the dolls is like having a little bit of how we were back when we were kids. Ya know?
This video definitely brightens the day ❤ I love my vintage Strawberry shortcake collection! It's so sweet to see a very berry collection! I just wanted to share with you that I have the snail and playset that you were explaining in the original box🐌🍓 and what I find very interesting is that my snail is stamped and marked Macau, just like the g1 my little ponies ( Jenny ) for example! I purchased an entire collection all in original packaging and was so surprised to see it marked that way, and I am in the US. Awwww~ so nice to read you love these toys and have a big collection. Wow~ even in packaging! Kudos! Veeeery interesting that some of the toys were even produced in Macau. I think in the 80s much more different production countries were still used for most toylines. You can see that difference very well with ponies. The earlier ponies (maybe until 85) have way more variations in the country of origin and much more variants while the later ponies were mostly all produced in China.

Butter cookie did not come with shoes. She had a bunting bag for an outfit, so they didn't bother :) the panties she is wearing go to drink and wet orange blossom berry baby. This video made me smile. I had to go up and take my pets out to admire how cute they are 😊
This is a unique figure line. I had Lime Chiffon with Parfait Parrot MIB for a while, but I gave her to my sister.
Yes, a very important toyline of the early 80s! Awww~ Lime Chiffon I don't have but I got myself the Parfait Parrot last year on my trip to the US. Just love those animals.

I love that you try to guess what was the story of the toys, before that they got to you. Who played them? and what happened there? It's beautiful. You are the first collector, that l know, who does that.

Hmmm is no other collector doing that except me?🙈 I always wonder what life the toys did have before they came in my collection. I prepfer to have toys that were pleyed with before. That's much more meaningful to me than to have one in mint condition. And I sometimes wish you could look back and see what happened to that toy before. So I like guessing~ haha😂

Glad you are feeling better Lau ☺️ A lovely little haul of Strawberry Shortcake! I think it is the same here in the UK as it is in Germany; you barely ever see this toyline here! Even on eBay they are very few and far between (and therefore usually expensive). I have a couple of dolls I have found whilst thrifting (incomplete) but I would love more. The tiny animals are so adorable! Me and my daughter also love watching the 80s cartoons on RUclips - so sweet and wholesome.🥰💕

I don't know anything about the dolls, I think the first time I saw them was on your channel.
But I was really into the cartoon in the 2000s. I think I watched both versions, 2003 and the reboot and also the one that came around 2009/2010... before it changed from 2D animation to CGI
The designs changed a lot during that time and all of them looked nothing like the original 😂
Yes, I remenber we talked about the TV show and you asked me if I ever watched it etc. So I always have to think of you when I find something with the 2000s Emily Erdbeer on it 😉
There were actually also some cartoon episodes of the original line in the 80s. But I think several single specials instead of a combined TV series 🤔
oh my i have been looking for the set. the ones ive seen dont have the clothes. i bought some but they did not have there clothes :( I grow up in the 70's

Yes, I love animals 😊 Right now I don't have a pet. But my parents have a dog and I often take care of her ❤🐕❤ My sisters have cats and when I was little, we had bunnies and guinea pigs. But I'm mostly a dog person. 🐶💗💗💗

Interessant, dass sie sich für Alliterationen bei den Namen entschieden haben und nicht wie im englischen direkt für Gebäck oder Süßigkeiten Namen.
