For me it's definitely 'seven' from folklore. That song conveys the feeling of having a childhood crush or an intense friendship where you later realize why it was so significant to you.
I am convinced that at some point Harry and Taylor just pretended to date to get the “gay rumors” out of the way. On Out of the woods there’s a lyric that says “ the rest of the world was black and white but we were in screaming color 🏳️🌈” maybe referencing how they both aren’t straight!!!
Haylor is so obviously a pr stunt to promote her album and so people will think that her songs are about him but in reality we know that majority of songs on 1989 isn't about him for sure 👀👀
Other honorable mentions would be Ivy, Gorgeous, New Years Day (she changes "I want your midnights" to "her midnights" in live performances), Treachorous, Ours, Seven, False God (same context as "wear you like a necklace" 😳), Cornelia Street, Daylight, the list is truly neverending. Also the fact that she secretly wrote This Is What You Came For under a pseudonym is all we need to know.
Ivy, gorgeous, call it what you want and love story, the "marry me juliet!" always gets me, and I think she's hufflepuff mostly for her kind and easygoing personality, and the cookies cooking part
" wear you like a necklace" is the line in "so it goes" that really gets me...go look it up in the urban dictionary totally sapphic...Also the language thing. Oh and "Betty" used to be slang for a lesbian
There were quite a few other songs which didn't make the cut: Breathe, Back to December, Cowboy Like Me, Dorthea... I may go away and work on a deep dive video. For scientific purposes only.
If you do : watch the making of breathe from way back when part 1 of it : "we're recording a breakup song " part 2 : "it's about a friendship ending " - for scientific purposes of course !
Please make a rigorous deep dive video about the songs of evermore 😬 “ivy” is literally a profound lesbian love song!!! Edit: after strong ravenclaw consideration I actually think she’s a gryffindor 🧐
for me her most lesbian song is Dress,i just love how the sentence "Only bought this dress so you could take it off " could be interpreted in a lesbian way like she bought the dress for a girl so tay can take the dress off the girl.... also I would love to have Taylor in my house, aka SLYTHERIN,i mean she could fit in there just perfectly
Also not to mention how she brings up joe alwyns buzz cut and her hair bleached. Name a female influence around her at the time with their head buzzed. $100 says if she's bisexul or lesbian she into femmes she likely likes longer hair on girls.
@@xoxomanda25 I agree, I obviously have no real idea about her life lol BUT I think taylor and joe are both bi and she is a "top" wlw energy and she likes feminine energy so him being bi works and she likely tops him too (not necessarily physically but energy wise lol) feminine women and men would be more her vibe and if you check her history all her exes are a lil feminine. (These are not digs, I'm pan and prefer feminine energy as well and just see the similarities)
@@xoxomanda25in the OG lyric packet that taylor designed, “buzz cut” was two words. karlies dress had to be cut after a spill at the same met gala where taylor’s hair was bleached
Oh and also Ivy, that song is a love story between two women and no one can tell me I'm wrong! Also I really agree on the fact that she is a Ravenclaw💙
Omg I didn't expect that but I'm sooo here for it ! Yeahhh! :) Seriously, "gold rush" is extremely gay like ... I can't think of someone else than a certain model and entrepreneur when thinking of this song, I really don't see who else could fit this much the lyrics. It's like she saw karlie's "good girl" ad for carolina herrera and was extremely inspired, lmao. But anyway, "treacherous" could have make the cut in her most lesbian songs, as well as "ours", "seven", "it's nice to have a friend" (someone put the song on a cute lesbian car commercial and it fits just right, look at this ruclips.net/video/91nHs-VIEuY/видео.html), "how you get the girl", "tolerate it" (reminds me of family not really accepting a gay child), "dorothea", "ivy", her old unreleased song "angelina" where she sings "angelina's got a pretty face, and really long brown hair" etc, but we could go on for a long time with this because her gay songs are also "delicate", "the archer", "false god", and "holy ground" is really about two girls who cannot dance together at prom. Do straight women sing with so much intensity and vulnerability about loving men ? There's too much to say about this. I'd say Taylor is a Ravenclaw, she's smart, creative and has her quirks ^^
Ivy is very gay! I could do a whole separate video on Evermore songs actually. The general vibe here is that she's a Ravenclaw too, I always thought she might be a Slytherin but now I'm undecided.
I hadn't considered the lack of pronouns in 'August'. It might just be coincidence due to it being written in 1st/2nd person but I think it's supposed to be the other woman from 'Betty' reminiscing about her summer fling with James, so the lack of gender-specific 3rd person reference lends further abiguity to 'Betty'. ('Cardigan' is Betty's view, completing the trilogy of songs about that love triangle.)
1. So it goes 2. I know places 3. Dancing without hands tied 4. Betty 5. Dont blame me 6. Dress 7. August 8. We found wonderland, you and i got lost in it. Thank me later✨
I mean, August it’s from the girl who slept with James’ perspective, and if James is a girl...it’s pretty obvious what I’m trying to say. And I think she could be a Hufflepuff. She’s extremely hardworking, loves animals, kind enough to cook cookies for her fans and very loyal to her group of friends. She’d fit perfectly there, I think.
pls cowboy like me is the gayest song with the most lesbian subtexts I've ever heard. she's basically accepting that her lover is like the gardens of Babylon. it was there.. but you cant prove it. she's a gay genius pls
Hey 👋🏾 , thanks so much for the video, Im a fan of Taylor music and also of all the drama of her romances 😅, and definitely would give my vote for Dress , that song its a classical " I felt for my best friend " gay vibes. To the second question , she's on Slytherin house ✌🏾
Hello! Her romances each have their own fandoms at this point haha. I agree, Dress is one of the ones people pick up on the most for sure. I also think she's a Slytherin first and foremost but people have put forth some good arguments for Ravenclaw so now I'm undecided.
i personally think some songs in the the album lover could've made the cut: false god, Cornelia street, it's nice to have a friend (literally referencing the movie Carol), and cruel summer (in echo with betty's garden)
Dress is 💯 giving vibes about Karlie Kloss. There are theories about the buzz cut, the story of this is that Karlie had so much buzz (media hype) when she cut her dress at the met gala They are separate words not buzzcut like the haircut "Also you made your mark on me golden tattoo", reference to golden - KK and also the golden tattaoos that KK and Taylor got together "Im spilling wine in the bath tub, you kiss my face and we are both drunk" - the secrecy of intimacy in the bathroom not out in public - 100 lesbian vibes "Everyone thinks they know us" clearly the lesbians know....😅 And i dont want you (kk) as a best friend.... DRESS is screaming vibes to me!
So it goes, gives me so much hidden love vibes and the way she sings come here dressed in black is just so 🔥and I don't think you say that to a man. It reminds me so much of how taylor and karly were dressed in these black lace outfits at the VS fashion show And of course dress 👗and ivy and dancing with our hands tied
Okay so I've been thinking about this for literal months but in August and Betty they mention "August" and James SLEEPING NEXT TO EACH OTHER? Like what parents would let their 17 y/o child sleep in the same bed as the opposite sex? Two girls having a sleepover? 100% believable. gay as hell I'm just saying
im here super late but thats good for me cuz now i can offer up "maroon" as one of her gayest songs. "lips so scarlet, it was maroon" is obviously about a woman because that's straight up lipstick. "wonderland" is probably the gayest song if you're a gaylor who knows about her history with dianna agron, but to those who don't must raise their brows at "maroon." bonus for "ivy"- it was featured in dickonson series, and even if it wasnt the vibes alone clue you in on it being a sapphic song❤
The first time I heard Maroon my automatic thought was to think how fruity it was lol. Although I currently think it's dedicated to Jake Gyllenhaal. ;) /nm /pos The colour maroon is a darker shade of red after all, She released Maroon on the same weekend as the tenth anniversary of Red and was wearing a red ring while announcing the song title. The lyrics "The burgundy on my T-shirt when you splashed the wine onto me" It has a parallel with the video clip for All Too Well. In one scene, Sadie and Bryan are sitting on the floor, and a bottle of wine is seen in the background. "And I chose you, The one I was dancin' with, In New York, no shoes" The majority of their romance took place in New York. I hope you are interested in this theory. Although I still think it's THE Evelyn Hugo and Celia song!!
Everyone lesbian listening to Betty for the 1st time (before the name James is dropped): ...wait... OH... Interesting.. NO.. seriously?... OMG... YES Taylor........... (After the name James is dropped) ..😒 ah FFS
Ah but if you look at Blake and Ryan's daughter, she is in fact a girl named James....... so could still be a secret message 😏 a maybe girl.... but also knowing Taylor wanted to have the lively/Reynolds kids feature with better, inez and james (all girls)
i don’t know that many taylor songs but the ones that i do love sound so gay😭. i’ve been listening to her all day today for some reason & i subconsciously needed this video.💀💀 i love this
A couple that come to mind that you didn't mention are gold rush, ivy, Fearless, Sparks Fly, Treacherous, and seven. Also of course (I know this came out after you made this video) from Midnights Lavender Haze, Dear Reader, Maroon, Paris, The Great War, Glitch, Question, Hits Different etc etc
I love this and I love hearing your perspective and reading everyone’s comments but I think what I love most is that many of her songs have no pronouns and the beauty of that is that everyone relates to the lyrics and their own sexuality and that feeling of love and lust and desire no matter who that is. I’m personally straight and many of these songs are my favourites and I’ve always felt they are so relatable to my straight experiences and relationships and that’s what I love about her music. I think the overwhelming experience of her song writing for everyone is that her lyrics make people feel understood in their desire to be loved and seen by people ❤
More info about the 1: the highway that runs along the California coast (i.e. to Big Sur) is called Highway 1/California Route 1 or, in LA parlance, The 1. And Taylor is a Slytherin, I can't think of anyone more ambitious
"Right where you left me" has to be one of the gayest songs as well. First of all the hairpin reference is a dead giveaway queer flag. Then that is followed by the line "Dust collected on my pinned up hair" which to me signifies being closeted i.e. the opposite of letting the hair pin drop but instead it's still there in the hair. Then you get to the chorus and the line of "You left me no choice but to stay here forever" which has been interpreted as Taylor feeling forced to stay closeted because otherwise it would shine too much light on the women she dated and especially Karlies marriage so in respect to them she feels she has to stay closeted.
I agree with most but i disagree about dress because she describes joe when his he had a buzz cut and her hair bleached. I can't think bof any female influences around her at that time with a buzzed head.
Wait 1 of 5 ?! Damn this is further down the rabbit hole than I've seen ! I know places can go either way honestly because the Larry fans are intense. But, damn as a kid in the closest that song really was the best there was
Second (and last) comment but I think you'd like a video on youtube called "gaylor swift & kaylor tiktoks", because it's also lesbians and bi women who basically talk about which t swift songs are gay
For me Taylor is probably Ravenclawn. In love with cleverness for cleverness's sake. However, a very strong case could be made for Slytherin because the queen has almost unrivaled ambition and is willing to do what it takes to make those dreams come true.
I love how you've "given up" as you call it... Taylor isn't even trying to hide this stuff now so no one can fault you for pointing out the obvious haha
Am I too innocent to not know what 'wear you like a necklace' means? Someone please tell me 🥺. I think her most open gay songs are in evermore . 3/4 of the album is gay. The story seems to add up . Small town, girls fall in love at a young age, one wanted fame and status , rejected the other, returned after years, regretted leaving and slept with her again. Simple .😊 For me her most gay song is ivy because the pronouns make it very clear it's about two women . Heck I don't get why people CHOOSE to ignore it🤷
For me her gayest song is: It's nice to have a friend( her song Seven has a similar narrative), it's beyond obvious, she talks about a childhood friendship how they share gloves sleep together in TENTS, they walk from school together etc. but in the last verse she marries the person I MEAN COME ON! This is one of the most obvious cliche "in love with your bestfriend scenarios". Some will say that sleeping in a tent it can be with a boy but let's be real, as kids we did that with our girl-friends, not with boys.
The 3 songs that for me personally give off the most gay vibes are seven, ivy and the lakes. Also you can't convince me that ivy and the lakes aren't written for Emily Dickinson and Sue.
Most lesbian song ......... BREATHE! Just knowing she wrote that about her friend, could be totally innocent, but it's very first heartbreak honestly! And house I vote griffindor- she is smart and analytical, but she does also follow her heart and try to do the right thing as much as she can thus she's sporting the crimson and gold! And I have 2 comments for algrtm

I need this video but updated with Midnights because that album has some very gay songs.
great video
Wait 1 of 5 ?! Damn this is further down the rabbit hole than I've seen !
I know places can go either way honestly because the Larry fans are intense. But, damn as a kid in the closest that song really was the best there was
This was beautiful! Thank you for making this video:) I would also put Treacherous from Red on this list!
Would be good if you actually played a bit of each track
Second (and last) comment but I think you'd like a video on youtube called "gaylor swift & kaylor tiktoks", because it's also lesbians and bi women who basically talk about which t swift songs are gay
For me Taylor is probably Ravenclawn. In love with cleverness for cleverness's sake. However, a very strong case could be made for Slytherin because the queen has almost unrivaled ambition and is willing to do what it takes to make those dreams come true.
Taylor is a Slytherin hands down!!!!
guys what chosen family mean???
What are you talking about? Taylor and Karlie were evidently just reallllyyy good friends
😉
lol
“Lez do this” 💀
Betty is the most gay song since YMCA
Her last three albums do be pretty gay
Mine was dorothea
Lavender Haze. Ravenclaw
I love how you've "given up" as you call it... Taylor isn't even trying to hide this stuff now so no one can fault you for pointing out the obvious haha
If u update this countdown I would like to know where "Ivy" would take place. That is definitely a Lesbian Song
Cruel Summer

Am I too innocent to not know what 'wear you like a necklace' means? Someone please tell me 🥺. I think her most open gay songs are in evermore . 3/4 of the album is gay. The story seems to add up . Small town, girls fall in love at a young age, one wanted fame and status , rejected the other, returned after years, regretted leaving and slept with her again. Simple .😊 For me her most gay song is ivy because the pronouns make it very clear it's about two women . Heck I don't get why people CHOOSE to ignore it🤷
✂️
Got it?
@@kimia3 no.....just tell it directly 😅I'm too tired to guess please
It's sexual. Like someone with their legs around your neck...a necklace.
Urban Dictionary
I say she’s definitely a ravenclaw
It all depends how you spell in the name Jamie disable male version and the female version the female version just as y At the end
My opinion ivy is about lesbians
what about Ivy??
For me her gayest song is: It's nice to have a friend( her song Seven has a similar narrative), it's beyond obvious, she talks about a childhood friendship how they share gloves sleep together in TENTS, they walk from school together etc. but in the last verse she marries the person I MEAN COME ON! This is one of the most obvious cliche "in love with your bestfriend scenarios". Some will say that sleeping in a tent it can be with a boy but let's be real, as kids we did that with our girl-friends, not with boys.
Didn’t exist when this vid came out but When Emma Falls in Love is rlly rlly gay
🙌🙌🙌❤️

And Gryffindor
3:18 favourite quote of the video (but I'm not done watching yet so who knows)
8:29 second place "it's not science, it's just vibes" ✌🏼
you didn’t include ivy? i’m shocked
honestly i think she's a slytherin
I thought I was the only one who thought she was a Slytherin! And it's not a bad thing at all, in real life they're such smart bad asses!
Out of woods 💯
Taylor Swift was like...Guys, please read the book "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo" if you want to know my response to all the rumors and the meaning behind my songs. :D
